This has been a truly awful experience, roughly 2 months ago I purchased the garden new. It came to me with two cabinet doors that the woodgrain didn’t match. One of the doors would not shut the magnetic latches were I asked them to send me the entire unit and I would send this one back. They would not do that. They told me that the door doors wouldn’t be delivered for at least two weeks. It’s now been two months. I’ve sent five emails to the support email and still no response whatsoever. Also the metal posts came without threads for the screws. They said they would send me replacements and they never did so. I bought a tap and die set to thread them myself horrible experience I would never buy from this company again.

You guys are a complete joke I lost track of how long it has taken you to fulfill the multiple orders of blossom plant food that I ordered. You also never updated your site to label the food as out of stock and allowed people to continue to order without any explanation. Your customer service takes days to respond and all you say is it's not our fault sorry.. What a joke.
Critical component not available to repair a thee year old Rise II garden
In early April of this year, 2025, the controller of my three tier Rise II garden failed. Ai this point my garden was a little over two years old. This was the second controller to fail.
I contacted Rise customer support and was invoiced for a new controller. A short time later I received an email from Rise saying the controller was on backorder.
Seven months later the controller is still on back order.
I received a refund and was told I would be notified of any updates. I asked customer support if there was a work around for the controller to get my unit working and the answer was no.
I have a unit less than three years old and is not working. At this point Rise is not supporting the Rise II with spare parts and apparently has no intention to do so

I’ve been emailing and reaching out to support and have had 0 response. Our lights don’t work and we tried getting new lighting replacements but it’s the light control module that is the issue. After chatting with the AI help and having reached out myself to the support email many many times, no one has responded to me and no one has helped me at all. Very disappointing
Never received the strawberries
Never received the strawberries. And got the runaround. It is now October 26th, and I ordered them in July. Emailed customer service a few times, and never received them.

One problem after another.
I have had problems from day one. After a couple attempts my first issue was resolved by replacing a damaged part to my garden. But that was the last response I received. More than half of my pods did not grow anything. A few started but fizzled out before producing the cucumbers or beets. The only thing that seems to grow are some of the lettuce and some of the microgreens. Very sad, very disappointed.
Would not recommend
Not a great experience. Had a working garden for ~5 months and loved it but then it suddenly stopped working. Reached out to the company (which you can only do by chat or email, very annoying) about the issue but they didn't really listen and just sent me another motor. The unit doesn't work so the motor doesn't work. Reached out again and they sent me another motor. Reached out again and they sent me a new garden that didn't turn on! So many minutes I will not get back in my life. Would not recommend.
I ordered a Rise Garden 3 and I am waiting and waiting for supplies.
I ordered a Rise Garden 3 and I have had great success with the initial shipment of seeds and supplies. However, my order from 20 days ago for more seeds - so I can take full advantage of the space the 3 tier garden provides - has not been fulfilled. Nor has the subsequent order from 2 weeks ago been fufilled. There is no communication. With poor delivery and order fulfillment, I can not recommend the system.

I’m so tired of the poor customer service the broken parts that don’t get replaced and the constant or of stock inventory that I am not told about when it is ordered. Considering a different company
Great concept, terrible execution, and even worse customer support.
I purchased a 3-level Rise Garden in September 2025 and received a defective base with a bent frame, cracked back panel, and broken door hardware. The "replacement" they sent was a bare mismatched frame with crumbling rubber feet and no hardware or instructions for assembly. When I contacted support, they stopped replying for days and suggested I rebuild the cabinet myself using the broken parts from the original unit. This was directly contradictory to the product manual which clearly shows that the cabinet ships pre-assembled.
A month later, my garden is still in pieces, and I've filed a chargeback. Rise continues to send marketing emails and sales ads, but my requests for a replacement that can be covered under their stated warranty, or a refund have gone unanswered.
Buyers should be aware that Rise also filters out negative reviews on their own website, and only seems to be concerned with selling new units to unsuspecting customers.

Worst Product that matches the worst Customer Service by Rise Gardens
I am an experienced Hydroponic Farmer, and decided to try out the Rise Garden 3.
Plants did not continue to grow as expected after 3 weeks, then all plants that came with the Rise Garden 3 order, did not make it.
I expected more from a product that is sold for such an outrageous price. I have other Hydroponic Systems that cost less and work beautifully.
I regularly monitored the system, maintaining optimal pH and nutrient levels, ensuring proper airflow to the roots, providing sufficient light, and controlling temperature.
I installed and followed the Rise Garden app instructions to prevent plant loss in the Rise Garden 3 hydroponic system.
All of the Rise Garden products were used as instructed.
Nutrients were balanced and pH levels were optimal.
Lighting was adequate.
Temperatures were correct.
Enough oxygen and sufficient aeration (no root rot).
There was no disease or pest infestations.
Communication Timeline:
Aug 25- Based on the issues we experienced, we decided to contact Rise Customer Service to initiate a return request for a refund. Over a period of 2 weeks, we sent 5 follow up to the previous email, asking for a reply. Received automated acknowledgment reply from Rise Customer Service. Received email from Customer service rep Person. I purchased a return box to return the product. Replied with Screenshots, and requested further guidance, no reply. Rise Garden choose to ignore our emails. Additionally, I dropped a Message requesting assistance form Customer Service in the FB Rise Garden Group. Group Admin requested more details, which I pm to her. No reply. This is the worst Customer service I have ever received. Which matches the product that Rise Garden is selling. I would give Rise Garden -10 if I could. As far as I am concerned, I am sharing my poor experience with everyone that considers Hydroponics. This Company had the opportunity to make it right and failed.

I've hesitated to write anything in the past because, overall my Rise Garden has worked. I've had it since 2020, generation one, and overall have really enjoyed it. That isn't to say that I haven't had a lot of problems with it. I've had to replace the pump twice. Other parts as well. The seeds are hit or miss.
I finally need to replace some of the plastic trays and turns out they don't supply them anymore even though they are selling new gardens. It seems they really don't care about you once you buy it. They also are rude about it and basically say 'tough luck.'
Honest Review after half a year of owning a Rise Garden 3
I truly love my Rise Garden 3—it was a Christmas gift after months of debating between the Gardyn and the Rise Garden. Ultimately, I chose the Rise Garden because its bottom cabinets add both storage and style, making it look more like a piece of furniture than just a garden system. It’s become a beautiful and functional addition to my living space, blending seamlessly with my décor. I also love the convenience of having fresh herbs and vegetables growing right at my fingertips. The hydroponic system makes it simple to get started, especially with the growing manual included, and it’s been rewarding to watch my plants thrive with minimal effort. The only thing I’ll note is that it isn’t the quietest system, but for me the benefits outweigh the background noise.
That being said, I’ve noticed a few drawbacks. Some reviews mention that the portion of the garden holding the water tray has been switched to plastic, the lighting screws are slightly too short and can fall out if I bump into it, and both the water pump and the pump filter don’t stay in place as well as they should. I also had an issue with the upright extension holes not aligning correctly, which caused a screw to get stuck and prevented me from disassembling my garden when I moved apartments.
However, the highlight of this experience was the customer service. Their team responded quickly and was eager to help in any way possible. Reynalyn, in particular, went above and beyond in guiding me through the problem—even though I didn’t know the exact names of the parts—and processed the replacement pieces promptly.
Although I’ve had a few bumps along the way, many of these issues are small and can be fixed with simple DIY solutions. Overall, the Rise Garden 3 is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to grow their own produce indoors, and I wouldn’t trade it for any other large hydroponic garden.
