Hi I am starting to think I have been scammed. Had a phone call from Olivia at classic models, I was told I had got thru to the next level after sending two photos of myself I paid £50 deposit and my photo shoot is supposed to b Friday 25 October at 1pm at 10-11 d'arblay Street but when I have checked it out ,that address is called Hibbert ralph animation. Have I been scammed of £50

I wish I read all the reviews before I got to that photoshoot.
I was invited ( paid £50) to Soho studio for a fashion shoot
After the shoot, had a really friendly gent Kane to convince me to pay them for images taken on the day and representation - promised tones of work, very flexible to suit my preferences etc..
Well that was on the 9th of August , I am yet to hear from them... number always engaged, no one ever gets back to you..
E-Mail is pre populated with reply that" due to an increased volume of inquiries our response may take up to 2 days"... signed by Avery Davis - a Ghost !
Stay clear of the SCAMMERS I am actually initiating a legal action in small claims court against them !

Phone call - promising all sorts of work with high street brands. Contract - not so much. Lots of hidden charges not explained on the phone. £25 to reschedule photo shoot, £135 to pay for studio if I cancel. £50 if I was any images. They are not an agency. Their instagram account is sketchy, no current company on companies house, lady I spoke to was the same one I was apparently put through to - didn't even disguise her voice. Asked for the name of the stylist - was told Susan. Asked for the name of the photographer - didn't answer. I've sent an email asking a lot of pertinent questions. I've raised a dispute with paypal. I'm not hauling a suitcase full of outfits from Yorkshire to London for 9am on Tuesday to be told I'm not what they're looking for. I've enough content online so they can see for themselves. I strongly suggest they find another more ethical way of earning a living - hope that was helpful

It is a sophisticated fraud. I was contacted by a female who called herself Almira from Almira Classic models. She passed me at first stage, took £50 as refundable deposit for £500 free photoshoot to promote me for
modelling. Google does not show anything called Almira
Classic models. For so called free photoshoot I was given the address of A Photo Studio.
When the photo shoot was done I was made to buy.a portfolio of £675 by an alleged agent of Classic Models and
told that they are not an agency but a platform which has contact with 120 agencies and assured that the account manager will send my photos to all of them to get me jobs ,she will email me and then talk to
me on phone within a week. Nothing has happened so far.
Instead I received an email from choice model management representation very
unprofessional email asking for £180 deposit. I enquired the source of my contact and next day had a very rude call telling
me that she was doing me a favour and had nothing to do with Classic models. I have
raised queries with classic
models as to why I had to buy the portfolio which was free
photo shoot but have not received a response. All numbers and emails are directrd to A Photo Studio. Email of classic models when copied and pasted does not remain the email address. It is a criminal fraud by Photo studio which has some people claiming to be classic models. It was never disclosed to me that to each of the 120 agencies with which they claim to have contact will also charge me. I was told classic model will earn by commission from the jobs they get me but choice management say they will charge commission SO WHO ARE CLASSIC MODELS-CULPRIT A PHOTO STUDIO. IT IS POLICE MATTER.

I do not know from who this reply is , I never had any agreement that I will have to pay £675 to the Photo Studio for the free shoot arranged by Almira Classic Agency which I cannot trace. I have asked my bank to recover the money and have also reported to the Action Fraud . Ref NFRC 2410066927606. A Photo Studio, 10-11 D'Arblay Street W1F 4DS are scamming people who appear tombe behind facebook advertsiement and making callls in the name of Almira Classic Models

I was put through to a woman called Almira who sounded the same person who had contacted me on 23 September. I told her that I had a call from Susan and she told me that for the £500 agency pays to A Photo Shoot they receive nothing for that . She took over and would never let me talk about it and now she told me that they do not pay £500 to A Photo Shoot which is different from what she had told me on 23 September. I questioned her that what Susan told me that if the person for who £500 photo shoot is paid if that person does not buy images from A Photo Studio then they lose £500 she would not let me tell her that in the event of the person not buying images they cannot get anything. She tried to change the conversation and I had to tell her that if she was not prepared to listen to me then I have to end the conversation. She shouted you are crazy and cut the call. During the conversation she admitted that Jordan Harper has given me false information that Almira Classic Models are at 18 Soho Square W1D 3QD

I saw an advert on Instragram asking for mature models for Classic Models, so I applied and recieved a phone call within 2 days from Eey a lovely lady who made me feel at ease and had a lovely conversation with her and arrange a photo shoot the following friday at 16.00 in Soho London, I had a few questions and Aey answered them all to put my mind at ease at what I should expect.
I had a wonderful day at the photo shoot.
Since coming back from the photo shoot I had a few questions to ask and no questions were left unanswered, fabulous team at Classic Models.
If unsure give it a go , I am just updating my review I havent had any work at all from this company and cannot find them on Companies House either do not give money to these peoole who promise work , keep away

I have just checked my forehead and could not find the word scam written on it. You even got the name of the train station where you are based wrong and Soho is not near Euston

The moment I walked in everyone was so welcoming,happy a smiley,the vibes were perfect. The makeup artists and photographers,were amazing. Definitely highly recommend if you want to have a career in modeling.

