Horrible network from day one

Horrible network from day one. The service is even worse. Tried cancelling my service and they kept me on hold for hours! Then eventually I blocked the debit order only for them to change the debit order and have it go through. Keep in mind, they stopped my internet too and still let the debit go off. Please save yourself and NEVER use them!

I done a google review , twitter and they blocked me, mweb os just becoming so pathetic woth customer service! How do you get ot right to let customers holdnon a call for 30min then an hour!! Ffs that pathetic then i call back and same story, online chats also pathetic. GET YOUR SERVICE TOGETHER MWEB!! EMPLOY MORE TECH AND SERVICE CONSULTANTS. BE BETTER. YOU OWE ME 2 DAYS WITHOUT INTERNET!

The service I get from this company is so unprofessional

The service I get from this company is just unacceptable as I have been trying to communicate with them about the billing of my account since morning until now no response,I even tried calling unfortunately neither the agents picked up the phone until airtime ran out. What kind of a company is this?

Mweb offers 0 support once they have you.

Mweb is keen getting sales, but cannot offer the after sales support to keep clients happy. I have come to the conclusion that Mweb hired 1 technical person, 1 accounts person and 100s of sales staff, that is the only explanation for them never answering calls. I was on hold for 40min yesterday trying to get an email whitelisted and over an hour today trying to reach billings department to shed light on invoice descriptions as we are not sure what we are paying for.

If I could give 0 stars I would have. They make it impossible to cancel your contract. No support and the chat bot on their site does not help. They wasted all my airtime, I was on the phone for 1.5 hrs to get through to them to cancel the contract. The only way to cancel was to change the debit order details. But then they will start blacklisting you for not paying. Absolutely useless. Avoid them !!!!

Worst ISP available No1 😑 thief in misleading sales

Worst ISP available.
No1. Thief in binding you into a Sales with no way out. Without giving you the original promo pricing.
You have no access to any open ticket to verify your raised concern.
The support ticket. Is not available for you verify it was logged.

I logged a Cancellation request.
They still activated my line .
I signed up for Fibre promotion deal .
I got 2 increases within 3weeks after activation with MWEB blaming VUMATEL for adjustment.

Why ? Because MWEB doesn't want you to report them to ISPA. WITH OUT a ticket reference, you have no claim against.

They are the most dishonest business.
I eventually got out . I Took them to ISPA, WON , MY CASE AGAINST THEM.

REPORT them to your bank to stop debit order.
Report them to ISPA
Report them to local newspapers
Report them to News media
Report them to Consumer @icasa.org.za
Report them for class 1 action nation wide against MWEB
Poor support
They designed the ticketing & supporting online chat system, in a way to frustrate you to hang up your call or online chat. So no tickets against MWEB services is logged against your account, that can be used in ISPA case for assistance . Fight back using audio & video recording .

Open a ticket via complaints @mweb.com.
Then at ISPA.
Be aware mweb has people at ISPA to look the other way. You must persist with ISPA to accept your case in your words and timeline. Don't let them water down your Case Concerns against MWEB.

Record audio and video online chat conversation with MWEB for ISPA case against MWEB.
That's how you 🏆 win to prove poor services and that you raised a ticket but they never did it or attend to it.

Reading everyone's messages in last 7days. Yes you so Fuxed.

Waited on call for over 6hours! No service

If I could give 0 I would. I waited online 6hours and 17min and still have not been helped. Only wanting to reactivate an account. That I also do not have a link on my profile or settings or dashboard. This is the worst customer service I have ever received. I do not care for excuses there is NO excuse to wait over 6 hours! And will mweb pay my phone bill on this 6 hours I have waisted of my life! Do NOT sign with them. Fast to sign and NO customer service afterwards.

