Great to have the option of a home service
Great to have the option of a car service at home, which on this occasion was very convenient. The RAC mechanic was professional, efficient and got on with the job at the agreed time, at a competitive price.

Good service and good mechanics
I had to use the RAC breakdown service for the first time this week and was very impressed, I was kept in contact with throughout the whole process. Although there was a problem with ordering the new part my car needed, I would still recommend them.
A special mention to the mechanics Ollie, 8774, and George, 5204 who were very helpful, polite and courteous. Ollie arrived on time, fitted the part quickly and got me back on the road.

Sadly he was given the wrong information about the fault and given the wrong part but on the plus he did a great job to solve the issue didn't get his name but highly recommend him getting to the bottom of the problem will definitely use RAC service again

Incomplete work adds to inconvenience …
I recognise that the oil and filter was changed but part of the work was to Check washers and wipers and make sure the water bottle was filled. On first trip out, despite it being road-tested, there was no water in the water bottle and so I’m unsure how it could have been checked with wiper blade effectiveness. That makes me wonder what else has been ticked ✔️ as complete but remains unchecked. I’ve called the booking line and another mechanic is to be sent tomorrow to check the vehicle again along with work done/not done - However, no time can be given and so I need to take a further day at home. It’s not really reducing the inconvenience as promised, it’s adding to inconvenience, whilst I appreciate that mistakes can happen. What adds to the experience is that 2 mechanics attended to complete the full service, in 2 x separate RAC vans but neither completed the work as promised, it seems.
