Wonderful can’t do enough for you very understanding and alway show you the best for your budget. Not pushing you into carpet and underlay you can,t afford and there fitters are very clean and understanding 10out of 10 for me

I visited Gem Carpets (Heath Hayes) and had a disappointing experience. On arrival, I politely asked if my dog was allowed inside. The gentleman looked at me with visible disdain, shook his head, and simply said “no” on a number of occasions — with no explanation or apology.

I completely understand if a shop has a no-dog policy, but the way it was communicated felt dismissive and unwelcoming. A polite response with a brief explanation would have been enough for me to say “no problem” and return another time.

Unfortunately, due to the attitude I was met with, they have lost my business — and I won’t be recommending them going forward.

Really happy with the service we receive every time from gem carpets. Craig and the team were very helpful from start to finish. Absolutely love our loft carpet, it looks and feels amazing.

Please avoid, what a nightmare. Having bought LVT flooring in my kitchen an hall, August 2021, and given a 25year guarantee if flooring was levelled by them, the floor looked beautiful when it was done, but last year I noticed that the floor was lifting, went back to Gem, spoke to Ron(this man is so rude) from the way he answers the phone to his customer service,which he doesn't actually possess. He said at first it was water damage, but no after he sent a surveyor out, who deemed the floor not level, Ron went on to say, that it needed 2 more layers of screed, or a dry back floor, which he said I wouldn't of agreed to( mind reading must be a skill he does possess) I was never told of this. Well today after lots of discussions, he agreed to refund, he had his men, who were lovely come to lift the floor, before money paid, he said as I might not them in,

This whole experience has left me feeling ill, I thought when the floor went down, that we would be set for out lifetime. I would never use this company again, and will deter my family and friends too.

We purchased what we were told was top quality laminate flooring 'Balterio' which came with 20+ year warranty. After 5 years the surface is failing, it has become rough and colour has faded (not in direct sunlight area). Contacted Gem as Consumer Rights Act 2015 clearly states that retailer and not manufacturer is responsible, this was early March 25, they are still arguing that the problem is with the manufacturer not the despite the Law saying otherwise. Referred to manufacturer who says "wear & tear" by looking at photograph! Not happy and awaiting independent inspection which is apparently going to take up to 4 weeks to arrange.
Customer service is shocking and have a blatant disregard for consumer law.
The saga continues........ I would not recommend Gem nor Balterio today having previously been a customer of Gem for over 15 years.

Went to find some carpets for living room/hall and bedroom, found 2 good carpets and Ade at the Tamworth store was great, sorted us out really quick and very pleased with the customer service and prices. Will definitely be back to get more.

Purchased a top quality stair and landing carpet had started to wear in hole in just 8 months when approached the sent a guy out who basically said we are walking down the stairs incorrectly and was heel and toe wear anybody in there right mind would expect a carpet to last years we are a normal family who all are out during the day and obviously have had carpet's prior to this one with years of trouble free use my advice would go to devlin down the road in Lichfield

I purchased some Artificial Grass from the Walsall wood store and Tom whom assisted me was absolutely great very knowledgeable, friendly and took the time to impart information about my purchase.

I don't think I will shop anywhere else for my flooring products in the future.

After visiting various companies I called into Gem and was surprised with the choice and low prices. After talking to Ade, his recommendations were second to none and will definitely will be ordering from here.

The walsall wood branch is the worst company i have dealt with, was given misleading advice from them about a mattress which i bought, when i phoned to complain, their aftercare was none existent and attitude was "tough luck", BUYERS BEWARE before you purchase from them
