I requested cancellation in the last week of July due to ongoing network and connectivity issues. I specifically confirmed with Rain that I was still within time to cancel and was assured that the cancellation would be processed and I would not be charged for the following month.

Unfortunately, the cancellation was not processed, the debit order still went off, and I had to follow up several times before anyone finally actioned my request.

The router was eventually collected on 21 August, but as of 26 August, I am still waiting for my refund. I have contacted Rain repeatedly, yet I cannot get a proper update from the billing department or confirmation of when my refund will be processed.

The constant follow-ups, lack of communication and failure to action a straightforward cancellation have made this an extremely frustrating experience. I simply want the money incorrectly charged after my cancellation request to be refunded.

Rain oh my god it's such a frustrating subject to talk about because the customer service and online service is excellent and you get help easily, but the product is so frustrating because why am I paying nearly a thousand rands every month but I'm getting 20mbps at best and I've tested it multiple times I've once even gotten 2mbps which is making me consider if I should just get Fibre instead because wow, and don't get me started on the irony of the brand because when it rains it stops working. Please fix these issues I beg.

This company is so quick to charge my account but does not bring back my internet service when they take it down. My family and I have gone a few days without internet because they say I have to settle my balance even though I did.

Bad customer service using a dumb AI assistant that cannot resolve issues to check that I fully paid.
I will be moving to fire as it’s more reliable than this service.

I am extremely upset and frustrated with Rain. I requested cancellation of my account around 2023/2024 because I was relocating, and I was assured when signing up that I could cancel at any time.

Despite this, my account was never properly cancelled, and I continue receiving messages about outstanding amounts. I have been given the runaround for far too long.

I urgently request that Rain investigate this matter, cancel the account, reverse any charges added after my cancellation request, and provide written confirmation that this issue has been resolved.

Rain is very bad its works 100% first few months as time goes rain is very bad signal constantly goes away when you call in they tell you to reboot plug out and all of this but ita doenst help i would recommend all people that take out wifi not to use rain ita almost like a scam you pay 650 for network that constantly goes away its very frustrating everyday the same thing

UPDATE: Day 12 with no internet from Rain. Still nothing.

Ref: 50478926. My original complaint was 7 days ago - it's now been 12 days total with zero connectivity, and Rain still cannot give me a timeline, a real explanation, or a resolution. I run a home office, so this isn't an inconvenience, it's an ongoing hit to my income and my ability to work.

Since my last post: still the same script every time I call - reset the router, switch bands, "we'll escalate," "we'll get back to you." Nobody ever does. No compensation offered. No named person taking ownership of this case.

12 days. No internet. No answers. No accountability.

If you're considering Rain for a service you actually depend on, this is what you risk. I'd strongly advise looking elsewhere.
