I live in Wilmington, NC and have been dealing with contaminated water from the Cape Fear River (thank you Chemours) since we moved here 5 years ago. Recently, our water provider completed an R-O plant installation connected to 5 virgin wells to provide clean drinking water free of contaminates. I ordered 2 kits - 1,4 Dioxane and GenX/Pfas to ensure that the new water source had not been contaminated by the forever chemicals that Chemours had been releasing into the river for who knows how long. The 1st test (1,4 Dioxane) results came back within the provided turn time. However, the 2nd test (Pfas/GenX) took significantly longer than projected when I signed up for the test. I spoke with customer service who were very accommodating and helpful, but rather ineffective in getting the results from the lab which was in Wilmington, NC about 20 mins from my home. I was so annoyed with the excuses and delay after delay that I finally got the owner of the Simply Safe company involved who moved the testing up to an expedited level. I was told the reason for the lengthy delay was the significant backlog countrywide for this forever chemical test. No one could tell me why they don't advise customers of the long delay or why an updated completion date isn't provided. Communication from the lab to customer service to the end user is HORRIBLE! The estimated completion date provided on the website should reflect reality, not a standard calculation. Other than this issue, I am satisfied with the results.

I heard about Tap Score from a NY Times Wirecutter review. I used the test to measure the PFAS levels in my drinking water after running it through my filers. My water provided indicated that we have PFAS in our water and the test confirmed there were no traces after filtration.

I was pleased with the service: good instructions, quick delivery, online results, etc. I would have like to have more things tested but the costs were a bit steep for me. Maybe a bundled approach with a discount off the individual testing price.

All in all a good experience that increase my confidence in my drinking water.

I've literally tested all water sources before I drink them, including Hydroviv, Life Source, RO, Smart Water, etc. I really like their report layout and I've been really satisfied. I've also chatted with their support a few times, and the person I spoke with was helpful.

I have used this service twice now with two years in between testing. The companies testing and reporting is extremely thorough and trustworthy.
Our first test two years ago showed no issues with our private well, which was very good news. However, as anyone knows, your water quality can change over time and our second test two years later showed trace amounts of arsenic! I am grateful for this companies testing capabilities and reputation! I will certainly be using them is the future as well!

It had been several years since we last tested our well. Though it was 650 feet down in essentially solid granite, the ongoing drought gave us reason to think the quality of the water might have changed; at least, we wanted to know if there was any filtration or treatment we needed to be doing. We selected a battery of tests that would evaluate the potentially egregious contaminants. There was a bit of compromising to do given the costs of some of the tests. We were pleased with how easy it was to use the sampling kit and return the samples to the lab. We were also very pleased with the turnaround time for the results. The report was complete and reasonably simple to understand. The laboratory analysis is detailed and even miniscule (and insignificant) values of contaminants are reported. It took a bit of digging to determine the relative danger or consequences of some of the reported values. We realized the lab was not in a position to declare something of no significance, but a bit of comparison to other water sources might have been helpful in determining if we need to implement any changes. All in all, we'll go back to TapScore again when next we need to test our water.

Ordering a test was really easy, and it arrived when Tap Score said it would. The process of completing the testing was simple, especially with the step-by-step kit they provided. And our results were returned on the expected timeline. The dashboard with our water sample results was really user-friendly!

We just had a COMPLETE Water Filtration System with R.O. installed in our home. Consequently, in order to feel secure that our water was now safe to drink and to wash fruits/vegs with we decided to have our R.O. water tested with both an Advanced City Water Test and a PFAS Water Test by Tap Score. These detailed results were EXPERTLY compiled & sent SWIFTLY TO US. We found the Report we received that outlined the results VERY WELL WRITTEN, EXTREMELY THOROUGH and CONCISE! Their DETAILED report showed a few areas of concern which their WONDERFUL and VERY patient agent, Robin, explained to me in great detail. She answered ALL of my questions and even gave me a transcript of our conversation so I could discuss it intelligently with my husband. She was VERY HELPFUL in putting ALL of my fears at ease. I had a small issue when I was packing my test kit. When I went on to the site and connected with Robin, who was kind, courteous, and professional in her guidance, she walked me through my issues. Quality customer service is a difficult element for any business. I was completely satisfied with my experience.

Ordered this product and received it promptly. I no longer needed my water test so I emailed them and they promptly allowed cancellation. No problems and assured me I would receive credit for the product. I paid a small restocking fee and was happy to do so.
Then maybe a week later I received e mail indicating that credit had been made to my card.

The testing results pointed out issues we did not know existed, so definitely worth doing. After I received the results I chatted with a rep from Tap Score and she was very helpful. She took her time explaining areas that were of higher risks and some not to worry about. We went over different filtering systems so I had/have a much better understanding and background when I talk to the water filtration companies. Overall a very positive experience...even though I need a UV system. :)

I've tested my water with other labs and this was a totally different experience. The Tap Score report is easy to understand and provides so much more info than any other lab report I've seen. You can compare your results to health guidelines and regulatory limits and other water quality in your state. I'd recommend this to anyone who is wondering what's in their water.
