Locking Oval Knob Espagnolette Bolt

Exceeded Expectations

I recently ordered a door handle from their luxury range and I'm genuinely impressed with the quality. As soon as I opened the package, I could tell it was a premium product. The finish is excellent, it feels solid and well-made, and once it was fitted, it completely changed the look of my door.

The photos on the website looked good, but seeing it in person was even better. It adds a really high-end touch and I've already had a couple of people comment on how nice it looks. Delivery was smooth and everything arrived well packaged.

Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase and wouldn't hesitate to order from them again if I need more hardware in the future.

Ordered espagnolette bolts

Ordered I ordered some espagnolette bolts from them, the locking ones for my double doors, and the build quality is really solid. The mechanism works perfectly, holding everything securely and smoothly. Installation was straightforward, and the fit feels precise. Overall, I’m impressed with how reliable and well-made they are for keeping those doors in place. Recommended the same to some of my friends as well they bought them and are happy with the item.
Would definitely recommend them as their customer services were really supportive and helped throughout the process.

Oval Knob Locking Espagnolette Bolt

I purchased two Oval Knob Locking Espagnolette Bolt from this company for just shy of £500 inc expecting a quality piece of kit for the money spent. although the brass work was good the quality of the mechanical components are beyond poor with its components consistently failing. when approaching this company they fail to respond, ignoring emails, a phone number that instantly goes to voicemail to which they again never respond. When I did get to speak a company representative I was informed he would sort the problem out asap but to date has not that was the last contact I managed the locks I have are still useless and I would not recommend anyone purchase this product or have dealings with this company

I am disappointed with my experience…

I am disappointed with my experience purchasing from Euro Art.

I ordered a Cassilda Pull Handle after viewing the product page, which prominently displayed the handle in a brass finish. Although the colour selection at checkout was Silver Nickel, I found the overall presentation of the product page confusing and potentially misleading, as the brass finish was featured in the main product images despite not being available to order.

When I contacted customer service, I was informed that the Golden Brass finish had been discontinued from UK stock. Had this been made clear on the product page, I would not have placed the order.

The item was a standard stock product, unused, and I requested to return it within 14 days of delivery. However, I was informed that a 20% restocking fee would be deducted from any refund, along with non-refundable delivery costs.

While Euro Art responded promptly and provided references to their returns policy, I was disappointed that they were unwilling to waive the restocking fee despite the confusion caused by the product presentation and the fact that the item had not been used.

My advice to future customers would be to carefully double-check all finish selections before ordering and review the returns policy in detail, particularly regarding restocking fees.

Overall, I found the customer service polite, but the product presentation and returns process fell short of my expectations.

Product images are provided by manufacturers and may show alternative finishes or configurations to demonstrate the design of the product. The finish available for purchase is clearly indicated within the product options and on the order confirmation.

We appreciate your comments regarding the discontinued Golden Brass finish and will review the product page to determine whether any additional clarification would be beneficial for future customers.

With regard to the return request, the item was eligible for return in accordance with our returns policy. The applicable restocking charge and carriage costs were outlined within our terms and conditions, which are available prior to purchase. I had a terrible experience with this…

I had a terrible experience with this company & will never use them again (first & last time) for me.
I sent a faulty item back where i had to pay shipping costs myself, i still have not received my refund & after contacting them via phone call was just abruptly cut off forcing me to contact paypal to get help & clarification + they also charged me for re-stocking the item back onto their own shelf?? to which i totally disagree with.
I will never use this company again & would recommend to all customers to read their reviews before dealing with them for peace of mind.
Fortunately for me i made the common sense of paying through paypal which does cover me in case companies that will gladly take your money but does not like paying the customer back or make it very hard to recover your losses.

We need to be very clear: the item you returned was inspected and found to be severely damaged and not in its original, saleable condition. You have publicly requested a refund while leaving out this key fact.

We cannot refund an item that has been returned damaged, incomplete, or in a condition where it cannot be resold. This is not Euro Art refusing a valid refund. This is an item being returned in an unacceptable condition.

