Total scam. Agent convinced me to purchase 3 years, telling me that had the option to file claims online and that if I was unsatisfied for any reason, I would be able to cancel and be refunded at a prorated rate, with NO penalties.

They refused to replace something broken without 3 years of service records (I've only lived in my house for 2, and was never informed of this requirement prior to making a claim). I put in a repair request over 6 weeks ago and their first contractor would not answer my calls and never called me, and the second contractor initially took my calls and then stopped.

I looked into canceling, and was told I would have to pay penalties along with proration, amounting to nearly the entire fee I paid. They will lie and tell you anything to get your money. RUN FAR AWAY.

They are currently being sued in Ohio for shady business practices, and have had actions taken against them in Oklahoma and Minnesota as well. Please look at the BBB website for more info.

I feel like my husband and I have been duped by this company. We paid them over $2k for 6 years of coverage. Which was a current offer they had going supposedly. Since our appliances were older, we thought why not. Terrible decision. I have made 3 claims so far. They sent a tech out, and he changed something on my dishwasher, but that did not fix the issue. I have been without a dishwasher for over 6 months. My claim for my over the stove microwave was initiated in October, they said they would not replace it, but instead will do a cash offer in lieu of replacement, and I sent back the signed letter on October 9th, today is December 10th, and the $179.00 check has yet to arrive. I can not find a replacement for under $225 by the way. I put initiated a claim for for my stove top burners on November 3rd, the tech they recommended put me off for a month, so I requested another tech. Last Wednesday we spoke, as of today, they have not sent him the necessary email for him to start the job. I have called them multiple times, and get the an apology, and they say the check is in the mail, etc etc. you can never speak to upper management. The salesman basically lied. This company has not delivered. The customer service is hit or miss. It is by far the worst company and experience I have had with a company in my 54 years. I am at my wits end.. they and the salesman got his $2300 sale.

Been waiting since November 18 for a company to fix my microwave, on the 3rd call to first premier they finally change me to another company still waiting for a repair. The last time I called I got the rudest male. When I aske to talk with a supervisor he told me he was the supervisor and I then asked to talk with his boss he said I am the boss and there was no one above him, he wouldn't transfer me. Today is Dec 9 and I am still waiting.

I contacted Home Warranty with the company First Premier home warranty that I had a problem with the washing machine, they told me that my fee was $45.00 but they made me pay $100.00 and then they gave it to me back, nothing happened, then they told me that The machine had no composure and they were going to pay me for that and they didn't pay me either because the case was already closed, now they don't want to pay me any more for what I spent, I put another claim 11-30-2024 also they have not sent anyone to check the machine

I've been dealing with First Premier Home Warranty Company since December 2,2024 my furnace went out at first i thought they would be a great company not so,I have been given the run around and excuses, I live in Ohio and it get's powerfully cold. Today is December 6, 2024 I've been waiting all day for someone to call me back, they want to pay me $148.77 for a part that will cost me $771.00 this is not professional service at all. I gave them 1 star if I could have written the review without giving them anything I would. Please don't go with this company.

You deserve to be screwed over if you use this company, don't be an idiot and run away from these people!

The service is terrible and they reimburse their technicians so poorly that it's hard to get anyone to come out. I couldn't get help with anything I needed without threatening to cancel. Don't believe anything reps tell you because the story you hear will change based on whatever is most in their favor at the time.

When I gave up trying to work with them and asked to cancel without backing down, they told me they wouldn't allow me to cancel. They said all I could do was wait a year and then try again to cancel at that time.

It took filing a credit card dispute to get my money back. In the meantime, I filed complaints with my state's regulatory agencies. That brought attention to the fact that First Premier Home Warranty was illegally operating without a license in my state. There were already several states around the country suing them for fraudulent practices. Now my state is joining in.

Do not use this company for any reason!

We have had this company taking our money for several months. We have been trying to get our freezer worked on, our first claim, for almost a month. They have scheduled people to come out with them being no shows. Calls to the company are met by apathetic noncaring, rude employees who block access when we ask to speak to supervisors. This is the worst company I think I have EVER done business with. Unprofessional, money grabbing, and provide less than acceptable service. My wife has been on the phone the last hour trying to get to talk to somebody about the technician who did not show this morning.

