Poor communication, lost paperwork, inaccurate reports.
Never again.

I enquired about a property that I'd like to view around 3pm online via Rightmove. I was called around 11am the next day to arrange a date and time. I told Jack what I was looking for and he sent me one email in the following days with details for a property that was a long way out of the areas I said I would consider and quite a way over my top budget, so I unsubscribed from such emails. The viewing itself went well, the lady, Diane, was there before me and the property was all opened up. I wasn't hurried and Diane freely shared her knowledge of the property and area. The next day I received a text message inviting to complete an online form to give feedback, so I did. The day after that I received a call from Jack asking for feedback, when I said I had already provided it via the form he said he hadn't received it (a waste of my time) so I gave my feedback to him. He said he would let me know if anything changed regarding the property whilst I was still considering putting in an offer or not. Thursday at around 13:30 I see the property it now marked as sold but I've had no further contact from Jack or anyone at P&P.

It's just poor. Slow to respond. Ask for preferences and then send details of a property completely outside of them. Request you complete forms online which must go straight into the bin and then don't do as they say they will.

They didn't even offer to value my current property which I said I would be selling.

Don’t use avoid!
They treat you like a child and speak to you as if your stupid,
but it’s your property your selling!
We did not feel we was treated like the client! Awful experience at one point we felt harassed and intimidated they do not work in the clients best interest avoid avoid

My experience with Palmer & Partners Ipswich regarding a rental was deeply disappointing. I was originally told a mid-to-late August move-in date would be fine—only to later receive a call insisting on early August, with no flexibility or acknowledgment of prior communication.
Also for the viewing, the agent didn’t even turn up. Thankfully, the site manager—who was not part of the agency—was professional and kind and showed me round but Unfortunately afterwards, the agency’s own communication was curt and unclear throughout not even apologizing for not turning up for the viewing. When I flagged a small error in my application about my
date of birth , I was met with impatience.

In the end after politely withdrawing saying that I cannot proceed due to the conflicting move-in expectations, I received a bounce-back message from the original application form submission—suggesting that I’d been blocked from their mailing list. I hadn’t been rude at any stage, but was made to feel like I was wasting their time, despite the disruption and effort on my part for open and honest communications.
My application for the flat felt like an inconvenience to them.

This goes back two years, but I thought it might be helpful to others.
We had sold our home, had a mortgage arranged via a broker, conveyancer also in place.
We wanted to offer on a property we had viewed, we were asked about finances, we said yes please do contact out registered broker who will confirm we have the finances proceed.
They refused to forward our offer to the vendor of the property we wanted until we had spoken to their in house broker. This broker took a very long time to contact us l, a very stressful situation, in the end we didn't buy via Palmers. We watched the panorama programme last night and it it reminded us of this so thought it would help others to state what happened.
At the time we thought the insinuation was that we were lying about out finances or that the broker we had was, now we wonder if something else was actually happening

If I could put a minus, I would. Absolutely useless, they valued my property and within 2 weeks they were telling me to lower the price by £75k!!!! When I asked why, they said the person who valued the property doesn't know the area, and over valued it. They never return calls or do a courtesy call once a fortnight as promised when the house went on the market, I spoke to woman who lives in the next road to me, who also had her house up for sale with them, and took it off with palmers, and put it on with another agent, due to the same reasons.
I was told at the time, they had lots of people on there books, looking for a property like mine, I didn't get one viewing or enquiry or even a courtesy call to keep me in the loop. Very poor customer service and would advise not to use this agent.

We had our house on the market with them for approx. month or so they produced as single viewing, the buyer showed up on time and the estate agent did not show at all, the customer left after 30 minutes waiting and was not seen again. No explanation was given, that's what I call business sense!

As I put forward an offer on a property that was refused, if it was even put forward.
I have just seen the property in question sold for £18000 less than my offer.
If you are looking for the best price for your property I don’t recommend this company.

I'm not from Colchester and just rang to enquire about a house on Military Road. The Man i spoke to didn't like the question of how is it valued when there are the same style houses near by cheeper. He got really aggressive and said there's houses more expensive and houses cheeper it is what we say it is. Finding this response odd i said ok ill go do some more research on the area and he tutted at me and slammed down the phone. I was expecting him to tell me it's near a certain school or amenities. Disgraceful behaviour and I hope he dosent further effect the seller with this un professional service.

Used Palmer & Partners for my mother’s bungalow sale, throughout I found them very professional & kept us up to date throughout the process.
A special mention must go to Harry who was very polite & professional, my mum is 88yrs & Harry was very patient. Well done all involved, would definitely recommend.
