Got a strange email that looked like spam, and little did I know, it would be the start of bringing in some extra money for my unused domain. Did research here and on Reddit to confirm it was legit before responding. Very simple process. The only pain point was my current domain host releasing the domain (5 days / and not Domain Agent's responsibility). Even with that wait, completed the sale within 7 days. They also credited my provided bank account within 24 hours of the sale closing. Buyer covers any fees, so as a seller, it was a no-brainer.

I forgot to renew my domain name with Wix originally. A month later I saw that it was already used by another agency (Domain Agents). The website was under my full name: ledadaroczi.com

It is not a domain name that I can see someone else wanting to use or benefit from as it has no meaning to others. Once visiting the website I could see it's now a faux page for LED lighting services. Once I try to navigate on the site, there is no real information on it and it's not related to any specific company. There is a clear option to be able to buy the website for a starting price of $200.

In conclusion, the reason for my original domain's unavailability is simply for me to buy the name back from them, which there's no chance I will be doing.

They said the owner never replied but if I increased my offer it would be good. I replied that they are being paid to contact the owner and submit the offer not ask me to offer more to help them do their job! And then I get email that my "time to make contact" has expired! I felt they did zero to actually contact the owner. After complaining the company gave me a full credit, so that was commendable.

I had very low hopes for being able to contact the domain name owner, but domainagents.com actually found them and were very helpful throughout the whole purchasing process. I would use this service again.

DA takes money for nothing. No communication from the owner during the whole period (aprox month) . DA representatives keep silent untill they're kicked by e-mail. Got back money paid only after several reminders. A bit disappointing.
