Pets and friends in Wollaton.

Brilliant groomers, we've taken our cockapoo puppy there twice now and they always do a really good job when they groom him.

I have been using this company for 18 months now. They are professional and so courteous. Because we have a dog whose weight has to be managed very closely her intake of food needs to be varied depending on her weight. So I can’t always stick to a regular order schedule. Sometimes we need lesser food while other times I might have to bring an order forward. Nor do we have a great amount of space to store large bags of pet food. The team is understanding and has always worked with me to accommodate my order schedules. I am really grateful to them for making the process of shopping for pet food seamless. And I know that our dog will never be without her usual pet food.

This company is great value for money and always got what I need when I need it.

I take my 2 cocker spaniels to be groomed every 6 months at pets & friends and the staff are always lovely. My dogs are a little nervous but they always accommodate and let me know how they have got on. They have the full groom and normally the additional package and they always come home looking and smelling beautiful.

The staff are really friendly, we came to get our dogs nails clipped but they didn’t need doing. We have a border collie who had a very matted tail and bum. Everyone we tried said they would not shave it. The groomers were happy to do it , although she looked silly at first the fur has grown back beautiful. Can’t thank them enough .

Despite being obviously disabled struggling and in pain staff member found it necessary to take a rude and condescending attitude as to where i parked. Despite the fact there was nothing by way of a visible instruction indicating it was a no parking area. Was booked in for the grooming service as a first time customer needless to say left the store and will not be returning

I Can no longer see the pets and friends web site because a there discount pop up blocks the site from view .. I hope they take it down soon because it’s very annoying and it stops me viewing there products.. and it won’t click off …

Waited over 1 week for delivery of dog food, still nothing, no response to emails and no delivery after paying £5 for the delivery, shocking customer service, do not use this company.

We took our cat to try their in-house grooming services. We requested for a good brush and claw clipping (to the wick as our vets usually do).

Before the negative review, I will state their mannerism/customer service is diligent. Also, We were happy with the brushing service.

HOWEVER, I believe the clipping service was extremely disappointing and I believe a bad-taste method to make the public returning customers. After visiting the first time we found the team actually missed a couple of claws on each paw, therefore, we returned and they happily cut his claws free of charge which was expected, respected and hence we returned home. We later found out the service was again almost as bad.

Had they cut it well, we would have been recommending their services.

brought two heatbulbs, cost £8 each, one literally exploded the first day and almost killed my couple of day old chicks, put the second bulb in and the next day that was also blown, not very happy, £16 for two days heat and an exploding killer bulb.

They cancelled our order, apparently due to lack of stock, which has caused us issues with obtaining dog food in time now.

I visit pets &Friends on a weekly basis and spend a significant amount of money.
Always been greeted with a smile and trust.
Today I was disappointed in the service I received from the assistant in the shop.
I got my 2 dogs their treats as I do on a weekly basis and the lady who served me never offered a smile a thank you or any kind accommodating service.
The lady tipped all the trays out of the bag which consisted of rabbit ears, lambs legs and another treat, while people behind me. Very uncomfortable feeling when I told her how many there was.
Some might say it’s their job but I go in there weekly.
Again not a thank you after spending £55.

I will be finding an alternative shop that’s for sure!
Horrible experience after a full day at work to that.

Appalling customer service at the Gamston store. I had bought a Coach toy at £12.49 which states that it can be used in the water. Sadly, as it is full of sand, it swelled up and burst its seams after a couple of plays.
I took it back and the store contacted the manufacturer.
They said they would replace it, but I requested an alternative to that value as it was not suitable. The store manager refused this, saying it had been sent direct from the company,( despite having a Pets & Friends price tag on it) and that my dispute was with the company - i.e. nothing to do with the store.
This is wrong, according to my Consumer Rights, and I will be raising it with the Complaints Dept.

I visited the Wollaton branch the other day as I recently got a new kitten and needed some help choosing the right food for her. Fran was incredibly helpful and informative. She was also super friendly and kind! Thanks Fran!!

Website unable to cope if stock is unavailable. You add items to basket and then it's unable to ship or click & collect to your preferred store. It doesn't tell you what quantities could be shipped or collected or offer you date when stock could be shipped. This happens too regularly and is time consuming to call customer services to rectify. I've given up and gone elsewhere.

Normally I would give this company five stars, however as you can see this particular purchase only warrants a single star and is meant as a heads up. Ok what's annoyed me well let's just say that when it was ok ets at home and you washed your dog in the facilities provided it was £5 for 15 minutes and the last time we did a dog wash ourselves it was £7.50 for 15 minutes. Today I've taken our golden retriever down to give him a wash as he not long ago used the grooming service there which cost £45 very good price but was shocked to be told just for the dog wash facility was £15 for 15 minutes which I find extortionate even taking into consideration the price of electricity today. So I ended paying £30 for a wash and for £15 more I could of had a groomer wash him, dry him, clip his nails and make him smell amazing. Pets & friends your having a laugh 🤬
