Communication with the company was great.
They very quickly sorted out my query and and as a sewing knitwit were very helpful

My order arrived with fabric missing. When I contacted them, they initially ignored the actual problem and simply sent me a photograph proving the parcels had been delivered, completely disregarding the fact that the fabric was missing from inside them.

After numerous frustrating email exchanges, including me being requested to photograph the contents of the delivery (???), they finally acknowledged the issue and promised to send the missing fabric.

They never sent it. They simply stopped responding.

The complete lack of professionalism, accountability and basic customer care is astonishing. I've wasted considerable time chasing something I've already paid for.

Without question, one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. I would never order from Oh Sew Crafty again and strongly advise others to think twice before trusting them with their money. Thieves.

**Wish I'd read the reviews before ordering!**

I bought some fabric advertised as suitable for making sports leggings and fitted crop tops. The listing even has what look like AI-generated images of these exact garments.

I've been dressmaking for 25 years. I knew the second I opened the parcel that there was absolutely no way those garments could be made from this fabric. It simply doesn't have the stretch required.

Contacted them straight away, only to be told they don't accept returns because the fabric has been cut from a roll. We're talking standard 1 metre lengths here, not something specially made for me.

I've explained over and over that I'm not disputing they've sent the correct fabric. I'm disputing the fact they're advertising it as suitable for things it quite clearly isn't suitable for.

Their response? The descriptions and suggested uses came from their supplier. Apparently that's that then.

I've now had to open a PayPal dispute, which is a time-consuming process with many steps to navigate. All over £18! At this point it's barely worth the effort, and I do wonder how many people just give up rather than go through all this. Perhaps that's what they're banking on.

I'm a small business owner myself, so I'm usually very understanding when things go wrong. But this has been unnecessarily frustrating.

If you're buying fabric online, you rely on the descriptions and images to know what you're getting. Apparently here you're expected to order a sample just to check whether the fabric can actually be used for what they're advertising it for.

Wish I'd saved myself the £18 and the headache.

I'm actually quite angry reading this response, because I feel it's deliberately misleading.

You acknowledge that customers rely on your product descriptions and images, and that statutory rights still apply where goods are not as described. Yet when I contacted you immediately after receiving fabric that was unsuitable for the very garments you advertise it for, you repeatedly refused to accept a return or issue a refund.

You continue to point to your supplier's recommendations as though that somehow removes your responsibility. It doesn't. Your customers purchase from YOU. Their contract is with YOU. Whether the inaccurate descriptions and images originated with your supplier is completely irrelevant to the customer.

You cannot acknowledge customers' statutory rights in a public Trustpilot response while refusing to address those same rights when a customer actually raises a complaint.

And suggesting, yet again, that I should have ordered a sample completely misses the point. Customers should not have to pay extra to check whether your advertising is accurate!

The PayPal case has now closed in your favour because I missed a ridiculously short deadline to submit additional evidence and I am unable to see what response you provided.

Looking through your other reviews, complaints about customer service are hardly isolated. You say you take feedback seriously, but at what point does that translate into actually changing how you treat customers?

I'm a small independent business owner myself. I understand mistakes happen. What I don't understand is the refusal to take responsibility when they're pointed out.

All of this over £18. An absolutely appalling way to handle a perfectly reasonable complaint.

Good communication, beautiful fabric very pleased with my purchase, would recommend.

Great experience every time with Oh Sew Crafty. Always updated on deliveries. Website very easy to use and simple paying. When something I ordered had been suddenly out of stock they emailed me and offered to replace with a substitute of my choice. When I did this they were very fast with a response and my order was completed and processed. The quality of the fabric has always been outstanding and colours spot on. I am now a regular customer.

I have most of my fabrics from this company, and have done for a couple of years. I make Textile bags and purses + Christmas tableware.
Mail order is dealt with quickly and they will always ask for advice if something out of stock.

I’ve placed several orders with Oh Sew Crafty and they always despatch quickly. The fabrics are incredibly good quality. They’re one of my favourite, go to, online fabric shops.

​I am extremely disappointed with both the product and the seller. During use, this item sheds an alarming amount of microplastics, which is a significant quality and environmental concern.
​When I contacted the seller to report the issue and request a return, they were completely uncooperative. Not only did they refuse to accept the return, but they also had the audacity to claim that releasing massive amounts of microplastic is "completely normal." It is absolutely not normal, and selling such poorly made, hazardous items while refusing to take responsibility is unacceptable. Buyers beware: poor quality and zero customer support.

I’ve had a really bad experience with this company. It feels like a scam to me, and I’m starting to think this is how they operate.

I bought two metres of fabric from them, but they sent me a completely different fabric, with a different colour and pattern. I emailed them asking for a refund, but I still haven’t heard back.

This was actually my second shopping experience with them. The first time, I bought a sewing pattern, but they later told me it was sold out and suggested replacing it with something else.

It seems to me that this might be their main selling strategy: you order something, they send you something similar instead, and many people probably can’t be bothered to complain or don’t even notice the difference.

Having asked some technical questions re one of the fabrics they supplied me I was contacted back immediately and received a very detailed and full answer to my question. Very impressed

One of my ordered items wasn't in stock. I was informed promptly and the refund given without delay.

Posting and tracking details were full and timely.

I'm also really pleased with my array of perfectly packaged buttons!

I ordered fabric that i needed the next day. The service i received was great.
The fabric came on time and the fabric was good quality, good price and suited the job.
I communicated via email, which was responded to promptly.

I have bought fabric from this company many times and always had good service, I had a small problem with my recent order they not only replied to my email on a Sunday evening but sent me a replacement within two days , excellent customer service

Customer service is so good and so quick. I had to cancel an order because I was unable to source all the yarn I needed for a project. The money was refunded within half an hour of my request.
I will definitely shop with them again.

Ordered off ebay, and spent close to £50 on 4m of fabric and multiple gutterman threads. I've been charged and notified that my order was dispatched. I paid for 48hr royal mail tracked postage and no tracking number was ever shared. The seller is non responsive on ebay and its been 8 days with no delivery or information on the status of my order, let alone resolution to this. Other reviews detail similar experiences. I havent got my money back nor my order and have been ignored by the seller despite multiple messages requesting my paid for tracking details and updates on the whereabouts of my order. It appears that nothing was sent, my moneys been taken and they wont be responding nor refunding me. Ill be taking this further with ebay, but would never use this company again based on my experience. Incredibly disappointing.
