This was my first time using Fast Cover for Travel Insurance, and my first time ever needing to make a claim. The Fast Cover operators seemed concerned that I had had an accident (no fault of my own), and continued with a combination of empathy and fast, efficient service throughout the process. They did not quibble, and paid the claim in full, promptly and in a friendly manner. I will definitely use Fast Cover again next time I need Travel Insurance, and I am happy to recommend them to others as well.

I wanted to make a last minute adjustment to the policy. Customer Service Officer was friendly, polite, knowledgeable and was able to effect the desired change instantly over the phone. The reviewed policy certificate was immediately emailed to me, and a refund for part of the policy premium was actioned straight away. Great service!

Review of Fast Cover Travel Insurance

I would strongly caution anyone considering Fast Cover Travel Insurance to read the fine print very carefully before purchasing a policy. My mother, aged 86 and in excellent health at the time I booked our holiday, became seriously ill and was later diagnosed with a terminal condition shortly before our planned departure. As her sole caregiver, my husband and I had no choice but to cancel our trip.

Regrettably, Fast Cover declined to cover any of our cancellation expenses, resulting in a personal loss of $25,000. The response we received lacked empathy or understanding and instead reflected a rigid application of policy terms without consideration for our circumstances.

Since then, I have learned that friends insured with 1Cover Travel Insurance faced similar situations but experienced no difficulty in having their claims approved.

It is deeply disappointing that a company in the business of providing support during unforeseen and distressing times could demonstrate so little compassion. I sincerely hope Fast Cover reflects on how it handles claims from families dealing with terminal illness in the future.

As frequent travellers we have used various companies for travel insurance but changed to Fast Cover this year as the website was easy to navigate and intuitive. Our first time ever in having to put in a claim was daunting but Fast Cover kept me updated as to its progress and once approved the money was in my account within 24hrs. Will definitely use them again.

After a medical issue in the USA, the Fastcover emergency response team was helpful in deciding what to do next. The claims team was always very helpful by phone and email and the claim was approved, but the sought level of medical history was difficult to gather, and the claim process took almost a month. It would be helpful if Fastcover explained more clearly, at the beginning of a claim, what level of detail they need in the medical history.

My daughter broke her ankle in Italy and needed surgery. Fastcover were fantastic. They actually cared and rang to see how things were going and if we needed anything. In the end we flew back to Australia to have surgery. They allowed business class flights so my daughter can keep her leg up and also Business class for 1 carer. They were very clear and fair with the Claim that I put through and paid for Flights, lost accomodation, Taxi, Crutches and even medicine. They were Brilliant. Highly recommended.

Our claim was handled efficiently, yet sympathetically. I cannot speak highly enough of the claims staff who I spoke with or communicated with, always taking the time to ask after my daughter by name and offer good wishes for her recovery. They explained the processes clearly and once approved, payment was made promptly. Thank you for making this difficult time a little easier. I will always use fastcover travel insurance and recommend highly.

Easy to understand and deal with. Cover reasonable even with disclosures of existing conditions. Very easy to add destinations, to an existing policy , at affordable prices.

What made me choose Fast Cover Travel Insurance initially was their very competitive price, but my dealings with them made me realize that they genuinely try to be as helpful as they can be.
For an old bugger fast approaching 80, the choices are increasingly limited, but they were very accommodating and efficient. I,d use them again without hesitation.
