Panda does not seem to be a legitimate recruiting agency. I read an advert of theirs on LInkedIn for Head of Translational and Precision Medicine that had copied and pasted text from an advert for Head of Biomarkers by ProQR (specifically that the role focused on "CNS and liver disorders"). On the phone the recruiter Rafael Resende said that ProQR was not the company in question, but that he could not tell me what the actual company was nor where it was located. The next day the text of the advert had changed to "oncology and genetic diseases". And I did not hear back from the recruiter, despite a request for an update. I am not sure this agency is real or if they are just collecting people's data.

There is an air of illegitimacy about this recruiting agency. I spoke to a recruiter who refused to divulge any information about the company he was representing and then there was zero follow up and no response to my request for an update. I do not recommend associating with Panda.

I'm writing this review to warn others, especially experienced professionals, about my deeply disappointing and exploitative experience with Panda International, specifically with recruiter Eliana Cabral.

I was approached for a role with a major international client (J&J) and initially told the salary would be €3,800 net per month. However, it was later revealed this figure was gross, not net — and on top of that, there were no standard employee benefits. No transport allowance, no meal vouchers, no phone/internet cover, no insurance, and not even clarity on social security contributions. Everything came out of my pocket. When I asked questions, I was met with vague or misleading responses.

Worse still:

My work hours were changed (from 40 to 38 hours/week) in the contract without explanation.

Key details and skills were removed from my CV before being submitted to the client — without my permission.

The contract was entirely in Dutch, even though I don’t speak Dutch, putting me at a clear disadvantage.

I was pressured into accepting a salary that did not reflect my 23+ years of professional experience in data and legal operations.

The final compensation was barely €2,400/month net, which is completely unacceptable for the seniority and scope of the role. It became clear I was being intentionally underpaid, while the recruiter likely earned more in commission than I would in monthly salary.
calculating all that I had to pay out my salary especially to go to the job I will be around 1400 euros leaving in poverty line struggling to pay rent and food this is shocking.

I ultimately withdrew my application to preserve my integrity. Sadly, the client company did not take accountability for the recruiter’s actions, and I was left to face the fallout alone.

⚠️ Be very cautious if you are an experienced professional working with Panda International and Eliana Cabral. Demand clarity upfront, insist on documentation in your language, and do not accept vague verbal promises. This was not just unprofessional — it felt unethical.

Bad customer support and late response.

Slow service and bad products.

Typical head hunting company. First: everything is very important but later on no more communication. You need to follow up to learn that the job isn’t available anymore. I didn’t care about the decision but the low respect shown by the recruiter! I would not respond to this company anymore as they treat candidates with no respect after there client decided for a candidate.

Het is vandaag de 4e keer dat ik zelf achter de bestelling aan moet. Vorige keer zelfs 2 uur moeten wachten. Je gunt iedereen een herkansing. Maar....
Nu weer 20 minuten later dus ik bel.
Blijkt de bestelling nog niet eens klaargemaakt te zijn.
Ik zeg dat is de zoveelste keer dat het veel te laat is. Vorige keer was het zelfs koud.....
En ik geef dus aan het eten niet meer te willen, wordt veel te laat.
Zeker als het ook nog niet klaar is

Ik had dus 17.30 eten besteld
Zou 18.40 komen
19 uur belde ik, bleek eten nog gemaakt te moeten worden
Ik annuleer
En om 19.44 uur staat panda op de stoep
Na annulering, er is dus geen goede communicatie bij het bedrijf

As independent consultant, it is quite important to have a direct and period contact with recruitment agency, like Panda-Int., mainly when contract ending is approaching. I like Panda B.V. because it focuses on finding serious people as the right candidates for real good jobs and they strive with being open and transparent about their assignments. Very serious and reliable agency , I totally recommend !