Pathetic and horrible service

Terrible service, no customer, technical support whatsoever . You wait forever on the telephone. Mweb is the worst service provider I have ever experienced. I was their customer for about 5yrs. My router broke then I called their customer support line for assistance. I waited on the line for about 5hrs for 2 days in succession but I never got to speak with anyone. The automated machine kept on telling me I was number so and so on the line. For about 5hrs I never got to the finishing line. Their service is most pathetic and horrible. I don’t encourage anyone to join them.

MWEB and Octotel have provided the worst service I have experienced from an internet provider.
My fibre connection has been down for extended periods, sometimes up to 9 hours in a single day, and this has happened approximately five times. Despite logging numerous complaints via the WhatsApp support line, no one has been able to explain the cause of these outages.
There is no communication from MWEB regarding downtime, progress updates, or resolutions. Requests for a manager to call me back were made multiple times — not once did a manager return my call. I also sent several emails and, to date, have received no response.
I work from home and depend on a stable internet connection. I clearly explained this to a manager, whose response was completely unacceptable. I was told that my own manager should call him so he could explain that “MWEB is down.” This shows a total lack of professionalism and accountability.
Outages regularly occur from 8am until after 8pm, with no explanation and no effort to assist. Support agents are rude, unhelpful, and simply ignore customer concerns.
I strongly advise anyone considering fibre services to avoid MWEB. The customer service is poor, outages are frequent, and there is no ownership taken when problems arise.

I waited for more than an hour to get…

I waited for more than an hour to get through to a consultant. I was with him for another hour and still my problem was not resolved. Brett promised to log my call with Vumatel and sms me the ticket number. He never did. I had to phone again and my call was just cut while I was holding.

Mweb’s customer service is an absolute…

Mweb’s customer service is an absolute joke. You wait over two hours just to get assistance, whether you’re calling or trying to chat to an agent. That alone is unacceptable.

What makes it even worse is that I’ve been in contact with them since 21st January. Every single time, I’m told there’s a “48-hour turnaround time”. It is now the 3rd February and I have still received no response, no resolution, and no follow-up. Just empty promises and endless waiting.

This is beyond frustrating , it’s unprofessional and shows a complete lack of respect for customers. If you value your time and sanity, think very carefully before dealing with Mweb.

Dismal Service received from Mweb.

Mweb is the worst service provider when it comes to hosting and domain services. you can never get through to their customer care or technical team.

My emails were being blocked by their server it took Mweb a whole week to figure out what was going on.

Within the week I spoke to at least 7 different people who could not assist. Eventually when they did come back to me it was a night mare . Its almost like you have to trouble shoot your own problems and tell them where to look.

The worst service we have ever received.

one star is still much when you measure the level of Mweb service.

Please don't be put off by their Automated reply's to complaints that are logged. My experience dates January 2026.

Cancellation nightmare

I requested cancellation from MWEB
On 13 January I was promised feedback within 24–48 hours. It is now 3 February and I have still not been assisted.
I’ve spent hours on hold, used all my minutes and airtime, and had calls dropped while trying to cancel. This feels like a deliberately frustrating process to prevent customers from leaving.
A simple cancellation should not be this difficult. I am still waiting for my service to be cancelled and confirmed in writing.

Feels like a scam !

Just got a price increase from them out of nowhere, now I am going to be paying R729 for 50mb download and 25 upload, seriously, their internet is inconsistent and their prices are exorbitant!
to make matters worse, they have an exclusive contract with my area so I cannot switch to other ISP!
I am beyond upset and will consider just cancelling my subscription and using mobile data (will probably come out to be cheaper!)

I would love to give them 0 stars...If only I had the option. Very quick to onboard new customers HOWEVER if you have connection issues or any other problems...don't expect them to answer a phone and their app's live chat is non existant. Be sure to wait 2 hours although you are 1st in the queue. If you eventually get through...your call is cut by some sloppy agent, yawning in your ear as they work from home and could'nt care less.

Mweb keeps taking money from my account without providing a single minute of internet. There is no customer support, I tried all their contact options and received no response whatsoever. Months later and still no internet or response from them. DO NOT use this company
