Absolutely disappointing and inferior product as in quality, design and manufacturing. No labels attached and no invoice with information on how to return your product. Like so many others I got deceived and conned by the look of the website, their imagery and everything else. I learned from this bad experience to ALWAYS check the source and legitimacy of websites when parting with your money ! ABSOLUTELY dislike the jumper and everything with it. Chinese Rubbish !!

If I could give zero stars I would.
All items purchased are not wearable and definitely do not correspond to the quality that is photographed on their website. Don't waste your money.

RESEARCH FIRST! Ordered two pairs of Men's shoes, rubbish quality, from Asia through A person in Belguim, listed as a Melbourne based company, item sent from PO Box in NSW! YANWEN PO BOX 6082 CHULLORA NSW 1405.

Scam website. After a lengthy wait for delivery, the jacket I ordered was not made of wool (as advertised). I received a poor quality polyester jacket, and a poor excuse from the company as to why they won't give me a refund. Avoid at all costs.

I too thought Elle Melbourne was a Melbourne based store that was closing down!!!!!!!!!! I ordered 2 cardigans in medium at half price (originally $120 each). What a shock when I received them, not only were they more like an extra small but everything about them was nothing like their photos. Cheap fabric, awful colors and then I discover they came from China, what a cheap scam. To top it off, returning them would cost a ridiculous amount of money. I will NEVER EVER recommend this company and will donate the cardigans to a Charity shop. Furthermore, I will review online companies BEFORE I place an order in future. RIPPED OFF!

I only wish I’d searched these reviews before purchasing anything from this company. The item I ordered was nothing like what I thought I was ordering which was a denim dress. The item received was of cheap, blue material as thin as paper, the cut, quality and workmanship was of an extremely low quality and to top things off it was going to cost me more money to return it to China than what I paid to purchase it!! VERY UNHAPPY!!!

I'm 80 and ordered these clothes ($274) for trip overseas. The clothes did not arrive (obviously not from Melbourne) and after 5 weeks they arrived even thought I contacted the company numerous times to cancel. They are beyond disgusting - ill fitting, cheapest material and nothing like the photos. Lesson learnt ... buy local ... don't be ripped off. Total scam.

This business engages in false advertising and sells poor-quality products made from cheap materials. Its items are priced very high, ultimately ripping off customers. The name "Elle Melbourne" is misleading; it is designed to deceive customers into believing the business is based in Melbourne, Australia, when, in fact, it is located in a province in China. Be cautious and do not fall for this scheme. It’s absolutely rubbish!

What an absolute scam your company is pretending to be based in Melbourne Australia and pawning off your absolute cheap Chinese crap material made jumper that Is nothing like the advertised and pictured item.
To charge me $60 AUD for something that’s lucky to be worth $10 and then say up to$40 to return is absurd and disgusting, you should be ashamed of yourselves and am sure everyone that purchases from you are certainly not return clients. If only I had seen the Australian news a Cple of days earlier about you.

Not as advertised. Overpriced and poor quality. I ordered a pair of women's ankle boots. The materials are low grade shiny pleather like fabric. The shoes are comfortable, but won't last long due to poor craftsmanship.

For someone who usually checks reviews and is cautious where I purchase due to so many people who take advantage and scam people I’m disappointed in myself that I saw the name and assumed it was an Australian company. Using Melbourne in the name was deceiving. The quality is very bad, it’s see through and looks like it’s come from SHEIN, it took 2 weeks to arrive and it came from the same company as SHEIN products. It was a jump suit and hard to get in and out of, no zips or anything , I had to get into it by going through the head hole which was a little bizarre . So disappointed.. they also mention they are closing down and end of sale is tonight and it’s end of sale every day apparently. Looks like a scam site , very misleading and deceptive

Would put no stars if possible, photos completely different to what I received. I would walk passed them if I saw them in a shop, crappy slippery polyester material, when the photos show a textured linen look. They charge $40 per item to return back to China for import charges plus a $15 restocking fee plus registered post. So it was going to cost more than what I paid to send back. They offered me 20% refund!!! It honestly would have cost a total of $10 in the hideously cheap material to make all 5 items. Please do not buy from them. They are not a Melbourne company. DO NOT BUY!!!

minus 5 if I could it. SCAM SCAM SCAM. I was looking for jacket and found the website that stated it was in Melb and having a closing down clearance sale. Item took 4 weeks to arrive (I am 4 hours away from Melb) because it came from China. Looks nothing like picture I ordered. complete silence despite my emails to them requesting refund. Their site says send product back and they they will start refund process. THIS IS A GHOST COMPANY TAKING MONEY FROM PEOPLE - DO NOT USE.

DON’T BUY FROM ELLE MELBOURNE! Extremely poor quality women’s apparel. Advertised as 100% linen, was actually 100% polyester. Customer service advised that to return items, it would cost me $15 per item and additional costs of up to $40 per item. It would have cost me the same amount to return the items as it did to purchase them! I was offered a 20% refund and got to keep the rubbish items of clothing with the suggestions I could perhaps gift them to a friend. I respect my friends too much to insult them with such a cheap quality gift. Surely it’s not legal to get away with such false advertising. Never again.

I will always read reviews first from now on! I believed that I was buying from an up market company 'Elle' that was closing down in Melbourne and selling their stock. Even had a photo of the Couple. I was totally fooled to the value of AUD$200.
The three items I received are the worst quality I have ever seen, worse fabric and construction than cheap polyester halloween costumes. Sizing charts totally wrong and items look NOTHING like the website. One dress is so thin it is see though, no facings or linings, sadly looks like sweat shop basic. Forget the "no hassle free/easy returns", and it DOES NOT STATE ON THEIR WEBSITE THAT THE GOODS COME FROM CHINA. I wrote my dissatisfaction and as everyone else stated, they make it impossible to return with the charges you incur. I want to return them in spite, but seems that some reviews say they have returned them and no response, so I am wary of throwing good money after bad. I have written a few emails since they sent the one email about returning the items, with no response. A bitter pill to swallow, but lesson learned. I am reporting to Department of Fair Trading and advise others to do the same. Would give Negative stars if I could. A-Holes!

Came from China. Wasn’t told shipped from China. Items absolutely disappointing. Not up to standard. Requested refund given long story about all the extra charges that will be deducted. Then saying they are a CO2 company to reduce emissions only to have the items in their own plastic bag inside a bag. Completely a rip off. Wish I’d done more research first.

Also ordered orthopaedic sandals supposedly leather. NOT! Total rubbish, stunk like glue, plastic soles and Vinyl upper, nil arch support and arrived a month later in a plastic bag no box. Threw them straight in the bin. I’ll be checking reviews next time for sure.

Total scam I've been waiting 6 weeks for my order and still nothing. Tried to get a refund only to be told I need to wait for the order then pay for a return of the items that never arrived. Talk about a dodgy catch 22
