Irresponsible lending complaint with the Financial Ombudsmen. They found in my favour and recommended pounds to pocket refund the interest i paid on all loans but they have offered me a very low settlement in comparison and stated that their loans had no detrimental impact to me. It really seems like they don't care.

I felt cheated that i had to apply one star to this company. Absolute crooks. set up a loan with this company to be taken off fortnightly-on my pay day. This worked for about three months at which point they changed the date to the opposite weekend. After several attempts to contact and sort this out i decided to report this company to the banking ombudsman. Five months on still have not got it sorted out and they are now going in and taking out money when ever they feel like it.
There is a drug dealing loan shark just down the road from me who is more trust worthy than this lot. He hasn't got any bad reviews on trust pilot.

These guys will lend you money and constantly bombard you with texts encouraging you to top up and lend more without checking your financial circumstances I have been trapped in debt to them since 2010 and now I am in a right mess one click on your phone and they would give me another few hundred when your desperate it’s too easy even though your strangling in debt there interest is extritionate please stay away from this company and it’s sister company quick quid hopefully they won’t delay in paying what the owe me in refunded interest any longer now the FOS is after them
Incompetent customer service
Ok so I defaulted on a loan during difficult times. They sold the loan and it has since been cleared. They still report the loan as in default and will not accept evidence to show this has been cleared. They even show the money is owed yo them on my account even though they sold it on. Absolutely useless.

Absolute pit of a company socially inadequate people on phones and in live chat, What I will say to any one that has a loan with Pounds to pocket and has had difficulty paying it early is keep notes emails screenshots of live chat and report them to the financial Regulator and also put a claim in for your time and effort.

Another 2 weeks has passed and still no direct communication regarding my irresponsible lending complaint, other than the standard automated response, Inching closer to that deadline P2P!

Did not carry out sufficient credit checks even thoigh I had defaults on many other loans they still offered me £1000 stay away from them totally .Awaiting for them to offer me my redress this better be better quick or we taking it further than they think . They take advantage of the vulnerable
Early repayments not wanted by P2P
They intentionally make it difficult to make early repayments to maximise how much interest they make from you. I spent over twenty minutes searching their website before finding a single mention of early repayment and even then there was no information on how to go about making such a payment. When I then contacted them to ask how making a £200-300 lump sum payment on my loan would influence future payments, they refused to give me this information. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told no one was available and I would have to wait for them to call me back - they said they did, this was a lie as my phone never left my hand that entire day. It's quite clear they don't want customers making early repayments as this reduces the interest paid however unless you're paying your loan back very early, you're still going to get screwed over with the interest because of the set-up of their instalments. For approximately the first half of the loan term, each instalment is made up of more interest than principle amount so by the time you're halfway through you're still due well more than half of the principle amount and hardly any of the interest as you've paid most of it already, very underhand from a company that preys on people who have no place else to turn to in a financial crisis. Oh, and the kicker? When I made the £300 lump sum payment, they took it from the wrong debit card and put my bank account nearly £300 overdrawn. I submitted a four page complaint the other day due to this and numerous other issues but I’ve no doubt I’ll end up escalating it to the ombudsman as their customer service is appalling.

