We have just purchased a Standard bundle of Smoke and Heat Alarms, plus CO alarm and a Remote Controller, from Fireguard Plus, in order to comply with the new Scottish Govt. requirements - we already had a reasonable range of standalone devices, but these were not "compliant" in terms of the somewhat OTT new regs. Be that as it may, our experience in dealing with Fireguard Plus, also self-installing the interlinked alarms, has been absolutely wonderful!! The products are of great quality, and the interlinking worked so easily. A couple of questions we had were answered within an hour, on a bank holiday. Buy from Fireguard with Total Confidence!!

Ordered on Christmas Eve and arrived In seven days. Setting up and pairing units was quick and easy. I had a query about where to locate kitchen unit and my email was replied to the next day.

The smoke detectors and heat detectors are ace! Easy to set up and pair. Unfortunately adhesive backing strips are no use. All 3 fell off my perfectly smooth and pre-cleaned ceilings, the first after 9 days, and one day later again, after I tried a new adhesive strip. the other 2 fell today, 16 days from fitting, the last one narrowly missing me, as I was going to front door to accept a delivery. Miraculously, all 3 alarms are still working, and still paired. Fireguard are sending me new screws, as I've misplaced originals. Oops! I put them is a safe place? I am going to get the electrician across the road to screw them to the ceiling for me. At least I know he won't drill through any electrics, and he will remove my old hard-wired alarm at same time. Please find a company to supply stronger adhesive strips for your packs.

Bought Bundle 2, 3 Smoke Alarms, plus 1 heat and 1 Carbon Monoxide. Truly quick and excellent service....Very easy to put up and to sync them all. Very impressed with how quick they were sent to me especially at a very busy period.. Highly recommend

This is second five star review. After installing a standard bundle the heat alarm, which was attached with the adhesive pad to a wooden painted kitchen ceiling, fell onto a hard floor damaging the senor. The replacement sensor was received within two days of contacting Fireguard and a couple of emails to them about how to reconnect it into the system were answered on the days I sent them. Excellent service.

Further to my initial review I had contact from Claire at Fireguardplus who assured me that there was indeed a misunderstanding and the missing items had been dispatched. I received the balance of the order on Wednesday. I am grateful and hopefully my feedback will prevent this happening to other people.

Ordered bundle of 2 smoke 1 heat alarm which arrived promptly and well packaged. Instructions on pairing and installing straightforward although personally I would advise if ceiling is artexed that you use the 2 screws provided to mount to ceiling mount rather than rely on sticky pads provided being secure enough. Excellent customer service and pleased with bundle purchased, will be purchasing another bundle for parent.

Hello, my 6x Smoke Alarms went in today, and they were pretty much straight forward to install, provided you have the physical ability, the right tools and can reach the ceiling by using a step ladder perhaps.

I chose to fix them in place using the supplied screws and plugs. I also have a Heat Alarm fitted in the kitchen.

Its often recommended to install smoke alarms central to the ceiling, but what about the light that has already taken that magic spot!

I would suggest that you place your Smoke alarms on the ceiling, no closer than 30 cm to any wall / obstruction, to avoid what's known as 'dead space' as strange as it sounds, smoke does not always fill a room in the same way for example that water could?

I now have all my bedrooms, the hallway, landing, living room and kitchen, all interlinked and all the alarms are working successfully. I may even purchase two more smoke heads for 'complete' coverage, just for my own satisfaction, over and above what's legally required.

In ten years time I will still need to replace these units, as by then they will have become time expired, and no doubt, depending on how many tests I've carried out, may well have a dead battery or two? These units are fitted with tamper proof non exchangeable batteries.

I also considered the hope of extending my original new-build Heat and Smoke alarm heads which were interlinked/wired but I would have needed to pay for the alarms, an electrician to install the cabling, and if that was to be hidden, some drilling and tunnelling through the infrastructure would have been required and after ten years, the heads themselves would still be time expired, so I believe I've saved a small amount by going D.I.Y.

Mrs even likes how they look? Tidy, unobtrusive.

I would have given 5 stars has it not been for an issue with delivery and I did previously leave a bad review but I have just had my alarms fitted and am delighted.
The friend who installed them for me said to mention how easy they were to fit.
He had bought a different make and hasn’t managed to interlink them yet.
When I saw how easy it was I might have managed myself.
I take back everything I previously said about Fireguard+ and they have kept in touch to find out if I was happy with their product and yes I certainly am.
I should also mention that after I left my first review one of the owners of the company phoned me to explain about delivery delays and I was very impressed that he took the time to do that.
So yes I would definitely recommend this product and company.

Ordered a standard pack. Remote faulty, replacement on way and team helped me with manual pairing instructions. At each contact point by email the service has been excellent. Have now ordered a further 3 standard packs for family members and would not hesitate to recommend this company.

Full bundle( 3 bed house) ordered. Delivered two days later. Watched fitting instruction video. The whole process took no longer than 30 mins from start to finish. Do not hesitate to get these alarms.

Ordered the starter pack from Fireguard, however order placed on 1st December but still not delivered. As previously stated by someone else, there's no way of checking your order or contacting the supplier.

Made an enquiry for a large order for fire detection for several properties. A very competitive price came back. I asked if the 10 year battery life is guaranteed. They responded to say they give a 2 year warranty. That looks quite short, even if they lasted 5 years reliably you would offer 3 years surely? Asked for a phone contact. Was ignored and now they seem to have blocked my e-mail. Have now ordered the detectors from another company in England for a price somewhat lower (sorry misread prices in previous version of this post). (Response to reply posted 15/12/21) I note no response to the absence of telephone contact, nor to the short guarantee. Alarms have now arrived from the company in Alford.

Ordered £198.00 packed arrived 2 days later fallowed on line video to installation no electrician required they work a treat and my home is now legal for Feb 2022

I ordered a full set of smoke, heat and carbon monoxide alarms for our house. They were a very reasonable price and were delivered quickly. We had an issue with one alarm not networking, but Fireguard Plus sent a replacement straight away. Customer service was excellent. The alarms themselves are of a good quality and work brilliantly. They are very straight forward to install and use.

Recently bought a standard bundle from Fireguardplus, the order arrived well within the timescale quoted when I made the purchase. The linked smoke alarms and heat sensor were extremely easy to set up ( it took me longer to unpack the items than to pair them ). Having a remote control unit included in the system is extremely helpful as it means I can test/silence the units without having to find something to climb on to gain access.
