I had Josh as my dedicated consultant.
He was able to find me a position very quickly within a week or two.
There was some confusion over shouts worked but I believe it was a miscommunication from the school.

Overall Josh was extremely quick to respond and pro activate and I would recommend Ed-Ex and Josh !

This is my first review, so I'm unsure of how much I can type, But will try to fit this all in.

I applied for a role at a primary school around early June time 2023. Josh Haynes was my agent. We had a phone call interview as well as a zoom interview. Josh essentially told me that I was fantastic for this role, that my experience was perfect and it should be no problem finding me a job before I went back to university and that would work around my university hours. Keep that in mind.

July rolls around, and I am still in contact with Josh, and Ellie Martin helps me sort out my DBS. This review does not apply to Ellie, in fact, despite not being my agent, Ellie and I were in contact more than I was with Josh, and she was fantastic help and an absolute pleasure to be in contact with. Ellie is fantastic at her job. The only reason this review has a 2 star is because of Josh, which I should've given him none, but that wasn't unfortunately an option. If Ellie was my agent, this would have 5 stars. Please give this woman a raise, alongside Josh's job. At this time, Josh meanwhile is still giving me hope about job roles for September time.

It's now late July, and all contact I had with Josh had now disappeared, which should have been a tell-tale of what was yet to come. Josh does not reply to this email for another 3 weeks.

In August, Josh gets back to me explaining how he is trying to get me an interview for the first week back to school. I email Josh once again, but with no reply.

I email somebody else within the company late September after emailing Josh around the first week of school asking about my role with no response, and I in turn, had to start looking for other positions. They followed up with Josh, and they had assured me that Josh was still looking, but because of me being at university (something that Josh said would be no problem working around) meant that roles were not as common for my part time requirement. I reply back to the email, and have not heard anything from Josh Haynes since August, or the company since late September. It is now 2 days away from January 2024.

In summary, I still have no job with them, I still haven't heard from Josh since August and haven't heard from the company since late September, and I still was led on to thinking I would have a role for months when I could've found another job, but waited it out because of the false hope I was given. I should've found another role with another company, because whilst I was in my kitchen crying over not having a job, any money or any communication with the company for months, Josh Haynes was doing the worm in his office at 5am posted to his linkedin.

Before doubting this review, please bear this in mind. Yes, I understand that my requirements may have made role searching harder than looking for a full time role. Yes, I understand that a job wasn't going to be found instantly. Yes, I understand that staff are looking for multiple roles for multiple different people at one time.

However, I was told that I would have a role which they were to find before attending University. I was told that there would be no problem working around my schedule, which was 2 days a week at university. I was told that i would be a fantastic fit for the job, I was amazing around children and I was told that I was a very strong candidate. I was told all of this, then didn't have any communication or contact from them for months. The space between first communication up until now has been 6 whole months.

Please do not make the same naïve mistakes that I did. Because the likelihood of Josh telling you all of positive things, then forget about you in hopes you will find another job, is indeed, likely. Similarly, the likelihood of Josh Haynes doing the worm whilst you're worrying about not having a job is also, rather likely.

In conclusion, if you get Josh as an agent, good luck, you're going to need it :)

I found Edex a very professional yet friendly company. I was looking to get a first job in teaching after a career change, and approached EdEx because of their great reviews. They were just as helpful as everyone says! Holly responded to my initial enquiry email and we had a call the following day to talk through what I was looking for. She explained the process and helped me to sort out the necessary checks (references, DBS etc). George then sent over details of a school that met my requirements, which they had approached on my behalf. I had an interview the following week, which they helped me to prepare for. The interview went well, and I got offered the job, starting on Monday! The whole process took three weeks from my initial enquiry to my first day as a TA. EdEx were amazing: responsive, rapid, proactive, knowledgeable and supportive. I felt really well taken of and couldn't be more grateful for their help! Would highly recommend.

What can I say what a great company and even better great staff like Becca. I have experienced other recruitment companies that over ring my phone constantly, not caring about my needs! Talking down at me!
But not EdEx she has listened and understood my needs and what I’m looking for, she has been patient and so helpful, and very understanding and also not given up on helping me find the right job.

Ed ex are unlike any other agency I have worked with. I applied on a Friday and had an interview in Monday.
