I made a mistake in my order. I had been considering the choice between 2 fabrics and ordered 1 metre of each instead of 2 metres of one.

I used PayPal and realised my error immediately. I quickly emailed the company within 5 minutes. As it was a Sunday I hoped to be able to intercept the order.

There was no reply so I emailed again an hour later. Each time including order number of course. I then emailed early Monday morning. Still no response.

The fabrics arrived today. I have to accept that I have wasted £20 and have 2 pieces of fabric I have no use for.

I expected at least the courtesy of a reply to my emails

The cotton fabric and interfacing were of good quality and easy to work with. I made a reversible six panel wide brim summer hat with interfacing in the brim. The cotton fabric didn't stretch whilst sewing and the medium weight interfacing adhered without any puckering. The hat has kept it shape after several uses and washes. I would recommend both the fabric and interfacing.

first time ordering from them, I was really impressed with the service and quality. Unfortunately, my experience changed with my following orders.

The second time I ordered, one of the items was missing. I was happy to accept store credit, as I understand that mistakes can happen. However, when I placed another order, I received another missing item, and the material of the product I received was incorrect.

While the prices may be affordable, I would advise caution when ordering. I wouldn’t recommend placing large or bulk orders unless you’re prepared for possible issues with missing items or incorrect products.

Placed an order and waited over a week with no update on tracking or dispatch. Emailed and contacted on instagram and got a response days later after the order had eventually been dispatched. Quite disappointed as this was my first order either them but I don’t think I’ll be placing a second.

I claimed one of the free pin cushion kits with my order. The cotton fabric is lovely. Such bright colours and lovely crisp cotton. It was good to be able to try the fabric this way and I also have 2 lovely pin cushions now.

Good quality. Have given to grandchildren so unable to take a picture.

Like so many other reviewers, I took a gamble on the 30m fabric bundle - knowing it is pot luck and to expect some fabric I can’t/won’t use. Received a bundle of totally unusable, thin, synthetic and somewhat smelly tat. Yuk. Never again

Delivered within the timescale given but was left on the pavement outside my house and driver already driving away before I could get to the door. Also on one of the patterned jersey lengths there was a metre of fabric which had no printed pattern and therefore unusable

Second time buying from the company, never again; I have it a chance. First I was very disappointed by quite a misleading expectation set by the 30m mystery box thing. I knew it wasn’t going to be all amazing but every single fabric in it is a stretch and only one is a natural fiber. It’s not even jersey they’re all incredibly weird or see through, there is literally nothing I can make out of any of it and it’s not even good for mockups. Fine - mystery box is a mystery box. But the second order I placed was for fabrics I chose myself of which only half arrived. There was no message or email about them not being able to send the fabric I ordered so I just received an incomplete order. It took me three emails to get a refund for the missing fabric. Very bad service.

I have used Pound a Metre for a few years. I have been absolutely blown away by the quality and value of the fabrics they sell. Add to this the wonderfully prompt, friendly and efficient service given by Customer Services on the rare occasion I have needed to contact them. I will continue to be a loyal customer and would recommend them highly.

So far quality has been good and because it's so cheap I've been able to order fabrics that I've not used before. If I don't like anything then I use it for practice, at £1 a meter you can't go wrong. Free postage codes are offered quite often.

I have bought many metres of fabric from Pound a Metre. It has always been excellent quality and I cannot fault it. If anything has been out of stock I have been phoned/emailed quickly and efficiently. Excellent service. Delivery is fast. It’s a very good company. Nobody has paid me for this review. It is my own experience.
