This company talked to me about …Alarm systems

This company talked to me about my security to try to help me pick the right system even though they wouldn't be monitoring it for me. This was really great customer service

At no fault to the Sales guy I dealt with … - Updated

Original Review - At no fault to the Sales guy I dealt with, I tried to sign up as a new customer with you all and use my existing equipment just replace the panel. On your site I saw the IQ2 panel and that's the panel I want, not the iq1 screen, but it's only available in the package deal which I don't need all the door sensors and everything else. I want a panel and a smoke detector to setup a new service with you all and move from my old alarm company. I canceled my order due to the fact that it was almost double the price if I want the q2 panel because of the "Bundle" it comes in instead of the q1 panel.

New Review - Due to an AWESOME sales guy he got me squared away. They called me back and I was able to get the panel I wanted for the Right price with a little work on their behalf. Joseph Barker is a good sales guy to deal with. Thanks again.

Frustrated with Product

We have had issues from day one. The first door lock was defective and had to be replaced. Just recently we had an issue where we bought a new router for our internet and our camera couldn't recognize it. After multiple phone calls, it was determined we would have to use an Ethernet cord to connect. We did not have this cord. It was like jumping thru hoops to have someone find a cord for us (seriously, I'm sure we aren't the only people to need this special Ethernet cord at a $20 price) They want you to buy their service but then don't want to service you when you need assistance.

As an edit. I have checked the box the camera came in and all the other boxes with he additional equipment. The cord adapter was not there. Regardless of whether it was left out or I misplaced it, I simply wanted a replacement which took an act of congress and almost a week to get a response.

We bought our first home about 4 months …

We bought our first home about 4 months ago. The neighborhood seemed safe and quiet but I am the type of person who does not want to take any chances when it comes to the safety of my family. I have looked around the Internet and different review sites about different Alarm/Security Systems and have even tried contacting local Alarm companies in San Diego County. I don't just let my decision making be persuaded by just one negative review, I try to read in on the issue that a customer had with the company and how did the company try to resolve, also how long did it take. Because if the company is really confident with their product and service, minor or major problems should be resolved immediately.

I found Link Interactive when I was reading through the Consumer Affairs website and have read a lot of reviews about them but also at the same time have noticed that they respond quickly to any issues a customer may have with their System or their Service. When I first spoke to the representative, she was very knowledgeable, friendly, and I never felt pressured to get a System that I do not fit my needs or something that I could not afford. I felt safe. That is why I chose Link Interactive. The whole System was easy to install and setup. I did an alarm Test of all the functions of the System and everything was good to go. I am now able to sleep soundly at night. Thank you Link Interactive.

Easy and Affordable

We live in Florida, and one of our snow birds friends was telling us how much they enjoyed using Link because they could control their thermostat and check on things from across the country. Because we were referred, we got a free month (as did our friend) so why not try it?
The only catch with link is you have to install everything yourself, but if you know how to use a screw driver you should be FINE. I am the type of person who hates to pay people for things I can easily do myself, so this was actually a bonus for me.
Everything arrived quickly, was easy to install, and whenever I did run into something I had an issue with (or didn't understand), a quick call to link solved it. Their hold times are quite short, and everyone I have spoken to since we joined has been pleasant and helpful - so much so that we are now using link for our commercial property as well.

Do your research!

In advance of spending $$$, I worked with their teams to make sure what of the current security hardware I had would work with the new system. That would also let me know what I needed to purchase. Once I received the system parts, I found that what they said would work, did not. The system was supposed to be easy to install and was not. It has been two years and it still does not work correctly and not only did I have to purchase the equipment, I have had to pay monthly fees. I am very unhappy and will cancel as soon as possible. There are parts that are not installed yet, I even asked if there was a local person we could pay to install the equipment and they could not help at all. A total waste of momey. Do your research, make sure before you spend. I spent over $1K, NOT HAPPY AT ALL

outstanding customer service

I don't usually write reviews, but Link Interactive has about the best customer service I've experienced.

We have been doing business with them for about three years and every single interaction is with a very knowledgeable and courteous person. You don't get transferred around; whoever answers the phone can probably answer whatever type of question I have. They have been extremely patient with us when we were installing our system, have helped us troubleshoot on a couple of occasions, and responded to the ad hoc questions we come up with.

They have recently expanded their support hours which has been a huge convenience for me. We have had these systems in two houses now.

Great Customer Care Service

Trae Chappell- Is an excellent Customer Care Specialist. Very patient and kind to new customers; He explained every aspect of the system, how it works, how to set the notifications and he discussed each tab to ensure I totally understood how each item correlated with the notification rules.

I recommend Mr. Chappell as the "employee of the month" and he should be given a bonus for excellent customer service.

fail products

I have had several problems with panels from 2gig. I have had my z-wave devices disappear, my GoBrigde fail, my z-wave devices disappear again, my z-wave devices simultaneously all fail, my panel freeze, my TS-1 panel cannot connect because of Firmwire, and many problems with costumer service where they should have known better.

After my first z-wave crash, i had to re-add every device and set back up my automations. That was a huge hassle.

After my latest z-wave crash it was determined the panel was faulty. I said I am wanting to upgrade because I have been dealing with so many issues with this panel over the last three years. I asked if I could pay the difference and have you send me a IQ-2 panel. I was told I could only restart my contract and pay the new contract fee. It seemed simple enough to send me a new panel with an upgrade fee, but I was told it was not an option.

Instead I was sent the same old panel that is not compatible with my TS-1 secondary panel because of firmware. I took hours setting everything back up, but then the new panel froze and I can no longer use any z-wave devices. I have no idea how long my z-wave will be off line this time.

I bough this system because it was advertised as home automation. I have spent far more effort on this system than the system has alleviated.

I have not been overly demanding. I am actually a very pleasant person normal, but I am so sick of this product it keeps me up at night. I do not trust the home security system. That is a scary thing. I am a police officer and I need to rely on your product to keep my family aware of danger when I cannot be home.

I feel like I have not asked too much. I want a product that works and the 2gig panel has not done that for me. I always pay my bills and I ask very little. I have been with you three years in October. I feel like I have given the benifit of the doubt to a continually faulty product. I asked for a new product and I was told I either pay full price for the new panel, sensor translator, and secondary panel; or get something that is not going to work.

I am just so disappointed with your company.

Extrememely Poor Service

My view of your service is certainly poor. The amount of issues have been far more than I would have expected since I left ADT. I plan to post reviews on the sites that I used to choose your service so that others do not have to go through the same pain which I have. It is obvious to me that your reps are not highly trained and they only care about saving your company money and certainly not a care in the world about your customer's time. If it would not take me so much time and money to move to another security company I would have cancelled you already.
