I signed up with Mweb for fibre as a new customer on the 24/11/2025 and cancelled on the 7/01/2026 because absolutely nothing was happening with my order.
Every time I contacted them (that's ME having to contact THEM, at no point did anyone email or call me) for an update on my order, I was told it was "being escalated". This was the same response every time I spoke to them (several time's I've waited over an hour for a response), nobody would give me any feedback about what was happening with my order; the only time I did get feedback was when I threatened to cancel the order.
It is now the 15/01/2026, I have yet to be refunded my money, the order is still currently marked as "Provisioning", despite having asked them 3 times now to cancel it.
Based on the comments on their Facebook page, their service with existing customers is just as bad and it's just non-stop complaints.
Do not use Mweb, this is how they will treat you as a new customer.
Mweb signed me up for a specific level of service. They upgraded me without permission and blamed their fibre company for the increase
Never has any problem been sorted ever. 2 years later the router still needs to be rebooted daily. Call centre agents, if you can ever get through to them, seem to be working without supervision with levels of comprehension that boggles the mind. If they do not want to talk to you, they just cut you off. the chat function remains static with a notification that they are extremely busy so please be patient.
New sales is the only call that is answered promptly else for any other selection, you can hold for 7 to 10 minutes and then they cut you off without answering the call
It is impossible to contact them via email. If you are not on a list their advertised email addresses then their server blocks their receipt of the mail.
Finally to cancel your subscription is nigh impossible. Cannot do it by email to have a paper trail. Cannot do it by phone because it just does not get answered. Cannot do it on their App because the App hides the cancellation page and then it refuses to complete the instruction unless you say you are not going to use an ISP anymore. When you finally do succeed and you think the cancellation has been effected, they send you and automatic email that tells you they have received your cancellation request will be in touch shortly on what to do next and then you wait in hope.
That letter I received on 06 January 2026 and today it is 14th January 2026
Everything is verifiable if they do as they say and record all calls.
So people vote with your purse strings upfront and then you will keep your sanity.
My LTE service never worked since receiving my router, and trying to contact customer support is impossible. You will wait for hours and will be disconnected once you get through. The live chat is also a joke. You chat to a bot who responds every ten minutes and then starts from scratch. You are given a canned response that they will call you back, but they never do. Do yourself a favour, don't waste your time with this useless company.
Mweb has a huge issue in terms of transparency. Their agents don't really wanna work and they deliver you with 1ethernet cable is abit ludacris as you need 2cables to connect to fibre
Worst services provider, if you considering signing up this is your sign to stay away. Quick to get you to sign up, but no after service care, you’ll end up waiting on a call for an hour just to get to the department you need. I don’t know how they’re still in business, STAY AWAY !
We pay Mweb close to R800 pm for the fibre however the network is always problematic when it is cold or raining. They have clients on WhatsApp yet fail to update them, during outage situations. My internet disconnected at 09:58 and immediately logged a case since 09:59 and now is 12:21 Im still online with them. Saying they can only help me if I concern or acknowledge a call out fee up to R1750. After paying for the internet. This is madness. I want my refund. I will definitely find alternatives.
Terrible experience, they have no clear way of cancelling your account , ive been on the phone ages and no awnser, have gone onto a live chat - chatted to a stupid robot ...

I terminated with MWEB after 25 years. The level of support is so INCREDIBLY poor as I had an email issue and, after holding for 1 hour and 19 minutes, I ended the call and my MWEB subscription and moved to Afrihost. The best decision that I have ever made, hands down. MWEB is a relic of the past - this is where disappointment and poor service come together perfectly.
My email is off. Technical dept changed my password but I still can't get in. If you phone them you go in a waiting list and after 1 Hour of waiting they still did not answer. The online chat does not work, no one comes to assist you. The service is terrible.
Shocking after sales service from Mweb with no support whatsoever. I have been waiting on the live chat for over 3 hours with no agent assisgned to assist.
MWeb e-mail address out of service. Have just spent more than two hours waiting fruitlessly for the robot to respond to my query. A telephonic inquiry was cut off just after I was eventually put in touch with a real human after waiting for more than an hour for my call to be answered by MWeb. I have been an MWeb customer since 1997. I think this is where I must call it a day.
I'm a new client and placed my order in Dec 2025, still waiting for service. Their app and online system that links to customer support is terrible, I would recommend Mweb tweak their automated AI chat bot to include a session termination, if no agent can respond within 5-10min per support session.
Most pathetic customer service ever, I don't even understand how they choose not to inform new clients or update them on there orders. If I could give zero stars I would! Don't waste your money with pathetic providers that can't deliver call centre Never picks up(you'll wait a whole hour before your call drops, online Assistant is even worse. You'll be lucky if someone responds within 45minutes.
I’m done! Get home from Christmas holiday, fibre is down. Call centre has me on hold for 15 mins in which I move from being caller 36 to caller 30! Hang up and go to the website. When I login, the system doesn’t recognise my cell number and my email address! So it recognises my bank account for monthly deductions and none of my details when I have issues…terrible experience, moving right along.
Buying a product from them gets you quick and effective service. I have no complaint on my fibre package either. It works well. However once the transaction is finalized they make it abundantly clear that they do not value their customers. Try getting a hold of an agent either on their secure chat ( according to them the fastest route ) or via phone call good luck. I have up waiting for an agents response on the chat after about an hour and eventually after an hour and twenty minutes an agent with a very indifferent even slightly rude attitude answers and is as blunt as can be for the duration of the call trying to dismiss your complaint and trying to end the call as soon as possible. Their slogan should be....MWEB great when it works but if an issue arises you are basically on your own
I had an issue with my MWEB internet connection since 27 Dec 2025 and i have been talking go live chats agent but no chamge. I was told someone will come and chexk what ia the problem nothing yet. And it has been 11 days no connection ...what will i be pahing for am so pissed because i have unnecessary cost of getting connected
If you have any chance to avoid MWeb please do so, most useless customer support you will ever find. Never seen such a shi**y service. Disgusting.
Mweb has a deal running which i applieed for. The installation was completed by the relevant service provider but Mweb did not bring router for connection my Fibre. I have been waiting for over a week but the weird thi g they debited my account whilst they have not even completed providing the fibre service. Their contact centre are not even assisting in this regard.
