I am pleased to have found a optician with a personal touch
I have been looking for an optician for about three years now and I am so pleased that I have found Leightons Opticians.
Many opticians I had tried felt so sterile and lifeless like they were 'going through the motions'
I was seen by Claire Langley who was polite, kind and professional and explained to me in a clear way why certain contact lens may be more helpful than others.
The reception team were also very helpful and professional and I appreciated the personal touch the team provided.
The opticians also have a wide range of stylish glasses which was exciting to see.

Have been visiting for over 13 years. Always very thorough and helpful. I've had the same opticians from the beginning but unfortunately they have left and the new one is just as good.
They are always helpful and accommodating. Definitely recommend.

The staff are amazing and very accommodating. Everything was very well explained. I just needed a prescription for the moment as I didn't have a lot of time and didn't feel pressured into frames as I have been at every other opticians I've been to. Because of this, I'll be back to pick up some new glasses!

Very helpful and supportive staff. The optician explained very clearly the results of my eye test and another assistant talked me through my options for more affordable frames. Although I didn’t order new glasses at this time, I will definitely do so within the next couple of months. Very happy with my visit.

Highly recommend
After years of Specsavers and glasses that never seemed to help me see better, I thought I'd bite the bullet and go to Leightons in Putney. I knew it wasn't going to be buy one get one free but sometimes your health is more important than a new pair of shoes or dress. I had Dave as my ophthalmologist and he was superb. Incredibly thorough and explained what he was doing every step of the way. I liked that. He was incredibly polite too. I had some concerns regarding my eyes and he took them one step at a time. We came up with a plan, including eye exercises and eye drops and then put plan A in motion. I also saw the lovely Alison who took me through my prescription and various frames. I'm very fussy regarding glasses frames, so Alison had her work cut out, but she was polite and incredibly helpful coming up with some good solutions and way forwards. Yes the price caused a huge intake of air (they're not the pay £69 and you get two pairs of glasses kinda place). But having gone to opticians since the age of 11, having had laser eye surgery and seen various opticians over the many, many years, I felt incredibly comfortable and in a very safe pair of hands. Highly recommend them. Now to save up for that new dress!

Superb customer service and expertise
My young son and I have visited Leighton's in Putney many times for our eye checkups and glasses. The team are unfailingly friendly and it's a well-run and very calming environment. I saw Justin to discuss my latest test and, beyond his excellent advice, he always recalls details from our previous visits. It's a bit like having that rare healthcare professional today, a family doctor! Highly recommended.

Brilliant service
My wife, daughter and I all use Leightons in Putney. Top drawer service, especially from Justin - he was especially brilliant with my daughter and her contact lenses, and sorted me with sports glasses and casual sunglasses. He even saved me a packet by advising on my still just valid warranty on my varifocals. Top level, very professional local opticians!
