Does what it says on the tin!!

I was dubious about using temporary internet but this worked out fine. The router was sufficient to run 2 games consoles at the same time as well as streaming movies etc. the £50 deposit was returned as per expected. What can I say I got what I expected!!! Would recommend

Hit and Miss

Helpful customer service, great ideas but execution is lacking in some areas.

So went with this company as I had purchased a house and was unable to get internet for a short while. The whole time I had it, the internet was very hit and miss. I was told I would get atleast 12 to 67mb/s on 4G as 5G wasn’t available indoors.

Despite being told this the whole time I had it I didn’t record any speeds over about 15 to 20mb/s which especially over the festive period is very frustrating. Towards the end of my term I emailed in informing them about it and was subsequently told there’s nothing that can be done as there’s ongoing work in the area and that I should’ve contacted them sooner. An unless I send the router back and wait for a new one to arrive but with 3 to 4 days left on my term I was told it wasn’t worth it and I should’ve reached out sooner.

I was asked to provide evidence of the speeds I was getting showing I was getting 9mb/s and it was constantly cutting out which had been happening constant and when I asked for some form of compensation but that was subsequently ignored and instead I was asked if I would like to extend it instead I which I assume I would’ve been charged the full price.

I’m only now leaving this review as they did give me the deposit of £50 back for the router. I’m sure other people have had better service than me with this. Although over such an important time of year and no compensation even after showing evidence I returned the Hub feeing relatively disappointed and in future will recommend people to just pay for unlimited data for a short term on their phone instead.

If I was this company, to improve the service I would look at a live monitoring feature of services in the area so you can see if people are getting the speeds or connections they are supposed to get and look for an alternative rather than waiting for them to come to you as I did. And if they are having issues inform then they are sending a new hub with the new connection and request the old one returned or atleast give them the option without them having to contact you first.

I feel like I should’ve given this 2 stars but the customer service responding quickly to my emails really did help make a difference even if the company itself doesn’t like providing any compensation.

As a standard we check the coverage of the location where a device will be used before it is dispatched and delivered to a customer’s address and a network failure can occur at any time after the device has been dispatched for delivery.

In situations where there is a local/regional telecom mast issue affecting the local area where a device is being used, our standard procedure involves investigating the speed issue first to identify the cause and see if it can be resolved remotely before checking if an alternative network is available and is not experiencing technical issues. If an alternative network is available we quickly arrange for a replacement device to be delivered to your address.

I have investigated this and I can see from the customer service inbox that you sent an email to inform the customer service team of the challenges you were experiencing with the speeds in your location 3 days before your hire end date.

As at the 31st of December 2025 when you informed us of the network issues you were experiencing in your location, your hire was about to end in 3 days’ time. We use Royal mail to deliver the devices. Given the next day was 1st of January 2026, which is a UK public holiday, Royal mail was closed on that day. Hence the earliest a replacement device could arrive with you was by the 2nd of January (a day after the public holiday).

Also, due to the festive season there might be delays with Royal mail logistic across the UK in delivering items to a clients address which was why the customer service team had asked if you will be extending your hire so the device is not delivered to your address after your hire has ended.

I've checked Royal mail tracking page and can see you posted the device back to us on the day your hire ended and I can see your deposit has also been refunded into your account.

Very slow internet

Unfortunately, my experience with MovingInternet was poor. The internet speed was not fit for purpose, not fast enough to use for streaming would only work intermittently and kept buffering, and the device was barely used as a result.

Despite returning the device as soon as possible (delayed only by post office closures and bank holidays), the refund process lacked urgency and required chasing.

Overall, the service did not meet expectations, and I would be cautious about recommending it unless there are significant improvements in performance and customer support.

This has been looked into, I can see that you contacted the customer service team regarding the network speed you were receiving in your location.

I can also see from the email communication that you had already sourced for an alternative service before informing us of the network speeds you were receiving hence a replacement device on another network could not be delivered to your address.

In situations where there is a local/regional telecom mast issue affecting the local area where a device is being used, our standard procedure involves investigating the speed issue first to identify the cause and see if it can be resolved remotely before checking if an alternative network is available and is not experiencing technical issues. If an alternative network is available, we quickly arrange for a replacement device to be delivered to your address.


Regarding the return of the device, I've checked Royal mail tracking page for the tracking of the device you posted back 27th December, it shows the device arrived back with us on the 2nd of January.

Refundable deposits are issued 1 to 3 working days after returned devices have been received, given the device was posted back during the Christmas peak period, delivery companies like Royal mail take a bit longer to get items delivered.

We had been let down by Sky when moving house 19 Dec 25 moving…

We had been let down by Sky when moving 19 Dec 25 and faced having no connectivity until after Christmas with new central heating (managed via WiFi) and a 13 yr old and a 6 yr old. A quick search found Moving Internet and strong reviews so quickly booked and turned up equally as quickly. The connectivity was strong throughout the house; my wife was able to work from home and, simultaneously, all manner of epqt was hooked up and good to go (even the new central heating app!). Excellent value for money and a brilliant service.

Not worth the expense.

Unfortunately, the equipment simply didn’t perform as the company claim. The signal was very poor and only a single device could be connected.

Unfortunately, we were not made aware of this during your hire period, so we were unable to investigate the issue during your hiring period.

Fantastic service

Fantastic service! When your own internet goes down and the service provider can not repair it for 10 days where do you turn to. Moving Internet! They were brilliant from start to finish, everything their steps say will happen does. I cannot fault a thing. Highly recommend them.

Highly recommend

Superfast delivery, next day, as expected. Very easy to set up, just plug in, instructions enclosed - wish i had known about this service sooner as would have saved me toggling with mobile and having to buy extra data - so tell your friends and family about this company if they are planning on moving house.

Great service

Can’t recommend enough. Helped out during the move process when sky messed up and left me without wifi for a week. Quick and easy process, I did the initial few days and then extended really easily and deposit was returned quickly. WiFi connection didn’t fail, even with living in an area with no signal.

Beware!!!

Don’t expect to see all your deposit returned. They obscure in the small print that you have to post it back on the day of the end of the rental period no later than 1pm. So half a days rent period for a full day charge - regardless of T&Cs that’s unethical . If you post it after 1pm they penalise you. Be careful if you end your rent period on a Sunday. In any event they take money from you fraudulently as they count Sunday as a ‘late’ day when you cannot post it on a Sunday as you need an open Post office. Again…. At best this is unethical.

The old ‘oh you signed the T&Cs ‘ is the refuge of the dodgy trader. Who would reasonably expect such a stunt? Just because you bury unreasonable terms in a contract does not absolve you of your responsibility to be an ethical business.

Information that the device needs to be posted back on your end of hire date is highlighted on the delivery and return information page, FAQ page, in the hire confirmation email you receive after placing your order (under the "Important note:" section of the email) and also printed in red coloured text on the guide/A4 paper included in the hire package.

I have looked into your hire, and I can see Royal mail tracking details for the return label you used in sending the device back at the end of your hire period shows you dropped off the device at your local post office 3 days after your end of hire date (Your hire ended on a Saturday, but you dropped it off at the post office on Tuesday afternoon the following week).

I didn’t know that temporary internet…

I didn’t know that temporary internet was an option until I moved house and was without it for a few weeks. Eventually, I thought I’d try this and it went great! So easy to set up, just plug in and go, and I didn’t have a single problem while using the service. At the end of my use I was sent the deposit back within days of them confirming they received the router back. If you can’t live without internet for a week or two, this is a great option, I’d have no problem using them again if it’s needed.
