This company is a scam
This company is a scam. The main owner of this company is also a scammer. He buys fake reviews and posts them on his profile to make his business look good in front of people. Most of the reviews on his profile are fake. There are many people online who give reviews in exchange for money. Do not take services from this company. Do not waste your money unnecessarily. They are big scammers, be careful everyone. They have scammed a lot of my money.
The worst company ever
Scam! Scam! Scam! I believe this company is the worst home warranty provider in the USA. They were having a promotion and of course I took the bait and it became one of the worst decisions I've made. Please note that any positive reviews you see on them are from those who have not filed a claim. They deserve zero stars but I had to give one in order to post the review. Let me walk you through their process:
1. First you must file a claim and this needs to be done with a phone call between the hours of 9:00 to 5pm - no holidays & no weekend so forget an emergency.
2. Once you finally get your claim submitted, good luck with getting a company to come out and repair your item. I had to go through three companies before someone would finally come out to just look at the problem. 3. If the item can be repaired then that's a good thing but wait a minute..... Now you have to wait for 30 days after the repair to make another claim no matter what breaks down.
4. If your item cannot be repaired they give you a cash in lieu which of course is never enough to cover the new item. Remember those 30 days? Your check will NOT be PROCESSED until 30 days after the repair person sends them a report that the item is unrepairable and you will NEVER EVER speak with the billing department because you have to wait until they call you.( They never call).
5. After the 30 days your check is finally processed but .....you have to wait 30 more days to get it in the mail, and if it does not come, then the 30 day process starts again when you request a new check to be sent. Remember, NO new claims while you're waiting.
Guess what? It has been 6 months and I'm still waiting for my cash in lieu check and now my home warranty has expired. Of course I did not renew and that is why I'm still waiting. I call every week for an update and I keep getting a runaround.
Unfair Compensation and Poor Service
1-Star Review: First Premier Home Warranty sent me an email on March 4, 2025, with a "Cash in Lieu of Repair Form" offering a mere $177.87 for my 2019 Samsung washer (originally worth $2,000, now depreciated to $950-$1,000), but provided no explanation or justification for this amount. When I called to dispute this on the same day, they arbitrarily told me it was a "final decision" and denied my request to speak with a supervisor. They ignored my March 5 email demanding $800 or an equivalent washer by March 7. After I filed a BBB complaint, their March 31 response was irrelevant, suggesting I contact their billing department for a "cancellation process," which has nothing to do with my demands for fair compensation and transparency on repair costs and depreciation. I am currently fighting this issue through BBB and the State Attorney General’s Office Consumer Protection Division to seek justice. Poor service and deceptive practices—avoid this company! (Claim #TN-0004967)
Avoid First Premier Home Warranty
Avoid First Premier Home Warranty – Scam Company!
I strongly advise against using First Premier Home Warranty. They deny claims immediately, no matter the issue, and refuse to provide any service calls. Their customer service is completely unhelpful—the representatives have no idea what they’re doing, and their only job seems to be coming up with excuses to reject claims.
Even if you have a legitimate issue that should be covered under your policy, they will find a way to deny it. It’s clear they have no intention of actually honoring their contracts. This company is a complete scam—save your money and go with a reputable home warranty provider instead!
They will not quit emailing or calling.
They will not quit emailing or calling.
The last guy that had called I had asked please take me off your list, as I had already informed them I'm not doing anything at this time. His reply was I was a waste of time!

Fraud company
Dont buy this company warranty
They are just group of scammers and fraud people
Bad people
Looters
Pray to God- they rot in hell
State of NY should do something against these bastards
Beware before signing up with this company. They are scammers
This company and their representatives are crooks. They are not there to abide by their own contracts. They are there to scamm hard working people out of their hard working money. They took my money. I add my washer broken. I had to pay an extra 60 dollars a tech to come out to diagnose the problem for them to say it was not covered. I have a top range microwave that stopped working. Again, I had to pay an additional 60 for a tech to come diagnose the problem. For them again to say, they will not fix it and offered me a buy out. At this stage, I am exhausted and disappointed that I got involved with these crooks and accepted the buy out of less than $130.00 because I was just getting sick dealing with these crooks. A month later, I have not received the check. They have not returned my phone calls or emails.
People need to know about these scammers, so they don't fall victims to them like me.
