Car rental excess policy was regrettably “excessive” . The online process with Simplyexcess was quick and easy. Towards the end of the agreement I needed to amend the return time by a few hours, communicated by e mail , subsequent email response within a very short period of time , agreed and at no extra cost. Will use again.
Quick and Easy - Insurance how it should be!
First time using Simply Excess and glad I did. I had a double tyre blow out in the Albanian mountains which cost over 700 euro to repair. I emailed them the following day to register the claim and they sent a very helpful response, explaining what I needed to do and what evidence I would need to send them. They said that because I had registered the claim by email I didn't need to fill out the forms or send the evidence until I got back as I was only halfway through my holiday. Sixt provided all the evidence I needed and I submitted the paperwork a few days after I got back. Less than a week later the claim was accepted in full and the money on the way to my account.
No stress, no fuss, no push back. Couldn't ask for an easier process and all team members I interacted with were really helpful. Highly recommended and I would definitely use them again for Car Hire Excess insurance.

I normally take out xs policy insurance as the xs on rental cars has gone crazy over the past few years. Used to be typically €150-250 but now over €1000 isn't unusual. Haven't used this company before but 4 days cover was £7.95. Its a no brainer and I liked their follow up emails. Didn't make any claim so can't speak to that experience but I like what I saw.

Good communication from the company. Fortunately I didn't need to use the insurance but received timely emails with advice and links of what to do should I have needed to.

Easy to arrange competitive insurance which negates the hard sell tactics of the ridiculously priced add on policies at the hire company desk, very informative and helpful notifications throughout, although thankfully didn’t need to make a claim.
Good competitive policy, easy to purchase
We have used SimplyExcess a few times now and are happy with the service. The rates quoted are very good compared to car hire companies and the cover is easy to arrange online.
I had a minor issue when I requested a slight change to the end time of my cover period, it took several emails to get the amended policy documents.
Fortunately we have never had to make a claim against our policies so cannot comment on that part of service.
Superb service
Superb service. Wiber Car rental in Majorca claimed we had damaged the car because we had not uploaded pictures on their website within 24 hours. Charged us over £400. Simply excess dealt with this incredibly efficiently. Would definitely recommend!
I had to make a claim for tyre damage…
I had to make a claim for tyre damage which was not my fault was caused by previous wear and tear but unfortunetly tyre lost pressure during my rental. Was charged £200 by a large rental company to replace the tyre. Luckily I had annual insurance with Simply Excess and they responded to my claim very quickly and was very easy to claim. Was all dealt with within 7 days.

Fantastic nice simple website, you pay your covered £15 for 8 days rental the best cheapest quote. I never had to make a claim so dont know what that side is like,but I'm sure based on the simplicity of getting covered the service would be great. Will definitely use again.

Easy process to purchase the insurance. Good email support. At the beginning and end. Cannot comment on claim process as there was fortunately no need. Based on my experience i would expect it would have also been ok. And would recommend them
