Very easy to apply for cover online and update the information already held when I changed my car.

Website was generally easy to use but as a business it was annoying to only be able to add 5 vehicles per policy. We were linked to another part of the company who quoted but their cover would have been over £300 more expensive for the same cover.
Also I got a quote but did not purchase until a week later (2 days before I needed cover to start) and the price went up substantially (around £50 per quote) but overall still cheaper than any other supplier.

So fast and so reasonable, made a nightmare a pleasure to deal with, AA and RAC could learn alot from them...(if they're bothered).

I've been with rescue my car probably the last three to five years. the pain used to be that a renewal quote was always significantly higher than if you get went in as a new customer so you always had to book it as a new customer and not accept the renewal. But this year they've taken away loads off the UK national and home cover, they removed help/cover for alternative travel, emergency overnight accommodation and accident assistance, and proceeded to say if you want these things you need to pay for the European cover version which added probably another hundred quid so not surprisingly I've gone elsewhere. changes that have led to lost business.

Purchased national recovery, at home, no excess, breakdown cover from Rescue My Car.

About four/five months after purchasing the cover, unfortunately my car broke down 1,5 hours from my home (Glasgow).
Rescue My Car refused to take my car and me to my home address or the garage that is on the same street where I live. Instead wanted to take me to a local garage in Dundee (!) on Sunday (!) with the next day being a bank holiday (!) Then, I would have to arrange my onward travel to Glasgow. Unfortunately I have had many bags with me, carrying videography equipment.

The other option was to be taken to Glasgow by paying additional fee. Originally quoted me over £260 for taking the car to the home address in Glasgow. Mind you - I purchased a breakdown policy with National Recovery and NO EXCESS!!!

The customer service was very unhelpful, quoting all kids of 'loopholes' in my policy and telling me that the option of taking the car back to Glasgow is off the table due to the tow trucks unavaibilities.

Asked them to text me a complaint form, still waiting for it!

Eventually, I arranged an independent tow truck to take my vehicle back to Glasgow for £190.