The EA 210 Slim Line Smart Digital Lock was returned and was delivered to us on 08/06/2026. YOU THEN OPENED A PAYPAL/CHARGEBACK CLAIM THE VERY NEXT DAY, BEFORE ALLOWING REASONABLE TIME FOR THE RETURN TO BE INSPECTED AND PROCESSED. IN OUR VIEW, THIS SHOWS YOU WERE SEEKING TO RECOVER THE MONEY QUICKLY THROUGH A DISPUTE PROCESS RATHER THAN ALLOWING THE RETURN TO BE HANDLED PROPERLY UNDER THE TERMS ALREADY EXPLAINED TO YOU.

After inspection, the item was found not to meet the condition required for a return. We have photographic evidence of the returned condition and are prepared to share this evidence with Trustpilot, PayPal, or any relevant authority. We have nothing to hide.

Before you returned the item, we clearly advised you that returned goods must be in their original condition and packaging. We also explained that this would be treated as a non-fault return unless a manufacturing fault was confirmed, that a 20% restocking fee applies to eligible non-fault returns, and that delivery costs are non-refundable.

You claimed the item was faulty, but no manufacturing fault has been confirmed. Based on the information and photographs you provided before purchase/return, our position remains that the product was suitable for your door type. This type of installation may require an experienced fitter familiar with multipoint locking systems and smart lock conversions.

We also note that your earlier complaint about not receiving order updates was investigated by us. We provided evidence showing that the email address entered at checkout was incorrect. After seeing this evidence, you acknowledged your mistake and apologised in writing.

Your review omits important facts and presents the matter unfairly. We have responded to your emails, provided evidence when requested, explained the return terms before the item was sent back, and inspected the return properly.

The damaged returned item remains available for you to arrange collection from our premises.

Blame it on the Gulf! Really…?

Edit - once the item was received I was very happy with the quality of product and when I had concerns regarding the compatibility with the door I did receive a timely response and advice which proved useful. The lock is now installed and working as expected. With hindsight I do feel that I would use the company again, despite my initial frustrations.

I ordered a lock on 6th March. Delivery due within one week. I chased no -receipt and they blamed it on the issues in the Gulf! Ridiculous. It wouldn’t have arrived in a week if that was the case anyway. 6 weeks in and still no lock. I have chased again and hope to receive a more appropriate response this time. But based on the first, I doubt it. Never again…

Bought 2 chrome 85mm oval thumbturn…

Bought 2 chrome 85mm oval thumbturn rack bolts they arrived quickly and are really good quality ( there's cheaper ones on ebay but poor quality and shorter backset so they don't line up with door handles ) my customer was happy with them so worth the extra money will definitely use ironmongery solutions again.

Mixed opinion

Items arrived promptly and at first looked good quality. The brass T plate is good but as ever the screws are awful. A couple didn't even have the slot in the centre of the head and two sheared off as I screwed the plate on causing no end of hassle trying to remove the sheared thread from my work.
Also I don't think it's appropriate to call my phone number while I'm at work to ask for a review when I've not given permission to be contacted by phone.

Terrible company

Placed order, no email receipt nor dispatch confirmation, phoned days later to enquire (though after waiting half an hour on being 1st caller & then they transferred me to an area that did not operate) after x8 email bounce backs, they said delivery would be with me within days & they would issue my receipt which they never did. Their online template response of 1-2days is not acknowledged either. 1.5weeks passed, no product arrival, called again, they said their system was cyber attacked!!!! They could not trace my order. They provided multiple excuses that never rang true. I believe this company to be fraudulent. I had to repeatedly request a refund.
Postscript: This company did not like my review and has debated it and yet made further excuses, thus proving they cannot take ownership of lack of service. I placed an order via the Ironmongery website that I was advised by Euro Art is the parent company. When I phoned in the first instance they did not want my order number only my postcode as they again assured me they could find my order no matter the reference or company! For a company to take money, not complete an order and argue the toss on no order (no matter how messy their administration process) is fraudulent to say the least.