Will Never Pay Out…
I have tried and tried and tried to speak with someone over a couple of claims. Time passes so I chased again and they simply ignore you. They never pay out but will very quickly take your subscription!!!

They will cheat you and when they do immediately file a dispute with your credit card to collect the original premium to cover the bills they didn’t pay. These scheisters rely heavily on fake reviews BE CAREFUL

Have 2 policies—-one for home and one for pool. Trying to cancel and get refund. When I call them to explain the amount of refund, they fail to explain how they arrived at their refund calculations. This Company is being sued by the Ohio AG, for the same things they are doing to me. AT ALL COSTS, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Buyer BEWARE - BEWARE – BEWARE! They are scammers! DO NOT use this company. You are setting yourself up for failure. My HVAC stopped working and I called and put in a claim. They emailed me, and it said for me to set an appointment with some HVAC company. I called that company, and the owner of that company said that he would never work for this home warranty company because they do not pay. I called again and they emailed another company. So I called them, and that number would not go though. I called them again and they told me to call a local HVAC company, and they would pay for it. I had a company come and check it out, and they said that the blower motor was not working from the unit inside the house. I had the HVAC company order the motor and paid for it. I emailed and called them about the paid invoice for the motor and their response was “we are going to review the info” and “we will get back to you in 24-48 hours” which never happens. You have to call them to find out want happened. Now First Premier Home Warranty is telling me that they will not pay for it. Their excuse is that they want 3 years of maintenance records.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST.
If you did sign up with them, do the following. Sue them in your local court as they will not send a lawyer. THEN dispute the charges with your credit card company and send them a copy of the default judgement and they should refund any payments that you made to the company. I did this but I also discovered that they weren't licensed to do business in the state of virginia where I reside so that assisted with my dispute resolution with my American Express credit card account as well. If you have time, file a complaint here on Trust Pilot and the Better Business Bureau in Brooklyn, NY to lower their scores. Neither do anything for you to resolve your financial situation but it does serve to notify others who are thinking of doing business with them. My resolution took from April to August to resolve because I was learning along the way. If you follow what I've instructed you to do, it will work for you. Hopefully you paid with a credit card vs. a check. With a check payment, you have probably lost your funds.

The total process was frustrating and time consuming. Incurred substantial out of pocket expenses and had to constantly contact CSR personnel to get updates on service with extremely long wait time to speak to someone. Was also hung up on with the CSR personnel and had to redial the contact. When service was finally rendered with a contractor sent the bill not paid by the warranty company but was quicky sent a buy out price that would be paid to me and not the contractor sent by them which was extremely low. I had to pay the entire bill plus the deductible out of pocket to the contractor. The total process of using this company's service has been nothing but a rip off process that feed off the customers finances while paying out as little as possible if any for services or claims you request that they take care of based on your recurring monthly payments and services fees.

They cheat REAL bad. They only bought cheap aftermarket parts REFUSING to replace a 25 year old range. They REFUSED to pay the technician. They STIFFED ME with the cost of the appliance. I called and reported these FRAUDSTERS to my credit card company AND GOT A FULL REFUND.

I wish that I didn’t have to rate them 1-star because they deserve a fat zero!! This company is HORRIBLE. The lawsuit against them in California needs to add the east coast. It’s easy for them to take your money and when you need service First Premier gives you a claim number and tell you to call for whatever services you need!!! What the heck!! Their vendors never call or show and you end up having to call someone else. So why is this useless company still around to do absolutely NOTHING but take your money. It’s my goal to reach every reporting agency about this useless Trash company called First Premier home warranty. They said they will reimburse me for what I had to pay out of my pocket and I am still waiting. Don’t waste your time with this company!!! Unless you want to waste money and time. They need to be shut down. This is not a business, it’s a scamming business.

they have done nothing for me ive had to pay for some one to come find out what was wrong and all they want to do is give me the run around

This company is a scam. Do not use it. I had a problem with my built in oven. It sent me a work order for a service provider in Chicago, which is 450 miles from my house. I called several times and got absolutely no action from them. I am going to report them to the Federal Trade Commission.
