I discovered Elitax when, as an American, I was looking for help in filing my first French tax return during the first year of the pandemic. Since then, they have consistently provided me with competent, timely and cheerful service. I particularly appreciated their help in dealing with the repeated errors the French income tax office made handling my tax returns. Starting a new business in a foreign country is a daunting task, especialy when you don't speak the native language. I was referred to Elitax by the local chamber of commerce because the founder spoke English. I was one of the company's first customers, when they did not even have their own office. My husband and I have been moving around a lot (have two different citizenships, recently separately lived in two other countries, now in France), and it was very difficult to file taxes on our own. After dealing with another firm for a while, we switched to Elitax after a free consultation. The fee was higher but it was totally worth it as it saved us a big headache. Our tax consultant Irma is so professional and patient, and we will be using the service again this year.

I was very happy with the service provided by Elitax: both Irma and Stéphanie were quite kind, helpful and responsive, the whole process was well-planned and smooth, my declarations were filed precisely and on time. Great service, clearly recommended!

Agency missed multiple scheduled calls. Went long past tax submission date. Failed to respond to multiple emails. I gave up and just threw my 50% deposit away.

Interestingly, they replied to this review saying they would reach out to me "soon", it's now been a month and they have just updated their response (without changing the content) to not look bad, their original response was dated 16/04/2023

Followup 06/08/2023: It is worth noting that no one at Elitax has reached out to me via phone or email, their immediate feedback of "soon" seems to be about as soon as the original services they promised me, their communication is absolutely awful and I cannot recommend any more strongly that you find somewhere else for tax assistance than this company.

While I was and expatriate in US and after that when I came back to France but had to navigate through the details of double taxation…etc, I hired Elitax to assist me. Eliane and her team are great advisors for those who need tax declaration assistance. They are very experienced, understand all the details of the various tax rules and allow you to confidently submit your taxes.
They are always available for support and to provide great advice.

I used Elitax to cover returns for a 3 year period. When I approached at first it was due to the fact I was leaving France (as a pay as you go tax payer) but received a significant tax bill. They reviewed and advised that in fact I would not need to pay but got a 4 figure reimbursement aswell (saving me over 14,000). I then retroactively submitted a number of years returns with them. Excellent service, very responsive and gave me a-lot of piece of mind that my taxes were in order while saving me money! Used from 2019 - 2022

When I discovered that as American retiree, living in France on a Temporary Visitors Visa, I was obligated to file a French tax return, I was more than taken aback: I was completely ignorant of the fact that even as a temporary resident, I was required to declare my foreign income. I knew I didn't have French taxes to pay because I file and pay my taxes in the US; France and the US have a tax treaty that prevents double taxation. I found Elitax online, made an appointment, and was taken in hand by a team of friendly professionals. Because I hadn't declared my revenue nor my US bank accounts for three years, in principle I could have been penalized a lot of money for non-compliance of the French tax rules. Elitax wrote a letter to the French tax authority describing my situation and explaining that my non-compliance was not because I was trying to avoid my French tax obligations.
Everything was done online; I was able to scan and send all the information Elitax needed to file my declarations. I have to say that some of the forms were NOT user friendly; Formulaire 3916 was particularly troublesome and incredibly frustrating and I hope they find a way to improve it. After having entered information disappearing for unknown reasons, I ended up creating a document with the information and just forgot about the form.
At any rate, Elitax did a great job for me. Their fees are not inexpensive, but I think for the knowledge of French and US tax regulations, the price is justified. I would recommend them to anyone dealing with the French tax system.
