Thankfully Cobia were very professional in dealing with my issues. The problem was resolved expeditiously and to my full satisfaction.

Wanted to give a special thank you to Mohammed Ajmal for his help and picking up my queries on short notice. I have to agree with the other comments that quality of service has definitely dropped at Cobia Accounting over the last few weeks but I have now been provided with a new accountant (Mohammed Ajmal) who has helped to resolve my outstanding queries and emails.

During all my exposure to Mohammed Ajmal I always found him to be professional, efficient and pleasant and I am happy to recommend Cobia to anybody who would require the services that they provide.

Cobia were my accountants between April 2018 and November 2020.

Initially they were great, efficient, responsive and held my hand through transitioning from Sole Trader to Ltd company. For a long time I had no issues and they provided an excellent service.

However problems started in 2019, and mistakes were made. A mistake on my corporation tax return this year could have cost me an extra £900 tax had I not noticed the error. Payslips were sketchy at best, and despite highlighting my lack of them several times the issues were never resolved. I was also advised the incorrect amount to pay myself for the 2020/2021 period - again this could have caused implications with National Insurance had it not been picked up before year end.

In the end I decided to move to a new accountant, the transition has been straightforward and Cobia have been helpful (if a little slow) in providing information to my new accountant. However they sent me another companies transaction details with my last VAT return (a GDPR issue), and are dragging their heels filing my self assessment.

I would hesitate to reccomend the company to my friends, which is a shame as when I joined them I had no complaints.

He is a very dedicated hard working professional who is very efficient, prompt and ready to turn around your accounts in 24/7 if need be.
I have been dealing with him over several years and has never disappointed me at all. He is always ready to listen act immediately and can trust him, he will honour your anxiety in a professional manner He is always the same polite friendly although I have never met him and do not need to because I am happy dealing with him remotely

A nightmare to get the Professional Clearance from them, they made huge mistakes in my accounts and did not offer any support to my new accountant to fix it. Careful if you change the accountant and do double check what they are doing.
