We were extremely pleased with the service we received from everyone at Cunningtons. The communication from Paul was clear throughout the house buying process, by email, via the app and on the phone so we always knew where we were in the process. Paul supported us throughout and whenever we had a question he was on hand to answer promptly and thoroughly. We had several queries we wanted investigating prior to completing and Paul ensured this was all done in a very timely manner. We would highly recommend Cunningtons, especially to first time buyers as were guided and advised at every step.

Rachel was excellent throughout the whole house purchasing process. Replies were swift and I didn't really need to chase, she was very helpful if I had queries, whether it was over the phone or via email. She arranged all the policies etc. that I would need due to buying a listed building. I was expecting it to be really stressful but each step of the process went smoothly.

We put our property on sale in April 2023 and used cunningtons solicitors in High Street Croydon. Harpreet Virdi was assigned to the sale of the house. The first sale fell through which was very stressful for us but Harpreet was very helpful and professionally through the process of the sale. Selling a property can be very difficult from when we bought our first property but she explains the process and help us to get the property sold.

We put our probate property on the market nearly 18 months ago, using the Chelmsford branch of Cunningtons as our conveyancer, and had three sales fall through before we finally sold with the fourth buyer.

In all that time our solicitor, Sarah, and her team did truly sterling work in what was as a really stressful time for us. Phone calls were returned promptly. Emails were dealt with either on the same day, or the next day. We felt that Sarah et al were providing us with a personal service, rather than just a blank corporate entity.

There were times when I got stressed and would moan at Sarah, and her team. But at ALL times they were professional, courteous and did their best to keep things moving in the right direction.

As well as Sarah, I would also like to give a huge shout out to Lynsey who did sterling work on our behalf. Near to the end of completion I did bend Lynsey's ear a couple of times, as I was getting really stressed out by then (once again, Lynsey, my apologies!). She handled it really professionally, and then phoned me back later each time to give me updates.

I cannot speak for other branches of Cunningtons, but certainly as far as the team in Chelmsford is concerned, I would have ZERO hesitation in recommending them as conveyancing solicitors.

Rachel at the Chelmsford branch was a great help every step of the way. Challenges were made to feel like minor inconveniences as Rachel was so on top of everything. I will say that the quote we received was more expensive than other providers of the conveyancing services, but we were in good hands throughout the process and we received a professional but friendly service throughout.

A very poor experience, solicitors can’t be bothered to meet you face to face as they are too comfortable working from home, a totally impersonal experience and easy money for the solicitor. Avoid if you can !

Our overall experience was positive and Surinderpal was always very helpful and professional. The transaction took longer than anticipated and it could sometimes be difficult to contact anyone but on the whole, the experience was good.

I used Cunningtons Hornchurch branch for my purchase mortgage and they were very transparent in their process and kept us updated. They not only worked on the purchase mortgage but also helped us when our buy to let mortgage (which we were doing simultaneously) solicitors had some system issues on the completion day. I would definitely recommend them.

We needed a very fast conveyance of 5 weeks from start to finish to obtain our new house. There were 5 parties in the chain and the work required to keep all parties on track with a view to completing in 5 weeks was considerable. There were two solicitors representing Cunningtons. Firstly, there was Tahira Khan - she completed the paperwork, ie searches, general enquiries etc in record time and kept ourselves, other parties' Solicitors and Estate Agents all on side. Over a period of 3 weeks Tahira prepared everything ready for exchange during the fourth week and completion during week 5. Tahira was on leave for week 4 and she left a comprehensive set of notes for her temporary cover. Tahira was substituted by Ravi Kale an extremely capable locum solicitor. The week to contract exchange needed someone who was cool but firm and in control and indeed someone who knew exactly what she was doing. Ravi Kale was perfect for this role and she was thorough, guided us through to contract exchange during week 4 explaining everything step by step as we went along. Both Tahira and Ravi are a credit to Cunningtons Solihull office especially their friendly and accommodating manner and their efficient way of working. We could not have achieved the conveyance of a chain of five within 5 weeks without their help.
