I bought the battery operated starter pack. So easy to link and install. I have used the sticky pads but it does look simple enough to use the screws to fix to the ceiling if required.

Forget the sticker pads!!! Had bought 7 alarms over 2 properties and 5 fell down breaking 3 of them. Alarms are lightweight so clearly the circular sticker pads are not up to it as they peel off whether in a warm or cold room. Have informed the Company who in fairness send replacement alarms, however they are in denial over the sticker problems given dozens of other complaints, clearly wishing to still "sell" the convenience stick them up story as the unique selling point. That is flouting advertising standards the way I see it, totally ignoring feedback. If you screw them in, then yes they work are set up easily, but imagine having a small print statement on instructions stating they may not stick on wallpaper...how many houses have ceilings that do not have wallpaper? Jeesh...So 1 Star for continuing to sell a working Turkey....

I had one of the alarms chirp every 3 hours, annoying at night.
I was very pleased to be advised that a replacement unit was to be sent as soon as stock was available.

I bought the middle bundle of interlinked alarms to comply with the new Scottish regulations, and am very pleased with them! Took myself and husband about 20 minutes to remove our old ones, pair up these ones with each other and install. One of the reasons I bought these is because our local electrician was using them so I knew they would be ok, plus they are less noticeable when up that other bulkier less sleek brands and the remote control was also a plus.

No issues with delivery or customer service, very fast to respond to queries!

These are very flimsy and not easy to work, the sticky labels do not keep them up on ceiling either.
Fell off now not working so I definitely would not buy these again. And would not advise anyone too either

Ordered package to comply with new regulations, unfortunately one of the smoke alarms failed to pair. I had no difficulty emailing Firegaurd who responded quickly and sent a replacement. Good costumer service 😀

Fire/ smoke alarms set ideal .. just don't use the adhesive pads on wallpaper as three fell down & cracked the plastic. On just painted ceilings they seem to stick ok.
** USE SCREWS IF CEILING HAS WALLPAPER ON IT **

I needed linked alarms for a quirky Scottish cottage. After weeks of looking, an elderly friend recommended Fireguard+ and I was really pleasantly surprised. Whilst not the least expensive, the alarms are incredibly neat and have a 10 year life. They can be stuck or screwed into place and you get a remote 'testing' control that lets you test all the alarms at once without having to step on a chair! The best bit of all, though, was that Peter answered queries and emails within 24 yours (quicker than that mostly) and kept me up to date with delivery expectations. If you are looking for a quality product that won't destroy the look of your ceiling, go for these ones. And if they don't have the pack that meets your need, use their dinky little 'design' links and you'll get a proper list and up to date costs almost by return. Couldn't be more pleased.

My first contact was a query, which was met with a swift and helpful response. My order was quickly acknowledged, and I was advised of the progress of my order at every step. The alarm system arrived on time, was well packed, the instructions were straightforward and easy to follow, and the alarms were paired and fitted without any problems. I had one further query, after fitting, and that was answered quickly and fully. A great product, at a very good price, and great customer service. Highly recommended.

I completed a customised order for my own property and hesitated to fit it myself. However I di eventually pluck up the courage to do so- It was a 10 minute job at most, with the instructional video exceptionally easy to follow.
I later ordered for my daughters smaller property and made a mistake in the order. Fireguard responded almost immediately and sorted the error. First Class goods and service.

I placed my first order at the beginning December and it was delivered within a few days. On arrival, I set all out on the floor and ‘paired’ them, the process is truly simple. As, at the time I was unable to fit them, they sat in their box for some time. During this time, I ordered two more sets for friends, that was January 18th but they took until February 2nd to get to me. I understood the reason for the delay and I have since installed them all using the adhesive rings supplied (I also added good quality double side tape in the middle for added security). Whilst putting mine up I triggered them all by accidently pressing on the surface, lesson learnt. The next two sets I stuck to the ceiling then removed them, pressed the base plate firmly to ensure adhesion. I then set them out, paired them and was then able to re-position the detectors.
At the time of my first purchase there were only a few 1-star reviews, I see that has grown somewhat, the delayed or non-deliveries didn’t put me off as these things happen and are usually remedied fairly swiftly. However, the alarms sounding though the night did disturb me a bit especially as there was no response from the company.
I guess it’s a case of QED although I have had no issues with mine and let’s face it, I don’t think anybody wants to have them tested in the conditions they are designed for. I am going to test mine with real smoke, i.e., a snuffed candle and perhaps a hairdryer for the heat alarm as it is just possible for the great little remote to trigger them but for them not to work as they should. One thing is for sure that you will be hard pushed to find a better looking or designed alarm kit, unobtrusive. I find the remote to be an excellent idea as if the alarms sound, while you are looking for the source the last thing you need is all that noise to distract you.
It is always reassuring to get a review from someone like Mr martin mcguinness who has experience.
I shall update if I encounter any problems.

Very easy to install and Very easy to connect (link) devices, other reviews on here say that they had problems connecting the devises but I suspect this user error on what is a very simple process. If you are able to work the remote for your telly this is far far simpler...

Delivery time was about a week in my case. I image demand is very high atm.

The detectors are very sleek, and you barely notice them.
