This review is not about the company rather a particular product which they sell through b and q Robert dyas garden street etc I ordered the arch top tongue and groove fence gate but the quality is so poor please do not buy online at least if you buy instore you can see what you are getting the gate I bought had expanded and the knots had fallen out leaving holes in the wood very disappointing

My wife bought the set because the price was reduced. The build quality is OK for something obviously mass produced. Although the set looks flimsy, it is actually very sturdy - I'm 17 stone and the chairs don't groan when I sit on them. The finish is adequate and has not washed off in the storms we have recently had. One of the cabin chairs - chair with arms at the side - was broken when it arrived.
My wife took photos and sent Rowlinsons an email. Within two days we had a replacement chair delivered. Very happy with their customer service.
I would buy from them again

Ordered a log shed from them which was described and made to “keep your logs dry” however when the shed arrived it was put together by myself and the roof was full of holes.
I contacted Rowlinson’s customer service who were extremely rude and blunt and basically told me the holes were “natural” this I understand, however I expect the parts to go through some sort of quality check first as the holes are everywhere which then allows rain to enter inside the shed and infact are not keeping the logs dry at all!
I was hoping that the customer service team would replace the roof with parts that do not allow water to pour through the shed. I now have to somehow make this shed waterproof and spend more money before actually using it for its purpose.
Also arrived with a massive chip in the wood.

Terrible and rude customer service and would never use again!!

What a joke,wrong order delivered,waited over a week for a replacement,this replacement had two inferior sections of the border fence,customer service not interested to be honest,as bought through Bradfords told have to go back to them for an exchange,I explained the fence was already installed but the last two which were in a packet of 4 were of a rubbish quality,different wood,different quality and colour,I am not happy at all,these sections do not match and look like they have just been grabbed to make up the packet,they were at the bottom of the packet wrapped in plastic so if same quality why at the bottom where you cannot see them,why they cannot just exchange the two sections is beyond me,excuse I paid Bradfords I said you do not hand out free fencing so clearly you have been paid,I will never deal with this company again!!!!

The staff were very helpfull a young lady out of the office even helped me to see if the chicken coup would fit in my car and then she even helped me load it into my car great service.
The coup itself took us 2 hours to put together and was easy to do it is very good quality and a lot less money than coups of the same quality, thankyou all at Rowlinsons

I purchased their 6 Seater Garden Dining Set via Sheds.co.uk. it is also for sale online via various other suppliers

This garden set was cheap but is very much an example of "You get what you pay for". The build quality of the furniture is okay, it's a nice looking set. My gripe is with the finish, the coating of the product. On day one a bird flew by leaving it's calling card. I took a cloth to wipe it off but as well as the mark the colour & coating also came off taking the finish back to bare wood. Over the course of the next few weeks the colour continued to come off, the furniture faded and bare wood revealed. Indeed, the flags below showed brown stain where it washed off in the rain. After as little as 6 weeks the only answer has been to paint the whole set with Ronseal stain/varnish.

Buyer beware, the product is cheap but not fit for outdoor use without taking steps to recover & protect the wood. It needs immediate DIY intervention, not something you'd expect from outside garden furniture!

My last set came from B & Q and has lasted for 20+ years. Looking at the quality of the wood I suspect this one might be nearer 3-5 years. Time will tell

After saving for a considerable amount of time for my wife who had to retire early due to MS to enjoy gardening, we purchased a £2,200 potting store made by Rowlinson.
The build quality, well there simply is none. It is lap wood stapled we knew this but it is done very badly. Sharp staples through the structural wood and exposed in places. I have trimmed them, but should I have to have done this?
They have used different sized slats so panel grooves do not align, they do have "covers" but even these cannot hide the shoddy alignment, unlike the one in the photo on their website, which was obviously built for a "promo" do not be fooled (catfishing for gardeners?)
On one panel the wooden window would not fit - on inspection the wood insert they had stapled was upside down ?!
I have taken many photos, any one is welcome to see or review.
Good side, the instructions will take some getting used to, but you can follow them and the fasteners were all correct with a couple of extra screws and nails - but for £2k+ you would expect that.
The shed DOES have the potential to be great, but as it appears to be mass produced and not prebuilt or checked it fails badly.
Also, be warned to hold the warranty you need to paint the shed properly - read the small print. We did this prior to construction to ensure every piece of wood was covered. But now Im pretty sure that any replacement panels will be void as they state has to be "resaleable" which make me wonder if they just repack bits until someone doesn't reply or complain ?
I am angry and sad but mostly very disappointed, what was supposed to be an eye catching shed is catching eyes for all the wrong reasons.

I ordered a wooden through planter which costed £200. Definitely quite a high price for that planter when compared to other sellers. However from their website it appeared to have a better quality. It was stained with stamps , there were staples in the visible parts and screws into the visible part. They admitted it should not have passed the quality control and offered to replace it. Unfortunately I had already paid someone to assemble it and would have been a huge hassle and cost to disassemble and repeat. The knock £50 off, which I don’t think was enough. Quality/price was definitely not worth. Costumer service was not great either. I won’t buy from them again.