I have no pressure in my shower
I have no pressure in my shower line. I called to report. First premiere assigned Sunshine Pluming. I called sunshine and they said they would not be coming out…all I needed was to send a picture…they would diagnose what part I needed and would schedule an appt. 8 days later…I called First Premiere…to find the reason for the delay. The representative told me the request is denied….because the shower faucet cartridge - faucet is bad…and they don’t cover that. They said it is. It covered. And, I must have too much time on my hands to call them three times about the issue. Too bad and so sad for me….not first premiere problem. He said ,”it needs fixed, right.” “ you need someone to fix,it”. Call somebody and you just pay for it. First premiere won’t. I asked to cancel my First Premiere home warranty and get the final 6 month refund. They said sure….with cancellations fees and understanding I have 1/2 or 6 months remaining on the $699 yearly contract. ..they will refund me $40. Would I like to cancel, now?
We contacted First Premier Home…
We contacted First Premier Home Warranty regarding two issues which both were turned down by the person on the phone. The shower in the guest bath could not be fixed because it was a mixing valve, although being a plumbing issue, it was not covered under their policy, which we have never received a copy of. The second item being a leaking drain under the kitchen sink. This was not covered because they, under their warranty, didn’t fix leaking basket strainers.
We entered into this agreement with First Premier Home Warranty on 11/26/2024 and became effective on 12/26/2025 with an exportation of 06/26/28. This was at a cost of $1,619.05, with a $45.00 service charge.
We have had two claims, both rejected based on the reasons we didn’t have copies of.
We sent First Premier Home Warranty a email canceling this agreement and notified our credit card company regarding this.
We have not received any form of acknowledgment regarding this cancellation from this company!
company practicing scams
company practicing scams: worst home warranty company in the United States Ever. biggest repoff company ever.
If I could give zero stars I would
If I could give zero stars I would. I am a Real Estate broker and have personally used 2-10 and American Home Shield for both my homes. I decided to try this company and I can tell you they are the WORST in every way. I paid for 2 years up front. Every time I had them come out they had an excuse as to why they couldn't do anything.
This last time I called as my touch panel on my oven was not working properly. A tech came out that spoke no english so we used Google Translate and made it through. He said I needed a new control panel and would have First Premier ok this and then would come and replace.
I didn't hear back from anyone so I called FP and was told that they had decided to SCRAP my oven and would send me a check for $75.00. They would not replace it. I have reported them to BBB, the Attorney General, State Insurance Dept and CFPB.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
Don’t Trust
Filing a claim is easy enough. But in 3 years they have denied all my claim. “Oh yes we cover that, but not the install and the install is $750” “The appliance was under warranty so it is not covered by us” and each time I have to pay the $60 service fee on top of having to pay for the repair myself. Also, I have highlighted where the policy does cover something and they still deny the claim.
I tried to cancel and they said fine but I won’t get any premium refund.
Beware
Beware! Please do not use this company. I was denied an AC claim and I've been denied a shower leak.
They also scammed a plumbing company by approving the work and then not paying.
I had to get my washer fixed and only got reimbursed $260 for a job that cost me 539.
I had a pool issue and everyone First Premier recommended for me to call for help all told me that they no longer worked with First Premier because they had been burned by the company with not receiving payment.
I have contacted them in writing and on phone to cancel my contract as 'Jake' my agent told me I could cancel any time but NO ONE has helped me with this.
If I could give 0 stars I would.
If I could give 0 stars I would.
This company is a total fraud. They refused a claim for a circulator pump because it "should not have failed" as it is 3 years old. They asked for 3 years of maintenance records for a circulator pump, which is 3 years old , and requires no maintenance.
Stay away, and dispute your credit card payment if you still can.
First Premier Home Warranty -- SCANDALOUS SCAMMERS!
First Premier Home Warranty: A Scam, Thieves, and Unethical Practices – Stay Far Away!
Thank you so much Josh Peters for asking me to do a review! I would love to share my experience. Continue reading below.
I cannot stress this enough—First Premier Home Warranty is a complete scam. They are unethical, manipulative, and downright dishonest. Do not, under any circumstances, waste your money on this company! They are thieves, and their business practices are disgraceful.
From the very start, they misrepresented their services. I paid hundreds of dollars for a home warranty, expecting coverage for repairs, but it turned out to be a complete joke. They rarely approve claims, and when they do, the payouts are so low that they barely cover anything. You’ll be left paying out-of-pocket for repairs that should have been covered, while they take your money year after year.
