Review for Utap – A Disappointing Experience with Their Payment Services
We engaged with UTAP, a subsidiary of Etisalat UAE, to provide payment devices for a Restaurant after receiving numerous calls from their team urging us to work with them. After multiple discussions, we agreed to a one-year contract with a fixed monthly fee, after which we would only be charged a commission per transaction.
When their team arrived to sign the contract, the restaurant was busy, and we were unable to thoroughly review the documents. Later, we were shocked to discover that we had unknowingly signed a three-year contract instead of the agreed-upon one-year term. We made countless attempts to contact them to rectify this issue, but each time, they gave us empty promises that the matter would be resolved soon, yet nothing was done.
Eventually, we decided to stop using the device until they amended the contract as originally agreed. Two months later, we were surprised to find out that they had unilaterally canceled the contract without informing us and had sent the outstanding amount to a collection agency, demanding a payment of AED 4,000, despite the device itself being worth no more than AED 500!
This behavior reflects unethical and unprofessional practices, where profit is made through deceptive means rather than through genuine service. Due to this highly disappointing experience, we strongly caution others against dealing with this company. We will be posting this review across all rating and review platforms to ensure potential customers are well-informed before making any commitments with them.

تعاملنا مع شركة Utap التابعة لاتصالات الإمارات بهدف توفير أجهزة الدفع الإلكتروني في مطعمنا، وذلك بعد تلقي العديد من الاتصالات من فريقهم لإقناعنا بالتعاون معهم. وبعد عدة محاولات، اتفقنا معهم على عقد لمدة سنة واحدة برسوم شهرية، وبعدها يكون الدفع فقط على أساس العمولة عند استخدام الجهاز.
عند حضور فريقهم لتوقيع العقد، كان المطعم مزدحمًا، ولم يتسنَّ لنا قراءة التفاصيل بدقة. لاحقًا، اكتشفنا أننا وقعنا على عقد لمدة 3 سنوات بدلاً من سنة واحدة، مما كان مخالفًا لما تم الاتفاق عليه شفهيًا. حاولنا التواصل معهم مرارًا لحل هذه المسألة، لكن دون جدوى، حيث كانوا يعدوننا مرارًا وتكرارًا بحل المشكلة دون أي تنفيذ فعلي.
في النهاية، قررنا إيقاف استخدام الجهاز حتى يتم تعديل العقد كما تم الاتفاق عليه في البداية. وبعد شهرين، تفاجأنا بأنهم قاموا بإلغاء العقد من طرفهم دون أي إشعار مسبق، ثم أحالوا المبلغ المستحق إلى شركة تحصيل ديون (Collection Agency)، وطالبونا بدفع 4000 درهم، رغم أن سعر الجهاز نفسه لا يتجاوز 500 درهم!
هذا الأسلوب يعكس سلوكًا غير مهني واستغلالًا غير مبرر، حيث يتم تحقيق أرباح بطرق غير متعلقة بالخدمة الفعلية. إن هذه التجربة غير المرضية تدفعنا إلى تحذير الآخرين من التعامل مع هذه الشركة، وسننشر تقييمنا هذا على جميع منصات التقييم والمراجعة حتى يكون العملاء على دراية كاملة قبل اتخاذ أي قرار بالتعامل معهم.

Мы начали сотрудничество с UTAP, дочерней компанией Etisalat UAE, для установки платёжных терминалов в ресторане после многочисленных звонков от их команды, настойчиво предлагающей нам их услуги. После нескольких обсуждений мы согласились на годовой контракт с фиксированной ежемесячной оплатой, после чего плата взималась бы только в виде комиссии за транзакции.
Когда их команда приехала подписывать контракт, ресторан был загружен, и у нас не было возможности тщательно изучить документы. Позже мы с удивлением обнаружили, что подписали трёхлетний контракт вместо согласованного годового. Мы многократно пытались связаться с ними, чтобы исправить ситуацию, но каждый раз получали пустые обещания, что проблема скоро будет решена – однако ничего так и не изменилось.
В конечном итоге мы решили перестать использовать терминал, пока они не внесут изменения в контракт, как было изначально оговорено. Через два месяца мы с удивлением узнали, что они в одностороннем порядке расторгли контракт, не уведомив нас, и передали задолженность в коллекторское агентство, потребовав оплату в размере 4 000 дирхамов ОАЭ, несмотря на то, что сам терминал стоит не более 500 дирхамов!
Такое поведение свидетельствует о неэтичных и непрофессиональных методах работы, когда прибыль извлекается за счёт обмана, а не качественного сервиса. Из-за этого крайне негативного опыта мы настоятельно предостерегаем других от сотрудничества с данной компанией. Мы разместим этот отзыв на всех доступных платформах с рейтингами и отзывами, чтобы потенциальные клиенты были осведомлены перед тем, как принять решение о работе с ними.

This is a reminder to never buy a contract with this company!!! I bought a contract for home wireless wifi and it said speeds up to 250 mbps. When I am using it ALONE (single user) max speeds reach 40 mbps. The router is provided by Etisalat. It is a third party from Etisalat. Customer service did not help at all and the manager (he said he is the night shift manager) was VERY mean and informed I need to solve this issue MYSELF alone and contact their manufacturer, although it is THEIR manufacturer, I did not buy the router myself, Etisalat have provided the router. Improvement: Etisalat needs to fix / change the router THEY have supplied to me. They should deal with THEIR manufacturer, not me, it is not my manufacturer.

I got charged 1200 AED for 1.5 months of service. Total scam from this company, signed up for monthly, but only used for 1.5 months and got charged a final bill of 1200 AED. I refused to pay fraudulent charge and no longer use them.

When a company holds a monopoly, it may feel empowered to mistreat its customers. However, there comes a point where such behavior is no longer tolerated. I experienced this firsthand when dealing with Etisalat. Despite canceling my account due to moving homes, I was still charged monthly fees without follow-up. For years, I requested the removal of unnecessary TV packages, only to be told it was impossible. Strangely, upon canceling my E-Life package, suddenly it became possible. The discrepancies didn't end there. The exit fee quoted varied drastically between the app, website, and customer service, leaving me feeling deceived. In an age where transparency is paramount, such inconsistencies erode trust. Despite reluctantly settling the bill, I'm left with a lingering sense of being scammed. Consequently, I've decided to terminate all four mobile subscriptions with Etisalat, as my confidence in their integrity has been irreparably shaken.
Do they not know that customers hate them?
They live in a lettuce. Takes forever to reach someone on the phone with all their useless introductions and announcements. Their “virtual assistant” is useless and speaks broken Arabic.

This is one of the least reliable businesses that I have ever had to deal with. They are failing each and every time to engage with reported issues while constantly telling customers “we have escalated the case with reference number ….” and “it’s our pleasure to assist you at any time.” But then no one takes action. These robotic cut & paste messages with no real commitment send a clear message: save yourself by not trusting them at all.

The ads, overlay on live game coverage, replays and reviews. Sometimes, the first ball of an over is not shown, because the ad was on. The whole objective of live coverage is to view the game.

The worst company I have never seen, I made a transaction from my bank card with an amount 2600 LE from Etisalat cash app and the amount withdraw from my bank account without deposit in Etisalat cash wallet from 16 August 2023 till this moment I still didn't receive and get my money back and Etisalat customer service told me that the problem from the Bank and lie and told me that the transaction didn't made by the application and I have screenshot from the application by the successful transactions, they are liers and they stealing money from customers, take care from Etisalat cash wallet, and also the network of Etisalat is the worst network and always weak at any place
