In fact delivered 24th Feb with the tank almost dry.

Very disappointing and stressful particularly as The Heating Oil Club was made aware but didn't respond.

( previous orders have been processed promptly - is something going wrong in recent months judging from some reviews ? ).

I ordered oil on 25 Jan with a delivery date before 6 Feb. I’ve had no confirmation from Certas that it will arrive tomorrow- the last possible date for delivery. I have messaged the Heating Oil Club three times with no response and as there is no phone number provided there is no other way of reaching them. I’ve also tried to contact Certas three times with no answer. I’m likely to run out of oil and have no way of speaking to a human about this. Do not trust either of these companies with your oil order.

I've order from heating oil club a number of times and no issues and prompt delivery usually maximum of 4 days. This time I needed oil urgently and emailed The heating oil club with my concern as estimated delivery time was 2 weeks. I had a reply telling me the Norwich depot was running well at the moment and that the estimated delivery time should come down. Its been a week now since I placed my order and I've emailed The heating oil club 4 times over the last few days and not had a single reply. I've phoned Certas myself and they are now saying the order was only place today and it'll be 5-10 days. I hope that is wrong. I'll never use or recommend this company again.

I love The Heating Oil Company - their customer service is superb and most recently they helped us to sort out a Certas related problem. Thanks for all your hard work and support. Remember to order before you need it and avoid Christmas, New Year and Easter periods. Thanks to all concerned. Ben

I ordered oil form this so called club and the the order was put through to Certas who were unable to deliver. The Heating oilk club then marked my delivery as completed. So no oil and no money back. there is no phone customer service so one is unable to find out what is going on. I am caught between two different organisations. Don NOT use this service.

Ordered oil on Friday morning, arrived on Monday, without paying over the odds for a premium delivery, thank you THOC and Certas!

Delivery was much faster than expected after reading reviews - arrived within a week. Excellent price (approx £100 cheaper than with my other supplier).

I've been hanging on to top up with 1500 litres as prices slowly drifted down. But Israel / Iran shoved the price of crude up dramatically yesterday so I got my usual 3 quotes this morning.
I was expecting - with 5% VAT - to pay around £800. So the first quote at £944 from Homefuels Direct (Certas owned) was a bit of a shock. Unusually the quote from Boiler Juice was not too bad at £822 (although £1700+ for an emergency delivery was a bit ludicrous?)
THOC at £803 matched my expectation and order accordingly placed.
I know that THOC take up to 2 weeks for delivery so are not the place to go if your tank is nearly empty. And they state that quite clearly, on their website, by suggesting you should order at the 25% full mark. Some of the contributors to low scores on here should perhaps read the FAQs more carefully?
On REVIEWS THOC attract 96% positive from well over 2.5k reviews ......... which more aligns with my experience over the last 10 years

Wish I had read reviews first, One star for now as only just ordered but based on poor customer service! I have used the contact form twice to ask if my order can be delivered sooner, as I ran out sooner than expected (don’t believe the FAQ’s), no response to either contact form after 2 days, no number to call and too late to get an emergency delivery with anyone else as delivery due in 5 days, plus I can only order 400 litres max with this pending delivery, will probably need to revert back to other suppliers who are contactable.

Been a regular customer for 5 years with no issues but this time was different.
My delivery arrived on time but Certus drove off without dropping my oil. I contacted THOC for an explanation and have still not had an explanation by end of day 2. I phoned Certus and they explained (eventually) that my tank had a crack and my order is cancelled. Still nothing advised by THOC, who claim to be very good at communication on their website. I feel that an explanation early on would've saved alot of worry on my part.

never again ! waited 2 weeks, reminded them the day before and still no delivery.

Some people complain about slow delivery ! But not me ordered Tues am delivered following day at 10 30 am surely one cannot get a better service than that !!!! And a very good price .

I have had historical issues with THOC in the past and refused to go back…..however, their price once again was soooo competitive and due to personal circumstances I had to go with the price. I ordered on the Monday and delivered by the Friday. Hopefully, this means they’ve upped their game and trying to put those wrongs to right.

Awful experience yet again and thought the historical concerns I had with them was just a blip but simply not. My advise to anyone wishing to use THOC, unless you want to wait weeks for your delivery, it’s worth Paying the extra few pence and purchase local through a reputable distributor and cut the hassle out of chasing your order. I will not be using THOC again that’s for sure.

Ordered as normal, they took my money and simply haven't delivered for over 2 weeks,we have now run out and they have said "we will try for tomorrow" absolutely hopeless service and failing to meet their promises and honour the contract. Avoid and go somewhere else, this now feels like a scamming site do not trust them

To be clear I echo other users that HOC is the most competitive price period. However, their delivery lead times became a joke. They take your money upfront, show longish but still reasonable lead time, say, two weeks. And then nothing happens. Worse, I get txt from supplies to sit tight at home on delivery date and they don't delivery. My previous order in November was finally actioned in mid December after many phone calls to vendor. My January order? Still not delivered but schedule date passed (yesterday Feb 14). If you have a big tank and a big budget ordering from HOC in September should last you through winter. Otherwise, buy somewhere else.

We often order from heating oil club. they are cheapest, deliver fast and respond quickly. they auto refund any litres not delivered.

We have used this company happily for years but recently I haven’t been able to access my account and the previous direct email addresses ( 4 of them!!) I have used in the past successfully when a problem arises, bounce back. Such a shame that the present issue of communication problems with an honest company offering competitive prices has prompted me to give such a poor review. Unless this is resolved my wife ( Clare) and I will unfortunately have to find another way of ordering oil.

Have always used THOC as it's easy and normally cheapest. Normally takes 10 days to arrive. Busy times I allow 2-3 weeks for delivery (we ran out at Xmas once eek) and I'm used to ordering when we got to 25%. Always helpful and polite on the phone, if a little difficult to get to someone occasionally.

Blown away this time: ordered and delivered within 2 hours! They admit that is a fluke of timing and availability but I was still impressed!