Seems to be the same thing always happening with these people. They approve you for a loan and ask you to send documents, once they receive them they will process the funds, only to find they then want more and more documents of the same and 5 days later decline he application due to credit history! Thought these guys did not base their application process on credit score. Would not recommend pounds to pocket to my worst enemy.... they keep you holding on a string until they are ready and give you false information about processing your money then decline you. Not good business pounds to pocket!
AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!
Took out £1000 loan in June due to an emergency in my family. Had absolutely no other choice. In September I got help through my employer that they would pay off the balance and loan me interest free what they paid at lower monthly repayments (save £100 pcm in payments and £800 in interest). I telephoned on the Friday to get a settlement amount and told that if that amount was paid that day my loan was done and account settled. Amount was paid (I have proof). Telephoned on the Monday to confirm funds received, a women told me it hadn't been allocated yet but don't worry it will be fine but just to be sure I didn't get a fee she would move my payment date back a week (which would have been the next day, Tuesday) to the following Monday. Then I should login to my account Wednesday and if everything showed zero all was fine. Checked on the Wednesday all repayment amounts due say £0. The following Monday comes (where she had moved the payment to) and they take my usual monthly payment! I call and after trying every 20mins since 8am I finally get a wait time of less than 30mins at nearly 3pm. I speak to someone who tells me that the payment is not a mistake because of one of oh so many reasons.....(they keep changing their mind/using all of the following)
1) the settlement amount didn't include the next payment due (not told this when I asked and checked 3-4 times the settlement was final and total)
2) the delay in them processing the payment means I owe money (again told Friday it was final and once allocated the funds would back date to payment date which was the Friday)
3) I had ASKED for my payment to be moved back a week (not true) so I owe them a months payment?!?
4) the total told to me on the Friday was more than I should have been told as it shouldn't have included the next due monthly amount and so they sent back nearly £200 and so I owe them money
I had all of these reasons just kept being offered up one by one and back again during a single phonecall. The manager couldn't explain why my account said all zero balances mid-last week but just that I now owe them money.
AVOID THIS COMPANY. If you are desperate enough to need this type of loan, as I was, please at least use another company. (Note; QuickQuid is under the same company)

I applied to pound to pocket for a short term loan to help with a shortfall in income due to starting a monthly paid job. My application for £500 was accepted and approved and a payment schedule sent for approval and affordability(which I agreed to) I then ticked all relevant boxes and was directed to a page asking for my debit card details(which I wasn't comfortable disclosing) so I clicked the direct debit link instead as this has more guarantees for the payer(me/us) After doing this, I was then told I cant have the loan because of my credit history. I would advise anyone approaching this company to be very cautious of giving your card details as they can take what they want when they want from your card account whereas they cant do that with a direct debit.
Pounds to Pocket
Everyone who was turned down for a second loan with Pounds to Pocket can get a second loan through LendingStream. I know this because I have had about 6 loans and paid back all within a month out oif the 6 months LendingStream allow you to pay back the loan for each one, but the only thing is, is that their computers decide how much to loan you and so, you may not receive the loan you originally applied for. You can still pay back the loan earlier than the 6 - 12 month with Pounds to Pocket but once loan is paid off in full I won't be applying for another one through this company. I know that Pounds to Pocket allows you to pay back the loan earlier than the 6 - 12 month allowed.
Awful avoid at all costs
These are a dreadful profit chasing company who's whole approach seems to be to milk as much money from its victims - I mean customers at the expense of any good practice.

I was referred to this company to help build credit, the rate was high but didn't mind because it was helping yo build my credit. I have never had credit before and I didn't need the loan that they offered and only got it to help build my credit up. After a few months of paying back the loan my credit report still did not show anything. I rang the company only be told they only report it of you don't pay. I asked to pay the loan off only to be told that the first months of the loan you pay the interest first before you pay off any of your loan. So even by repaying early now, it wouldn't make a difference because id still have to pay the full balance I originally got.
NOTE don't get this to help with credit, if your stuck for money in an emergency then yeah as a last resort.

I have had a response from them today advising that they are rejecting my claim on affordability due to the fact that it was 6 years ago and that the FOS will not look at my complaint and that they will not give the FOS permission to investigate!!
I am appalled at them and the tone of the email I received was quite threatening. Awful. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.

Bad Staff bad customer service avoid accedently put unemployed (ment to put self employed.)on the form contacted them to change it to be told it didnt matter once i put that on the form i wouldnt get a loan from them as you need to have a job.
The Staff then canceled the loan after telling me to wait for confermation of the loan being payed into my bank and bombarding me with more information emails.
Ounly to be shouted at by some american woman aviod this company easyer to set fire to your own money
