TapScore offers very thorough, independent lab testing of drinking water. I had my city water tested with their Advanced City Water testing service. I had an all-around, outstanding experience. In particular, the customer support team is top-notch. They walked me through my test results, and answered all of my questions.

I liked the reporting interface, which reads well and appears to give a very clear picture of what is in the water tested and what can be done about it.

Cons:
Upsale of 50% ($100) for advanced spring added a single result about microbial activity which read = "too many to count". No other information was given even after I wrote them to ask why the high premium without any kind of treatment suggestions or details.

Accuracy = the fancy report came back with cause of smell focused on Manganese. After adding a high end manganese filter I eventually figured out the actual issue had been an accumulator tank (similar to a problem RV's have). So while the detailed results allowed me to design a filtration system to match the results, they did not end up matching the water system the sample came from. Best guess is swapped results from someone else's sample.

Conclusion = I paid almost $300 to then be allowed to built a filtration system for someone else.

The company received my water on July 14th. It's the 21st, and I still do not have results. This is absurd. I cannot order my water treatment system without the results. It shouldn't take this long.

While my public water is supposed to be tested, i wanted to be sure that I got an independent test. tap score is EASY to use, and the dashboard is great - they are so helpful every step of the way! Water is in everything we eat and drink - so it's important to test in my opinion.

If you need water testing, this company is the place to use! They have the expertise and testing capabilities to measure whatever you need to figure out what's in your water. I truly appreciate their service.

This was the best money I've spent! Robin was extremely helpful in answering all of my questions! I learned way more about how to treat my well water from these tests than I have from dedicated professionals in my area.

If you are worried at all about your tap water tasting funny, then there is no greater investment than your health. For a small fee, it doesn't hurt to just double check your tap water for safety.

We live in a very remote community in the far north where anything can happen during the winter. Sometimes mail delivery vehicles won't start, including planes. Mail piles up creating major backlogs. In the rush to clear everything, small packages can get overlooked.
We had just such conditions right while I was expecting a shipment from SimpleLabs, and my order stalled somewhere across the north. The tracking showed no activity for a long time, and SimpleLabs just stepped up and were preparing to ship me a new order free of charge. I just received the new shipping information from them and my order showed up at the local post office. I was just able to contact them in time before the dropped off the new order.
Communication with this company and their cheerful help has been excellent all the way. I will be recommending them to everyone else who needs this kind of service in this community.

There are many well water test companies/kits out there. And I have used many of these different companies. I switched to Tap Score after reading many positive reviews. I only use Tap Score now. What I like about this company is their customer service. They are way more responsive than anyone else I have used. I have had many questions about my test results for my home well over the years, including what sort of treatment plans I might need (or not need), and they provide live support with honest feedback. If the representative can't answer all of my questions, they connect me with the lead lab scientist who provides even more in depth answers and solutions. And you can tell they spend time on the personalized responses they give to me. These are not just generic, generated responses. This type of customer service is hard to come by. Highly recommend.

I unfortunately Had some trouble with my first FHA Certified Well Test. I had some coliform show up. Everything else was good but I couldn’t present that to my bank. I contacted Tapscore/SimpleLab for help and they sent me instructions on how to shock chlorinate the well aswell as helped me thru the whole process. After a few days I sent in my second test and sure enough everything came back clean. I highly recommend Tapscore. Sure saved me alot of hassle and thanks to Robin I was able to close on my house right on time.

Though you might be put off by the high price relative to other testing services, don't be fooled--Tap Score (formerly SimpleLab) is worth every penny! The tests are thorough & simple; the reports are exceedingly detailed; & the support is impeccable. I've had a months-long correspondence with the folks at Tap Score as our well water has changed & evolved & they've been there to help & guide me at every step of the way as I work with my plumber & a filtration company to properly solve the water quality issues here at home. If that hasn't sold you on Tap Score, I don't know what will!

The absolute best customer service I've experienced in a long time. I hade questions that they answered immediately, and I made an error with my purchase which they rectified right away. I love this company. It's so refreshing in today's world to actually feel like a valued customer!
