Took our money very promptly but never delivered. As others have said only contact possible is by a form from their website. Seems to be fine unless anything goes wrong at which point the service is non-existent. My advice is don’t use them

This is the second time I have purchased home heating oil from The Heating Oil Club and yet again they were way ahead of the competition on price. Their web site is easy to manage and the delivery arrived way ahead of the predicted date. So far no problems and I will certainly use the Heating Oil Club for future purchases.

For reasons unknown our delivery was lower than what we paid for. No communication, no refund. You can't email them only use their online form. I've submitted a few messages over the weeks and heard absolutely nothing from the little thiefs.

We usually order through them as they seem to be cheaper, but always have to allow at least 2+ weeks for delivery (74421). This time, we ordered on 4th October and it is now 28th October, but still no delivery. HOC say it is due to war in Middle East. But both dates we were given have come and gone, and website still shows last Monday's date for delivery. If you are running short, I wouldn't advise ordering from them. We will be all right for another weeks, then will turn the heating off. Not great for 2 OAPs!

Ordered oil on the 7th August, finally received text from Certas 16th Aug saying delivery was planned for 19th Aug. This was then delayed to the 21st, then the 27th and then the 28th August. It is now the 29th and no oil has been delivered and I cannot get hold of anyone at the HOC and on hold AGAIN with Certas.
An absolute s**t-show of a company.

Good prices but abysmal customer service. I’d rather pay a little more and go somewhere else.

Oil ordered on 06/08/24.
Expected delivery date 15/08/24.
No delivery as yet.
Sent 2 emails, no response, poor service.
Money was taken same day, has this company gone bust???

Seems like i am not the only one frustrated with the lack of communication from THOC,
i placed an order and paid, on the 28/7.
On the 1/8 i receive an email advising me that Certas had attempted to delivery the oil but as there were logs near the tank it was deemed unsafe so had not delivered.
I immediately rushed home from work to find the place as I had left it with the stack of logs at the other end of my property, no where near the tank?
i took photographs and tried to email back which bounced so sent another email without the photos this also bounced, so i filled in a form on their site and queried it, asking if the driver had been mistaken and could i be advised if no delivery was available soon as i had guests about to visit and may need the oil.
No contact was received at all from the THOC yet checking my account a week later the order was marked as cancelled, thankfully the oil was not needed so i initiated a charge back through my credit card and called another supplier.
Guys you really need to improve your comms. and customer service.

No delivery as of 14th August
No response via email or phone from Certas

No response from Heating Oil Club (over 24 hours and counting, 2 messages so far)

If Heating Oil Club are going to use Certas as a provider than they need to provide a service when things go badly wrong.

Pros - cheaper prices! 👍
Cons - late deliveries, No or poor customer communication and service, even though their website says they will keep you update, they never do!
Take payment immediately.
Generally poor service.

Back in December I left a negative review based on my experience then. I thought I’d give HOC another chance and I have to say this time they have been brilliant. Good price but most importantly a delivery way ahead of schedule. Well done and thank you.

Wish I could leave no stars. Oil ordered 10 days ago and zero communication since. Can't get hold of them, no phone number and don't answer emails or messages.

Anyone who says this lot are good are actually not telling the truth and are probably employees!

I Ordered 600 litres of oil and it was quickly delivered by Certas. But on checking I was 95 litres short with no reason given, with room for a further 200 litres. I messaged the Heating oil club ( they dont have a contact phone number) who said the driver at Certas probably ran out of oil (surely they know how much oil they are carrying as its metered!!!??).
I then rang Certas who said my tank was probably full (it wasn't) and stated it was extremely unlikely that the driver ran out of oil, so promised to find out the reason from the driver and call me back. Nobody called back, so rang again the following day and once again they failed to bother calling me back. I then rang a third time, 3 days later and still none the wiser apart from a possible refund in the next 3-5 days. On previously asking about the refund for the missing oil, both parties stated the other was responsible for the repayment of approx £65.
Apparently its Certas who is responsible but as yet a refund hasn't been processed. The printed ticket shows 505 litres of oil delivered but the website states 600 litres were delivered ( which apparently is a glitch).
This doesn't give me much confidence regarding their customer services and cooperation. I will update this when I eventually get a refund.
Update: Mark at the heating oil club was really helpful at sorting this out for me and quick to respond to my queries, If only Certas were as reliable!

Delivery now 1 week late not able to get an update on when delivery will arrive. Not able to speak to anybody very frustrating

Have used them in the past until now. Ordered oil waited the week but no show on the date promised. Email customer services, which they blamed on their supplier ( turns out the supplier was not given correct delivery details) when I complained about the lack of communication between them and there suppliers they threatened me with canceling the order ( according to the website under contact page they welcome feedback) 3:30pm four day after delivery was due they carry out their threat and cancelled the order The supplier was in contact with me at this same time trying to make delivery.
Well done heating oil club I have no heating with minus temperatures predicted over the next few days & I forgot to mention I currently have pneumonia due to being treated for CANCER due to weeks of radiotherapy.

I have used this company a number of time now and constantly find they to be the cheapest. Infact if you go to the Oil company direct they are not able to match this Website. Bizarre