But that's not all. Their unethical practices go much further. First Premier manipulates online reviews—if you post a negative review, they will pressure you to remove it in exchange for canceling your account. And if that isn't bad enough, they post fake reviews themselves to make their business appear legitimate. This is outright deceitful and shows how little they care about their customers.
In addition to the numerous complaints and issues other consumers have raised, I have personally taken action and reported them to the Tennessee Attorney General's office for violating consumer protection laws. They have no respect for the rules, and their business practices are beyond shady.
To make matters worse, First Premier is currently facing a lawsuit from the Ohio Attorney General for deceptive business practices, and they are under investigation. This company is so far from legitimate—operating out of a house in Brooklyn, NY, with no real office or accountability. They haven’t even registered properly to do business in many states, including Tennessee, where I live.
First Premier is nothing more than a fraudulent company built on stealing from hard-working people. They will take your money, ignore your claims, and make your life miserable. They’re thieves, and their entire operation is a scam.
Don’t make the same mistake I did—stay far away from First Premier Home Warranty! They are unethical, untrustworthy, and out to rip you off. Save your money, your sanity, and report them to your local Attorney General if you've had similar issues!
Research the BBB for the lawsuit filed by the Ohio Attorney General's Office.
Stay away - just like dealing with gangs
Stay away from this company, they don't provide service, they only collect the premium. :
1- I submitted two service requests, and I received nothing
2- Customer service is useless, and they always tell you are not covered
3- Since customer service can not help you, they will transfer you to someone who supposedly can help you
4- Regardless if you want to discuss your policy, or cancel your policy, or another complain, they will transfer you to one person, Todd
5- This Todd, is a big liar, depends on what you need, he will give you a proper lie
6- When I finally received a cancellation form, it was just an image file with so many conditions to prevent you from any complain about the company
7- Note that there is no option to create an account online, they kept telling me an account will be created for me at the end of the month
I hope they will have an issue with some lawyer that will be able to get them to court.
They are a fraud company they deny the…
They are a fraud company they deny the homeowners claim even though the claim falls within the terms you agreed upon and they do not pay their contractors.
This is literally the worst warranty…
This is literally the worst warranty company in the world. Sometimes when I call from my primary phone number no one ever answers or it rings for 10 minutes plus. But when I've tested calling from another number at the same time and that number they answer immediately. The staff is unprofessional and when you ask for a manager they never are able to provide anyone. When they call you they call from auto dialers so it shows up as SPAM and you don't answer. They lied and ripped me off out of additional money on a service charge and then when I called to cancel, after telling me I had to email someone in order to do so, they sent an outrageous cancellation charge and when I called told me "I should be thankful i'm getting any money back." In addition they took over 2 months to pay me out for my claim and they hired a service rep they didn't want to pay when he arrived, and then when I paid, they refused to reimburse me for the full amount. I encourage everyone to file as many claims with your state licensing boards, the new york attorney general since thats where they are based at and the better business bureau. Do NOT, I repeat Do NOT sign up to use their service.
Stay away!!! Look elsewhere
Please see BBB complaint below… stay away! We have worked with much better home warranty companies in the past
We have been paying this company monthly for a home warranty to cover all major appliances. We purchased our home and the warranty two years ago, and the property was originally built in 2011. Recently, we filed a claim for our oven. A technician assessed the appliance and determined that it needed to be replaced, as it could not be repaired.
In response to our claim, the company offered a “cash in lieu of repair” payout of only $75. In what part of the country in 2025 can an oven be replaced for $75? Initially, I assumed this was a mistake, so I contacted customer service and spoke with a supervisor. However, I was informed that this is indeed their policy.
I am demanding a full refund for the premiums we have paid, as the company is not providing the coverage it advertises. Furthermore, when I requested to cancel our policy, I was told that we could not do so unless we signed a form accepting the $75 payout. We are not accepting this offer, as it does nothing to resolve the issue.
This company is running a deceptive business, collecting monthly payments with no intention of covering legitimate repairs or replacements. There are far better home warranty providers available, and I urge consumers to stay away and beware of their practices.
I gave first premier one star because I…
I gave first premier one star because I had two to write a review. Everything that I’ve done for them I have I have not gotten paid in two of the customers that I worked for. They didn’t even get their money from them neither to help after they paid their warranties in three years in advance. This is a scam a big scam first premier premier in anything to help of your clients or your contractors any contractor read this thinking about doing work for first premier walk away save your time. Save your money and save the stress.
