You will most likely receive something resembling your purchase.

However,
- Size charts are not correct.
- Materials and quality will not match the description (e.g. Linen).

They are an International company so don't fall for the return to warehouse. That will not guarantee a refund and end up costing you.

They use 'closing down sale' scams and other bits and pieces.

My recommendation, accept the financial loss and file a report with the ACCC. Which will flag them but can't really do anything as they are operating online and internationally. I won't add a link, just google it.

I donated the clothes to the salvos, hopefully some one will benefit from the smallest XLs on the planet.

Zero!! As soon as I pulled out the first item I knew it was going to be bad! And it got worse. All items I purchased were very cheaply made, horrendous, no tags about washing or material description inside, some felt so cheap you wouldn't pay $5 on Temu, let alone believe they are quality items hand picked by the Australian business owners. Site gave impression that clothing is of high quality and are selling off at very discounted prices because they are closing down.

I was sent 3 pairs of pants size medium, all were size 1, might fit a small child. They were supposed to be linen, not the case, they are very cheap looking.
Another pair were medium but if I bent over they would split. They were supposed to be cotton but obviously have polyester in them.
They are NOT A MELBOURNE COMPANY!!!
All things are made in China and sent from there. To top it off you have to pay for return to China, pay tax for China product. What a rip off.

After constantly complaining and stating I would report to ACCC and Scam watch I was offered %15.

Stated no way and offered 50% still not good enough.

Sent all the emails and replies and my bank is treating them as a scam business, which it is and getting my full amount back to me.

I would actually like to give them 0 star for their poor customer service and absolutely poor quality products.
Yes, they say we have to return to China for $40 +$15 for each item!! I bought 6 pieces for $345 (on sale! What a farce!). Mind you, the sender was Yanwen, Chullora NSW. So clearly despatched from Sydney and not from China. Btw, my daughter in law showed me exactly the same clothes (same models too) for $14.95 on Temu!
They also were trying to tell me they are very sustainable and save the environment (selling rags). I was told I have saved a tree if I keep the clothes and if I don’t like it I can re-gift !!!
So, considering I only shop on line, this is the first time I am having a nightmare with return.
Yet, on their website stating 30 days returns…
Warning for future potential customers : please re-consider buying from this company as their business practices are fraudulent to the core.

Waited ages for delivery and when it arrived literally half the items weren't sent! The items I did try on were all 2 sizes too large. They have stopped responding to emails as I need to return goods and also get refund for items that they didn't send. Will likely have to dispute with credit card company

Drop shipping from china - very poor quality and says its Elle Melbourne when it is not - returns are to China and they are charging a fee sizes are way smaller than they would usually be therefore more likelihood of returning and then they try to convince you to take a 20% refund instead of returning it to China. Its not a scam as such but its misleading and the quality is crap.

This company is misleading. The clothes I received were cheap knockoffs of the garments I looked at on line. No tags to identify material used in the clothing.
No size tags. The material itself definitely NOT worth the money I paid nor is its construction, which is basic at best. Please do NOT purchase from this company.

After waiting 3 weeks for my parcel to be delivered (meant to come from Melbourne - it clearly didn't as post label says NSW) I open up a jumper that I paid $60 for - might I add that was 50% off - RRP is normally $120. The quality of this jumper is something I would expect of Shein or Temu, not a website which claims to be "australian based". The jumper is awful material, the pictures and name of product all say that the graphic on the jumper is embroidered but it is printed. The colour of the jumper and also the printing is so far from the pictures its actually a joke. The sizing is also extremely off even after using their size guide the product was way too small. After emailing customer service straight after I opened the package, of course I cannot get a free refund, I would have to pay $40 for international postage back to china on top of another $15 handling fee! Their customer service emails are all clearly AI also. I am very disappointed!!

Drop shipping from China - if you want to return they are claiming they will charge you shipping back to China, $15 handling fee, customs fees of up to $40 (yes Aussie dollars) plus costs of return with tracking. Item is terrible quality and looks nothing like what the website claims. $65 linen pants would be $2.50 on Temu - putting Melbourne in the title to scam buyers into thinking it's Aussie isn't illegal but misleading.

If I could give minus stars I definitely would! Do NOT i mean do NOT buy from them!! Absolute scammers. I bought 2 cardigans for my grandmother which were stated that they were cashmere. To my suprise it had not even 1% of cashmere in it. They said they would offer me a 30% credit to shut me up. The items cost me $200!!! After telling me that it would cost $40 to refund plus another $15 per item on top so $70 to ship back. Off course they dont state this on their website. I am so angry my grandmother is so upset. She has spent $200 on polyester crap that is going to the bin. They do not even bother replying to my emails, they have basically stolen money from an 84 year old woman, absolutely disgusting!!!! Go to shein at least refunding is easier and smoother. Oh and off course they are NOT based in Melbourne. Disgusting fraudulent people that need to be shut down. They were supposedly closing down and now they are not. Seriously nothing but liars

If you advertise Australia in your name then follow Australian standards . Please don’t support this business it’s a total scam . Pruducts are inferior and don’t match with descriptions .Products are worse than temu , all Chinese made . When you request a return they make you pay more than the product to send back to china . In the end to get the problem fixed I reluctantly and regretted excepting a refund of a percentage of the total amount . I have thrown the crap in the bin where it belong .
Please support bricks and mortar businesses . Go to a shopping center and browse for better quality of products. Where the profits stay in Australia and not overseas .

Total scam. Shoes are not leather. They claim to be a Melbourne company, but when I needed to return my shoes because that were too small, suddenly I am told they need to be returned to China even though postage label shows they were posted from NSW! That offered a discount on my next purchase and to plant a tree - probably in China!!!

Elle-Melbourne is a cheating website online sale terminal.
All products coming are fake, far away from the photos on their website, Leather shoes marked AUD $200, worth no more than $10 as they are coming in fake man made material , not leather at all , and they request you return to China storage by paying postage fee by client, and charge you admin fee, total fee plus together could be more than the cost of itself. They also convince you not to return but give it to someone else to avoid the refund inconvenience.

The shop address was marked in Melbourne on one time with no contact phone number , but from May 2025 they updated their website location to Belgium. This is totally a fake website. Email sent no reply. Bad service and nasty ethic.
Purchase made 26 Mar , product arrival 16 April 2025, now the refund still not in processing to now 12 Mar 2025.

DO NOT USE THIS SITE

They are not in Melbourne. Took 2 weeks to receive a jacket I ordered and was sent the wrong one. Trying to contact customer service and nothing. Scam site. I am going to report to Fair Trading.

My order has now been delivered .It took a while however it did arrive this morning 12th May 2025 .Thank you Elle for coming through .

THIS COMPANY IS DODGY!!!
They lead you to believe they are an Australian based company, but products are shipped directly from China and the head office is in Belgium.
I had to contact them for tracking information 5 days after placing my order. The tracking information was never updated during the 4 weeks I waited for my parcel (after the first 2.5 weeks I kept being told it would only be 24-48hrs) and the supposed local delivery company did not receive the items until well after they were supposed to have arrived (they had the shipping information but not the goods). It was only after I demanded a full refund that my items “mysteriously” appeared.
The quality of the products is absolutely appalling and unwearable.

I would never deal with Elle Melbourne again and I would definitely not recommend that anyone looking for quality products purchase from them. They should not be allowed to trade in Australia as they are skating very close to violating numerous consumer laws.
