I have a bank account with them, and I have experienced the customer service team twice now. My experience is no different to many others on here. They are rude, passive aggressive, they try to lie and intimidate, all sad lonely bullying loser traits, but then working on a Friday night, anyone who thinks they are special must be clearly bored with their lives and job. That isn’t the customers fault.

Harry has just written advising that Kroo have a couple of weeks to investigate what I’ve complained about.

Just had the response from Kroo. They have said it’s acceptable for their staff to mislead customers by manipulating their own wording. You can see why they need to crowdfund as they haven’t made any profit as yet.
Very useful for internet shopping though

Where is the 0- (zero) star!!! Total SCAM !!! Dont use this banking. Had £500 in it as my ONE and ONLY savings and they CLOSED my account. No customer service.. no help from any contact infos. My money just GONE and nobody from their so-called customer support can speak to at all.

This reply from kroo just proved that you dont looked into your customer service at all. You reply today in this review today 12/1/26. You have closed my account for no reason at 6/1/2026. I have phoned, email and messages on the app on 8/1/2026. And today 12/1/2026 you saying.. I have'nt provided anything you require on which I DID. What an absolute joke!

They locked my account 7 days ago, so I can't do anything. Direct debits failing, all my money inaccessible. No reason given, no updates given.
This was done because I made a transfer to Kraken cryptocurrency account. This is most certainly not illegal. I've now found out it's against their terms and conditions, but this does not excuse them from treating me fairly and communicating.
I've spent the last few days moving standing orders, changing all my DDs - but my money is still locked away. I've opened a new account with Chase - so far so good.
As of 8 Jan, despite the reply from Kroo below, they have NOT been in contact. I have not had any updates. Evening of the 8th they ask me a question about my source of funds, which are from a UK company, as notified to them, and has always been the case. Still no word on why this requires a lock down.
9th July… they’ve closed my account. No reason given, Unbelievable. They say my funds will be returned, but they have not been so far.
UK banks can close accounts, but they must not:
- Leave customers without access to funds for an unreasonable time
- Fail to communicate clearly and proportionately
- Cause avoidable financial harm without due process
KROO failed on all three points, and I am escalating this to the Ombudsman and the FCA

Kroo has been a very good bank for the two plus years I have been with them, but, unfortunately like most banks, they break their own promises. They advertised interest rates that track the bank of England interest rate by minus - 0.25%. I was happy with this figure as I knew what I was getting and thought it's a very fair deal, but then suddenly they moved the goal posts and tracked at below - 0.75%. This has forced me to now put my savings elsewhere where a higher than bank of England interest rate is achievable.
