Purchase of a new battery mower went well (hence 2 stars), but when the battery failed their customer service really let them down .
I was without a battery for 3 weeks for a lawn mower costing nearly £2k and had to call frequently to chase the replacement, otherwise I would have been waiting longer.
After explaining the issue I was asked to return the battery so they could test it. After they had had the battery for 48 hrs i called to see if they had tested it and was told it was faulty and they had requested a replacement. I went on holiday for 8 days content that the replacement would likley be wiating for me on my return. After 10 days no sign of the battery so I rang them and they asked what was wrong with the battery!! No replacement had obviously been requested so after several minurtes of complaining theye agreed to take a battery from one they had in stock and send that.
Only given 2 stars as the initial purchase was fine - beware if you have any issues

Mowers Plus took deposit for Honda lawnmower but failed to deliver, offered different make and/or smaller unsuitable machine and OVER TWO MONTHS ignored enquiries for update. Frankly reached the opinion this firm is a box shifter which takes orders it cannot fulfil and attempts to sell substitute make and type. Suspect trading standards. Buyer beware

This is an unsolicited review.
I ordered mower parts for a 10 year old mower. Do not expect much communication from Congleton! But when I telephoned I was answered immediately and reassured that my purchase was being despatched.
Parts arrived a few days later, genuine Stihl. Fitted well and mower running great. A very good service.

Purchased brand new Polaris xp1000 from firm in September 2024, it had a fault from day one but I was told there’d be air in the system for the brakes and to keep using the machine despite the warning light being on.
Been in contact since with the company every month since purchase and am given one excuse after another. Finally they said they would collect the machine for £650+VAT but as a goodwill gesture they’d do it for £400+VAT. This was suggested 20 January 2025 and I’m yet to hear back on machine collection that’s still under warranty and has had the fault from day one. Extremely poor service to say the least…

The purchase of my machine on Jan 21st was straight forward & all questions were answered promptly - Top marks Andy.

The machine was delivered as scheduled on Jan 28th by Dave who was very helpful with the unloading & his instructive demonstration.

First visit to this company and I was impressed with their professional and friendly service.From the first phone call to the collection of my purchase they made the process very easy.I value a personal service and they were knowledgeable and friendly I would certainly use them again in the future .Give them a try you won’t be disappointed.

Bought a strap on blower (oo-er) and knowledgeable staff helped me choose best one for our garden/drive. ALso put it all together for me (assembled it as it was quite a large box), gave me a quick run down on how to work it and maintain it. All good. Will definitely use again for other garden machinery and service even though they're not the closest to where I live

CGM had the exact machine to suit our requirements and they were happy to take our old tractor mower in part exchange. Only just started to use the machine so it is too early to judge their after sales service

Helpful and friendly service, extremely knowledgeable too. Andrew and his team know their stuff and will be our main supplier of equipment.

Awful service, paid for my order and 3 weeks later its not here. Having paid for 1-2 day delivery I am told its been posted to the wrong customer, rather than sending the item immediately I have had to wait for the item to be sent back to them before coming to me! If you want to actually receive your item, order elsewhere.

I went into the shop looking for a petrol strimmer. Staff were very friendly and explained different models.
I purchased a Stihl strimmer, 2 stroke and spare line.
Very happy with this place, would easily recommend.

I wanted a new strimmer but I was in sure of which to buy.
The sales lady was very knowledgeable and listened to the type of jobs I wanted it for.
She pointed me in the direction of Honda which I purchased and up to yet it does the job perfectly.
A very friendly shop, no hard sell and products to suit all job types.

Excellent service from first entering until leaving. Knowledgeable staff listened to what we wanted and made recommendations. We wanted a particular bit of machinery which the sourced and pricematched for us.
Was then delivered on time with a demonstration of how to use.

Had a minor problem, it was dealt with imediately and mower returned. Cuoldn't ask for more.

Excellent service, can’t fault them in any way.

I brought a John Deere sit on mower from Congleton Garden machinery on 12.05.2023 as I was a loyal customer for years. In the last couple of weeks I found a problem with the mower as the grass cutter was not engaging. Rang Congleton Garden Machinery on 31.05.2024 to be told that they could not help me and that I needed to ring John Deere as they were no longer a supplier. I hoped that my problem could be dealt with effectively. They also advised to speak to a dealership in Nantwich, I am not impressed with the customer service and wanted to advise others.
