I wanted to buy some wired ribbon for my daughters birthday presents and found this company and ordered it… they were very professional and answered my email very promptly got it out to me very promptly… it was beautiful the ribbon!

Have been using this company for a number of years, also quite competitive on price and lots of stock choice as well. Communication is excellent with company and alternatives are always offered if a certain item is out of stock. Would definitely recommend 😀

Although three of the items were out of stock Oh Sew Crafty got touch to advise me and I chose an alternative. They replied to my email within a few hours Very good customer service. Nothing too much trouble as it should be. Jannette

Order placed Thursday 13 August. Email received afternoon of Tuesday 18 August letting me know the fabric has 'become out of stock whilst processing the order'. The email mentions they want to offer me a substitute: no mention of a refund, The email says they will deal with it (substitution) 'right away' but despite mailing them at 3:30pm, I have not had a response. Then I receive an automated email asking me to leave a review on Trustpilot!!!

It has clearly taken them 5 days to start to process my order. In that time, I can only assume the bolt has remained on the shop floor where someone can walk into the warehouse and buy the fabric there and then leading to my order not being met and being offered a substitution.

The fabric was needed to cut another bodice after fitting adjustments, so now I have collar pieces, sleeves, and a back bodice for a blouse I cannot complete all because OSC did not start to process my order (ie remove the bolt from the shop floor) in a timely manner leading to the fabric becoming out of stock AFTER my order was placed and paid for. Not only that but the haberdashery items I have used are now wasted.

And none of this has been handled in real time. There has been no phone call to discuss and, as I mentioned above, the email makes no mention of a refund; just a substitution.

I have ordered numerous times from Oh Sew Crafty, and every time, I have been left very happy :) Everything comes as described, and often arrives quicker than the expected delivery times! They have also recently amended an order for me a day after placing it, which I am incredibly grateful for! The prices are affordable, and the variety of products they offer are perfect for my millions of hobbies. They continue to be my favourite store to purchase supplies from!

I had an utterly terrible experience with this company. They shipped me the wrong colour fabric. I contacted them and said it didn't match what was on the website, but was assured that it WAS the correct item as they'd had to order it in special for me, and any differences were due to variation in lighting. They tried to guilt me into not leaving a negative review by saying they were a "small family business" and how negative reviews could damage their reputation. I fell for it hook, line and sinker. Their T & Cs say they won't accept returns or refunds on "custom cut fabric", so I took my lumps, washed what they sent, and cut a small 3 x 3 inch square from a corner to see if I could try and get it dyed to match the intended colour. I did ask them to consider re-taking their product photos because the fabric I'd been sent differed so drastically in colour from what I expected and I didn't want the same thing to happen to anyone else.

They said they would speak to their supplier. After not hearing anything for three weeks, I reached back out to see if they had an update (thinking maybe they would be re-taking the photos). They told me that their supplier had sent them samples which confirmed what I'd been correct -- they had sent me a completely different product. They didn't offer to send me the correct product or even a partial refund. They offered me a 5% discount (which was a total of £1.50), and when I expressed shock at this, they offered me 10% off a future order. So they sent me a COMPLETELY different item, gaslit me about what I was seeing (literally said salmon pink was the same as deep red, it was just the lighting making it look different), and their solution was for me to give them MORE money in the hopes that they might get it right next time? When I pointed out that their website states they will replace or refund incorrect items at their own cost, they told me that they couldn't do that for me as I'd washed the fabric and cut a small piece out of it. I only did this AFTER they assured me I'd been sent the correct product AND their terms said they wouldn't be able to refund me anyway. So basically, they created a situation where they could send me whatever they wanted, and if I wanted any redress, it would cost me more money! To say this is the worst customer service I'd ever received would be an understatement. I feel so foolish and like I've fallen for a complete scam. My advice: AVOID THIS COMPANY! They take no responsibility for their mistakes, disrespect and lie to their customers and then have the nerve to offer you "support" in the form of further lining their pockets. Such a horrible experience.

EDIT: Rather than responding to my emails, the company have chosen to respond to all the reviews I've left claiming to have offered/given me a full refund. Their comment below is a lie. They haven't offered me anything and I've not received a refund from them. It's not even like this is happening in quick succession -- their comments were made an hour apart. In that time they could've reached out to me, but didn't. Please do not trust this company.

Lovely selection of all haberdashery and particularly materials. Very happy with customer service.

I ordered some quilted fabric (£5.83) and 3 reels of thread (£4.74). Packing and post was £4.95. 'Oh Sew Crafty' sent me an email letting me know the fabric was out of stock. Therefore I was spending (with P&P) £9.69 on 3 reels of Gutterman thread. I felt i wouldnt order anything else from them. Yet it actually got worse as they didn't refund the £5.83 for the quilted fabric. So i paid £17.65 for 3 reels thread. 'Crafty' is a good name for this company, and 'Oh Sew Crafty' is even better. Please remember this name and my experience. (Just spotted this in case anyone queries total of £17.65 .. Oh Sew Crafty added £2.13 VAT on top of other charges).
Oh Sew Crafty have responded to the above review and told me they have refunded me for the fabric and the VAT charge was not on top of the total charge but part of it. I did understand that the VAT was part and only mentioned it so the figures i gave were correct. They have not refunded me for the fabric, and I can read my bank statements.

Fabulous website, easy to find everything you need as well as things you didn't know you needed! Super choice of all sewy and crafty items. Great service, quick delivery and quality products. Excellent customer service; Royal Mail lost the parcel and there is a replacement being shipped. Highly recommended.

I mistakenly re-ordered the same fabric twice. I emailed immediately and had a reply almost immediately confirming the cancellation of the 2nd order. What amazing customer support.

Company needs to correctly label colours. Their site shows a roll of pure white velvet but when it arrived it was pale blue. They don't accept returns on the basis that cut from the roll is a cut to order. Have 2m of unusable pale blue velvet now.

I'm sorry to hear the fabric wasn't suitable for your project.

I have checked your order and can confirm that the correct white colourway was supplied. As the fabric has been cut to your requested length, it is a cut-to-order item and is therefore not eligible for a refund unless it is faulty or supplied incorrectly.

As colours can appear differently depending on screen settings, lighting and monitor resolution, we always recommend ordering samples before purchasing larger quantities to ensure the colour is suitable for your needs.

This was the worst and most unusual customer service experience I've ever had. I ordered fabric to make samples for a new product and one of the four fabrics I ordered arrived with black marks on it, and I still haven't received a response about that issue almost 3 weeks later. On top of that, all the fabrics were cut very uneven and jagged, as though they had been roughly hacked at.

I also received no response to either of the two emails I sent, despite trying to resolve the issues directly. My delivery instructions were ignored, which added to the frustration. When I finally found a way to get in touch via WhatsApp, the messages I received were unprofessional and did nothing to reassure me that my concerns were being taken seriously.

Overall, I understand that mistakes can happen and that damaged products are sometimes unavoidable. However, the lack of communication and poor customer service were extremely disappointing, and I would not order from this company again.

I have just received an order from this company and I didn't get the amount I ordered. Upon receiving the fabric, I decided it did not meet my requirements so I contacted them and asked if I could return the fabric and have a refund or credit note. Their communication was speedy, positive and first class and I will have no hesitation in using them again very soon.

Whether on ebay or their website, this company always provides a great service, the fabric and haberdashery are always as expected. Prices great on the website. Communication is excellent.
I've purchased many items over the years never disappointed.
