Don’t use fone world in Dorchester.
Took an Apple iPhone to have the screen fixed last week payed £300 for a week later it stopped working due to a faulty screen. Took it back to be told we had 100 days warranty and then tried to make us pay another £220 for it to be fixed again.
Avoid at all costs.
DO NOT GO FONE WORLD WESTFIELD
I recently purchased an Apple screen replacement from Fone World for £250. The replacement screen has been a disaster. First, it displayed a persistent blue, inky tint. Then, it became overly sensitive to touch, causing unintentional inputs. Now, it has completely stopped functioning. There is no physical damage, so the issues are likely due to a faulty part or poor installation.
Despite the Consumer Rights Act 2015 ensuring goods should be as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality, Fone World has refused to give me a refund or replace the screen. Instead, they demanded an additional £150. They also lied about the original price, initially claiming it was over £300, then £270, before finally stating they could do it for £250. Extremely disappointed and frustrated with their service and dishonesty.
Phone wouldn't turn on
The guy in Fone World Poole saved me from a very stressful situation! My phone wouldn't turn on one morning & I was travelling to London the following day for a hospital appt with my parent, so desperately needed my phone to work.
He sorted it out in a matter of 10 mins. I couldn't thank him enough for helping me that day. Will definitely make them my first go to point going forward.

Its Mr Barber " Samsung galaxy book"
After commnig to collect the unit today "3rd time" i am now at my witts end and have chosen to write to you rather than phone as i will not be polite.
When i bought the book into you it was working even though charging very slowley and getting hot.
On my first collection it was still working and showinmg a charge but not charging.
I have now gone to plug it in and the unit is DEAD.
Not showing any form of charge and wont even switch on.
So after wasting my time i now have a unit that doesnt work at all "Worse contition then you first received it"
I Expect you to do somthing abvout this.
I WILL be now considering my oiptions regarding Reporting yourselves to trading standards as what was partly working is now NOT working at all.
I Do NOT want any more phone calls i wish all corrospandences via Email.
To Say i am Angry is far from an understatment.

Replacement of I Phone XS MAX camera lens and screen protector
Excellent service from the guys at the Fareham store . Visited in-store as my I phone XS MAX camera lens had cracked and need a swift turnaround as needed the phone within the hour .
The guys were very accommodating and nothing too much trouble for them 25 mins and all done !
Also replaced the screen protector with 20% off .
I would definitely recommend this store if you want swift reliable service especially as an alternative to an Apple Store .
Do not go to the Poole store
Do not go to the Poole store. They have had my iPhone since18 th May. They have never phoned me as promised to give me an update. I’ve had to phone them. Apparently the phone can’t be fixed, fine…they are refusing to return my phone & keep saying they are waiting for a DPD delivery but don’t know if my phone is included in the delivery. Appalling customer service, never phone as promised numerous times. I know have to take legal action against them for the theft of my phone

AWFUL
AWFUL . Do not go there !!! The people there are only there to scale you . Brought my laptop in to fix and after superglueing the screen together the guys asked for £120 . Whatever you do don’t buy any electronics from him as my laptop came half broken . After I asked to return it the guy said that it was too late . Please never go there
Fantastic customer service
Fantastic customer service - the guys were so nice and helpful! I went in with a really cracked screen on my Huawei P20 Pro (I cannot stress the cracks on the phone enough.) When I went to pick it up, it literally looked like new as if nothing ever happened. Absolutely love that.
Bath Store - Excellent!
Bath Store - the staff in the Bath store are amazing. They have repaired my sons phone 3 times now and seem to be able to save it even when I'm sure it's unrepairable. Can't recommend them highly enough.
Hove branch
Hove branch - I went in with a phone that had been ran over. Beyone repair, but the staff here got it going enough to save the data on it and transfer it to a new phone, and are doing what they can to rescue the fitted SD card which was also damaged. Calm, patient and affordable. Thanks guys.
Replace parts they think you wont notice
I brought my girlfriends MacBook Air Pro here to be repaired after it wouldn't turn on one day, I attempted to swap the battery first in case that was the issue, it had a brand new 8000mAh battery installed when I took it in to be repaired, they weren't able to carry out the repair it needed so I started the return process for the battery on Amazon, when I got the MacBook home and opened it however my new battery wasn't there, but a very old 7200mAh one, guy in the shop told me they only took the back panel off tested it and saw that they couldn't repair it and closed it up again, a complete lie because I know the battery had all 5 screws in when I took it for repair, they only returned it with 3, I know for a fact they removed the battery. one screw was also missing from the back panel when they returned it to me, they don't look after your belongings and will try to cheat you.
Avoid for screen repairs, duplicate parts used
Got my Samsung S22 ultra screen repaired from Reading store for £250 and within a month my screen went blank or would not respond at all, looks like they don't use original parts and getting a refund is impossible and may need to complain to consumer forum. There us no complaint procedure if you look at the website and these independent stores have nothing ti do with the company and are independent, avoid them

It was a best and fastest service, the staff is very polite they repaired my phone with in half an hour.
Avoid Winchester store
I bought a refurbished Samsung A 53 5G on 14 Aug 23. (I thought I had bought a new one until I got home and looked at the Sale Agreement.) In early Jan 24 it seized up and couldn't be unlocked. I was told it needed a new screen and would be ready for collection in 4 days. I was then informed that it needed a repair in London and I would be contacted when ready for collection. I wasn't contacted, so called to be told the phone was not repairable. I asked for a replacement or refund, but was told the staff member was on holiday in Pakistan - they were unable to say when he would return. After two more weeks my wife called in and was again given the run around. On 13 Feb I insisted on a refund. The assistant repeatedly spoke to someone on the phone and attempted to delay once again. Eventually, after stating my intention to take them to the small claims court, they haggled over the amount of the refund, hiding behind some small print that, in my view, was hardly relevant. Eventually, in order to draw a line over my dealings with this company, I settled for a smaller amount than that to which I should have been entitled.
I was very disappointed with my dealing with this company and would not recommend them.
