They send back packages to the seller without calling you on delivery day, or contacting you in any way if you miss one delivery. Horrible service, the customer service cannot say anything, just say "sorry sorry", and when you file a dispute they don't even send an automatic mail confiming your complaint. Avoid their services because even if you get your package it's damaged, or you have to run two blocks to find the delivery guy because he didn't bother to call you and your intercom wasn't working. Also they make their workers call you on their PDA's which have suck terrible microphones that you wouldn't be able to hear it in an echo chamber.

It's probably one of the worst delivery companies out there. I have no idea how are they still in business. They were constantly lying about me not being home, and they even own me some money from a few years back for a package they have sent back... I have decided then to never pick them for delivery ever again.

My girlfriend ordered a package to me from a site I order frequently, I always pick DHL and they always deliver within 3 days, my girlfriend unfortunately picked DPD but ordered to my workplace so I would be able to pick it up for sure. After almost 2 weeks has passed today the package was finally out for delivery but seems like nothing have changed "The recipient was not found. A notification was left." which is insane because security always picks up the packages in case we already left.

So yeah they really should be out of business! What a joke of a company.

Посылка пришла на отделение, 2 недели ждал пока привезёт курьер, но каждый день статус обновлялся, что курьер, не смог доставить посылку (телефон и адрес было правильными), после 2х недель пришло сообщение, что курьер не может доставить посылку уже 2ой раз (хотя оповещение приходило каждый день в течении 2х недель, что посылка будет доставлена сегодня и потом опять статус менялся на "курьер не смог доставить") и она будет напрвлена на склад, где высможете её забрать. После получения этого сообщения, я поехал на склад, там сказали что посылки ещё нет и курьер её должен привезти на склад завтра (я думаю что он просто заблудился). Я приехал и на следующий день и наконец забрал посылку, но она была повреждена, жаль, что я обнаружил это только когда прибыл домой. Обертка была цела, но сама посылка не очень, выглядело что по ней проехал грузовик или что-то подобное, или на неё было поставлено что-то тяжелое.
Надеюсь я больше никогда не сталкнусь с DPD

2 days I got the email about "unsuccessful delivery" when NOBODY EVER CALLED ME OR RANG THE DOORBELL! I called the customer service at it was useless! Now it says I need to pick it up in the "closest" office which is more than 1 hr away from my location! Disgusting service!

Trehány banda! Aki teheti kerülje el őket. 3x is hiányos címzésre hivatkozva nem szállítják a csomagot. Az elsőt elhittem, módosítottam a megjegyzést, mert azt hittem az a zavaró. Másnapra datáltam a kézbesítést de akkor is ugyanolyan értesítést kaptam. Fel lettek hívva, hogy mégis mi a gond. Közölték a telefonszámot elírták. Én biztos nem, mert papírjaim vannak, hogy nézett ki a címzés (nyomtatott írás). A hívásról pedig hangfelvétel van. Megígérték a másnapi kézbesítést és a helyes adatok átadását a futárnak. Milyen érdekes újra azt írták, hogy a kézbesítés hiányos címzés miatt nem lehetséges. Tévedek ha azt mondom, hogy fizettem a szolgáltatásért? Nem. Mint ahogy abban sem, hogy ezeknek futárstikliknek jogi következményei lesznek, mivel a csomag biztosított, majd szépen leverik az értékét rajtatok.

Charging extra for no reason, not delivering.

This time they charged me with an additional amount, saying package was over the limits. Was not...

Last year they did not deliver my package, because there was no available space at the parcel automat and without any notification they just sent it back.

After all I have to spend a lot of time to claim my money back.

Sometimes they look like a cheaper option, but does it worth it? For me not anymore

Unfortunately, I cannot give below 1 because DPD’s service is clearly not worth even 1.
My package was supposed to be delivered within 5 business days. After constantly tracking the package on their website, I noticed they are bunch of liars. They wrote that my package couldn’t be delivered 2 times. No one called me nor came to deliver. I waited at home on purpose for that delivery because I didn’t know the exact time they were coming and I didn’t wanna miss them. I had to call the customer service, after waiting for days. They told me that I had to pick up myself the package at their depot ( which is quite far and hardly accessible by public transportation).
Not even a word of explanation. They just chose to not deliver and clearly lied about it.
Few minutes after picking up the package, I got an email that my package was successfully delivered. 😒😒😒 BS… knowing that I am the one who went all the way to pick it up.

I'm not even sure how they can call this a "service". They never deliver their packages by the next business day, if you are lucky you'll receive it within a week. And that is when you are lucky.
The fact that this "service" is priced as the same as other companies like GLS & MPL is just the cherry on top.
If I ever plan on ordering anything from now on, and DPD is the only shipping option there, I'll just pick it up at the store, that's how unthrustworthy and unreliable this company has become.

13/01/25 update: on second attempt I received my delivery, presumably because I called customer service in advance and provided additional details (doorbell number, floor, door number and Hungarian phone number). According to the customer care, the lack of these details is what prevented the first delivery attempt (however my name is clearly indicated on the doorbell, so I am not sure why this is the case).
According to customer care, it is possible to enter these details by clicking on the tracking/modification "button" on the DPD email, crucially without the need for a confirmation code, which is not sent to non-Hungarian mobiles. I cannot say whether that really works, and whether the delivery would really take place, but I guess it's worth a try...

10/01/25. Unacceptably low standards. DPD Hungary couriers consistently fail to deliver packages (to a central Budapest address) and falsely report having attempted a delivery which never took place. The problem is compounded by a very unresponsive and uninterested customer service (both via phone and email) and the very remote location of the pick-up warehouse. It is shocking that such an inadequate service with such an arrogant an uninterested attitude towards its clients can survive on the market anywhere in Europe. I actually avoid purchasing from merchants who deliver through DPD Hungary, and I will report to the international courier who consigned my package to DPD Hungary for last mile delivery that they need to change partners..

Literally the worst of the worsts. The tracking says the delviery was unsuccesful, however they didn’t even try to deliver my package. I was at home - they didn’t even call me on the phone. Avoid them at all costs!

The worst ever. They simply do not deliver packages but sent it back to the sender without any notification!!

I would give below zero star. 1 star is too much for that horrible service provider. I receive packages regularly from different other providers without any issue, but in case of DPD, they always claim we are not home or address not correct. Fully not true as we are always home! ..what a disaster!

I have lived in Hungary more than 7 years and out of probably 15 packages sent to me by vendors, 2 were lost, several were not delivered due to the excuse we were not home, when we were or they claimed the address on package was wrong. Today they used the excuse we were not home. we were, we were outside all morning. They never came. we saw Magyar Posta and GLS. I willNEVER use DPD for anything again because they are unreachable by telephone and seldom reply emails.

They simply do not deliver the package, they don’t even try! Just email you to say you have 2 days to pick up your package from a distribution center 10km from your address. Wtf?

Courier driving to delivery place and then just leaves the place (with no call to phone or doorbell), explaining it that on the package was no delivery data (which seems already unreal)...and refuses to drive back to deliver the package. Also support is awful you need to be on the phone for more than 30 minutes and someone will answer you if you are lucky.

Worst company ever. Failed 3/3 package to deliver (wrong address, phone number, shipping back to the country of origin without trying to contact you). Ridiculous.

Don't even think about sending anything with dpd...completely unprofessional...
