Bought 3 autos. 1 was fine but 2 were involved in front end collisions and the damage was covered up. The 2005 Silverado had a clean Carfax but is severely damaged and put back with incorrect parts. The 2003 Corvette was also in a front end crash at some point. Also the tires were 11 years old and actually falling apart in chunks. Very dangerous to drive. Obviously they don’t go over their autos very thoroughly. Do not buy from them unless you inspect these vehicles in person. They offered to have me re auction them but in good conscience, I could not do that to someone else. At a minimum they should at least make sure that they are safe to drive, but they do not! This is not an opinion, it is a fact. They advertised the truck had a clean Carfax, it did not. A Chevrolet[Dave Kirk Chevrolet] body shop estimates 10,000 to repair correctly. The people who brought it to Mecum to auction did not disclose this info. I would like the name of the person or business who brought it to Mecum, please. Dear Mecum, its the people who bring them to you who are deceitful, not Mecum.

I have been dealing with Mecum for the past 5 years they have been awesome to deal with. I have had a few problems, and they handled them to my satisfaction. I have spent over 2 million dollars and got some unlivable cars.

Consigning with Mecum for the first time was an amazing experience thanks to Laura Clark! She was very helpful, kind, and patient throughout the entire process, being open to answering questions and sharing information when I needed some extra clarification. You guys have a rockstar on your team, thank you Laura!

My car was auctioned as a Star car on a Saturday in Dallas. So, I paid extra. I was told that it should to across about 2 pm, but they ran so slow that it didn't cross until 6:20 pm, so many, many bidders had already left. Also, TV stopped at 6 pm. I sold my car, but it was probably $20K below what it should have brought, but i was ready to let it go.
Also, when you buy a car at auction, you can't drive it. You can start it, but it really needs to be driven. So many rattles and squeaks can't be heard with a car idling. I won't do it again.

Mecum was a horrible experience!!!! I would never recommend them or go thru a process like that again…. Paid to be in a prime Saturday sell slot but instead got pushed back to late evening and no bidders left. When asked if we were strong on our reserve price (which they obviously didn’t like) they rushed us on and off the stage in the blink of a eye and told “sorry it didn’t go how you wanted”. We had one very low insult bid and shown the door. I have since talked to a friend who had the exact same thing happen to him earlier this year at one of their other auctions…. If you’re not in their pocket forget it…. They will screw you sideways…wasted our time and money for 5 days…

They sold me a car w no title and have lied over and over about it.
Bought the car July 27, 2023. It’s sept 15 and still have no title.

The cute little blonde Mecum staff girl at the door had a smile on her face all 4 days every time I walked by her. Great energy, cars, and times at Mecums

Everything about this auction is top notch. The customer service, the experience and the auction itself was great.

My car sold at bid goes on. All documentation in the trunk. Transport driver picks up my car they have the title and now the car. I have no check they promise payment within 10 days.
Day 9 they call me the buyer or the transport driver lost the documentation. Still no check. When deal completed I was promised check would be sent overnight. Now day 10 no car no title no check. Everything all Mecum employees told me was false. All broken promises. The most stressful experience with a business ever!

For the past 45 years I have operated my own consulting business specializing in helping CEO’s build their businesses profitably. Many companies I have helped over the years are today’s staples of their industries (TJMaxx, Marshall’s, Michael’s, Chico’s and many more.

I’ve always been a “car guy” and living in Florida allows me to go to two Mecum events each year in Kissimmee.

I always look for excellence in organization and delivery and I have to say that I love the systems that Mecum has put together as they have grown very rapidly during the past several years.

Back when we started TJMaxx, we were building and opening one store a week on the average ….. that took a lot of coordination, processes and especially hiring the right people to make it work as well as it turned out. The folks at Mecum have developed much of the same characteristics - Primarily, a Team of excellent people from the top down.

At the Mecum event in Kissimmee earlier this month, I noticed a very cordial black Mecum employee as the cars entered the auction arena from the staging area - On Friday, I commented to him that he had a great smile - The next day, the same thing - I told my buddy (so that the Mecum employee could hear) that this man is the friendliest employee Mecum has - His smile broadened even greater.

Congratulations to a Team who obviously is trying very hard to satisfy every customer - Well done

The staff was so nice and helpful. The event was well managed. I would totally recommend this to all of my friends.

If I could leave this so called car auctioneers a -0 I would. They will jerk you around. They will PRETEND to sell your vehicle, not verify the buyers info then wait two days & call you to come get your vehicle, “we can’t get the buyer to bring the money”. But conveniently won’t give you the buyers info so that you can file suit against the buyer, per their own contract. If I was a guessing person, they likely were the buyer and changed their minds. If not, they would give the name. Do not do business with this company. It will cost you thousands$$$ and then they want to say you can’t sell anymore at their auctions. Lol all because they don’t do their job you paid them for. Save your $ and go to any other car auction but this one. Cost us $24,500. Seller beware. Mecum is a scam.

Was a little disappointed to come to Mecum Tulsa and not see Farin’s friendly and beautiful smiling face to greet me in! Please bring her back!! we need more smiles and positivity radiated in this world and she does just that and more!

I take responsibility for not digging deeper and reading ALL the caveats concerning additional fees. Ensure you’re very educated! Read all the disclaimers! The fees are substantial and hidden to the buyer. You are better off finding road art at antique dealers.
I will not buy from them again.

Do not do any business with these CROOKS be aware. Your better off going to Barrett Jackson.

We really enjoyed the gold bidder perks. It would be nice to see other diet soda options. Kelsey, whose job was to help standard bidders find their seats did an absolutely fabulous job. She really deserves an award because people were getting rude with her and she was so pleasant throughout the auction. The staff at the fairgrounds were great people as well.

The Mecum experience was great. We purchased a car and the moment we arrived at Indy to pick it up, the entire staff was very helpful to make sure I was where I needed to be to pick my car up. The office staff was friendly, the cart drivers informative, it was a great time.

Greeter Rebecca at the front entrance made our day! She was extremely nice, pleasant, and welcoming. Please recognize her as an outstanding employee and made a OUTSTANDING 1st impression of the Mecum Car Auction!

Our first experience here. Felt a little overwhelmed walking in but the 2 ladies who greeted us helped us with directions and information on what all was available to do and where to go! Our entire family loved coming to see all the fancy car & arts. If you’ve never been to a Mecum Auction you definitely have to check it out sometime! It is quite the amped up experience!

The staff has been so welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. Great first experience and atmosphere at Mecum! We will definitely be back for the one in the fall.
