🚨 ABSOLUTE THIEVES! 🚨OVER $200 & GOT NOTHING!
I’ve been fighting since April 2025 to get a $60 refund from Four for a StubHub transaction that never even existed. I’ve spoken with multiple reps — Leandro (May 2), Jackie B. (May 19), and Chrissy (July–October) — all of whom confirmed the refund was coming. It’s now been over six months, and instead of fixing it, they’ve charged me $167.46, including $30 in bogus late fees.
I’ve filed formal complaints with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Indiana Attorney General, and now the Better Business Bureau. If this isn’t resolved immediately, I’ll be pursuing small claims court.
The constant run-around, empty promises, and complete lack of accountability are unacceptable. I strongly advise everyone to avoid using Pay With Four — they absolutely do not stand behind their customers. I literally have emails spanning nearly 7 months where I’ve been told to give them three days to look into it initially back in April different emails stating it could take 30 days and even recently now they say it can take up to 120 days and that there’s “nothing they can do until the “to do by”, date at the END OF NOVEMBER!! I had so much proof it’s insane!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE THIEVES!! Klarna, Afterpay, Sezzle, etc… all of which I have and use on a regular basis and I have NEVER had a single problem with them, stealing money from me. Even after blocking “Pay with Four, as a merchant with my bank, they somehow deducted money from an account that I had permanently deleted from that app. So even when you think you’ve deleted your debit/credit cards, DO NOT TRUST THEM!! I will be filing in court if my refund is not paid in full up to the amount of $222 within 7 days from today! I’m DONE WAITING & DONE PLAYING GAMES!! if any of us owe them money, let us try to push that off for even three days let alone nearly 7 months!!!

I placed an order with a known scam company, Loragal, using Pay with Four. After requesting a refund with no response, my account was placed on hold. Support offered no real help and told me to try again in 7 days. I’m being penalized for a situation outside my control. This platform needs better protection against fraudulent merchants.

They took my money for a purchase the merchant couldn’t verify the card that Four had provided so the whole order got cancelled then Four decided that I had to wait almost two weeks for a refund because of their mistake. Then, turns around I try to do another order I have almost 8 hundred dollars to use I try to buy some sneakers for my daughter they said spending limit too low like what??? Make it make sense then they have a bot chatting you that don’t understand nothing you are saying that number that’s provided in their policy says oh we are not accepting phone calls as of yet so there’s no way to even contact them you basically have to go over them to get any answers.

Doesn't honor legitimate refunds
I have used the app for several months and it was okay; I did have a few orders cancelled and refunded and Four honored them. However I placed an order with PetSmart that had to be voided and refunded due to a shipping issue and I filed a claim with Four, supplying the proof of the refund via screenshot attachment only to have them reject the claim and refuse to refund me. I have emailed them several times and have gotten nowhere so I have filed a complaint with a consumer protection agency and my next step is my bank. It seems to me that Four just picks and chooses what it will honor at random while ignoring the fact that it's a legitimate claim. When a company refunds an order the funds go back to the card used and the card company is informed about that however Four is claiming that they have gotten no notification of any refund. So I am out nearly $70 and my merchandise. They've lost me as a customer and I intend to recover my money.

You're paying for a subscription to use basic stores only to not be able to purchase anything. I have made all of my payments on time, yet my spending power is $0. If I could give them 000000 stars, I would. 1 is, unfortunately, the only option. I placed 2 orders online through one of the merchants that I just happen to buy from regularly and have for many, many years. Because of some personal things going on, the first time, they reshelved my order and canceled it. The second time, I called the next day and they said they only hold your card until pick up and then the card is charged so my first order was actually never even charged at all. (They have a 3 day period before company policy states it's to be canceled and reshelved, I wasn't aware of this at the time but it makes sense and is fair.)
I asked them to go ahead and cancel this second order because I wasn't certain I'd be able to have it picked up in time again and instead of waiting the 3 days, it would be better for them and for myself to just go ahead and cancel it and that would insure that the funds had had time to be credited back to my account I could use it with the account all cleared up. She assured me that my card hadn't been charged and wasn't sure how FOUR worked but that they didn't charge me. I have spent literally HOURS trying to get help with my FOUR account, which has yielded more headache, confusion and stress than I can even express. They have taken the money out of my bank account for the initial payments for both orders and I'm due for my second payments on both orders starting with the first in 2 days and I feel SCAMMED. This is also a time in my life where I have never been less financially secure and this is causing me a great deal of other problems because I simply don't have the money to "rob Peter to pay Paul" and my bank account with be in the negative within a couple of days and I have so many other bills that are a priority and necessity and I put faith in this company and used an account I've had for many years and never used because I needed the help and I carefully planned this so that I could make it work. Not only did it NOT help to purchase something I couldn't afford to otherwise, I got NOTHING and it has cost me enough after only 2 weeks that I am in a huge bind now so YES, THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY EVEN FOR THINGS YOU DID NOT END UP BUYING OR GETTING AND IT IS INDEED A SCAM BC THERE IS NO WAY TO CONTACT THEM IN WHICH TO GET A RESPONSE.

I have an order that I placed on Amazon for $217. Pay by Four charged me my first payment along with the second payment of the same amount on the same day when I go to my account on the app it shows that I have two orders of exactly the same amount from Amazon with the same due dates and same payment amounts they’re double billing me for the same exact order. I have sent numerous emails with copies of both of the invoices from their app plus one invoice from Amazon showing my original order and a copy of my bank charges showing that I’m having double amounts being billed to the Support email and nobody has responded back to Me. They are double billing me for the same order. It’s absurd that this company does not respond back to emails, and there is no way to contact a human being regarding a Support issue. I’m giving them one more week and then I am contacting my bank asking them to look into fraud being done against my account with this company. This is ridiculous. First of all I was not offered $400 worth of credit so how they can give me $434 (total between both orders being billed).

I wish I could give no stars at all. Not having an actual customer service phone number or actual live chat makes it extremely hard as a customer. I have sent 3 emails and 3 messages on chat and no response. I need to speak to someone about my order.

I absolutely love using Four to pay for my purchases! I have bought a lot of new stuff that I probably would not have been able to get without using Four. My credit is terrible but I'm doing great with Four and hopefully they will be reporting to the credit bureaus soon. If they did it would be extremely helpful for me! Either way I am very happy for the opportunity to use Four and I greatly appreciate them taking a chance on me even though I have bad credit.

Horrible customer service, or moreso a nonexistent one. Waiting on my refund and no one to contact. Overcharged my bank account and can’t even refund that. Only use this if you’re incredibly desperate, but even then I still wouldn’t recommend. Either this is a scam or an incredibly incompetent company. Or both.