Complete scam. A guy phoned me rattled on about how much money I could make on marks n Spencer shoots bla bla bla. I couldn’t get a word in edge ways. Then the classic dropped. Him asking for a £50 deposit..
I told him it was a scam and they shld not be asking for money upfront.
Please please don’t fall for this nonsense. A
Model agency company do not ask for money up front.

My experience is like the other negative experiences on here.
Contacted and told I was down to the final 5. 45 minute interview with Dayne who was very pleasant, but pushy, and was very keen to get a date booked in for next week for a casting photo shoot.
I explained I wouldn’t be available to travel to London until end of October and all of a sudden the £50 deposit was doubled with no explanation given.
Of course, alarm bells rang when asked for a holding deposit which would be returned on completion of the casting shoot.
Emails came through ( in spam folder ) whilst on the call and I was asked to pay the deposit there and then.
I said I would like to thoroughly read the emails and terms and conditions and I would respond with my decision.
After checking out these trust pilot reviews, I emailed stating I did not wish to take this any further.
Please be aware that model agencies DO NOT ask for a deposit to secure jobs for you!
Apparently my pics had been reviewed by him and his team, but he still asked my hair colour and length, eye colour, size and age.
Huge pressure to confirm my reliability and that I wasn’t a “time waster”

I believe this is a ruse to entice people to attend the “free” photo shoot and then purchase the expensive portfolio pics package with no chance of getting a booking for work.

Their email correspondence also raised alarms. It is poorly written, badly punctuated and full of grammatical errors.

Please proceed with caution and if looking for genuine modelling work , register with a reputable agency.

Scam - This is a front for photo studio. They want to use pressure selling techniques to provide you with a set of overpriced pictures, which will not benefit your modelling career.

There is no misunderstanding on my part, I've been modelling for 15 years and I'm very familiar with the scam your pulling. Anyone wanting to go into modelling can approach an agency directly with well lit unedited snaps. They do not require a 'middle man' selling them overpriced pictures that will be no benefit to them!

I answered an advert for mature models on Facebook. I received a call (very noisy background) which apparently was an interview. They said they had seen my pics on Facebook. Lots of time and questions and then put on hold whilst they made a decision. I asked whether any money was required up front and was told no. I passed the ‘interview’ Then a ‘free’ photoshoot was arranged and I was told I had to pay a £50 refundable deposit to stop time wasters. Alarm bells went off in my head and I said I wasn't prepared to do that and I hung up the phone. On checking the address for the photoshoot I see that it is a building of serviced offices and flats. Very suspicious

Classic models are NOT an agency as others have said..they are are platform that will help you get work via an agency...so anyone that thinks they are shafting you as an agency are totally wrong. Yes you need to pay £50 that is refundable to ensure you turn up. At no time are you under pressure to purchase anything.. I was given my photos on a stick. It was a fun few hours doing the photo shoot. If you do get work from.an agency no you won't pay anything ... so people don't go with the idea they are charging you as an " agency" they are not. I agree they need not to be so aggressive when they make initial contact.. but I just told them to back off a little.

After initially requesting more info on an advert, I received an informative phonecall next day and was able to make an appointment very swiftly in the following few days.i received detailed emails what to expect and what outfits to bring for a test photoshoot.
I had a follow up call the evening befire photoshoot to check if I'm still comfortable to ho ahead or if I had questions.
I was only billed £50 as deposit to make sure a photographer was not booked for a no-show, but would be re-imbursed if I turn up.
A stylist was on site to put together 6 different outfits from my selection if clothes that I brought with me.
A make up and hair artist prepared me for every different look and photos were taken inside and outside of the friendly photo studio in London Soho to allow a variety of photos for a portfolio.
I was made aware how classic models works with many model agencies together, who can offer a variety of fashion, commercial and for extras in film and TV job opportunities.
I was offered a variety of options how to use the photos as portfolios to send out to agencies even opportunity to set up a personal website that would be updated after each job with new photos from the jobs. All depending how committed one wants to work as a model. There was no obligation to buy the photos if you did not want to go ahead.

After clicking on an instagram ad for mature models I was contacted by Vee asking me to send him some selfies.
The call and conversation that then took place sounded very similar to the ones described by others ie in the last five, call put on hold to be told your through to the next stage, bring seven outfits etc etc. I was almost convinced before I was asked to pay a refundable £75 deposit.
It seems like a lot of effort for £75. We were on the phone for an hour. Maybe the big scam is when you get to
London!

I was at the studio in D’Arblay Street in London on Tuesday 20th August. I spoke briefly to a lady who was also there for a “test shoot” If you see this please get in touch.

I have not received my photos or any of the services I’m supposed to.
Classic Models are not returning my calls or emails.

A few alarm bells rang whilst on a call with the 'Head director' which sounded like the call was made from a call centre because I could hear other calls in the background.
I was given an 'interview' which I wasn't expecting! I was then put on hold whilst she 'spoke' to someone to decide if I would be successful enough to make it to the next stage.. Low and behold she came back after a couple of minutes and congratulated me on being successful! I was sent numerous emails with my invite for a 'free' photoshoot in London, the address, suggestions for the 7 outfits for the shoot etc... All seemed to move very quickly not giving me the chance to think. All this was happening whilst she was on the phone to me, asking me to check my emails to make sure all details came through ok. THEN... came the part where she said that a few of £75 would need to be paid which would be refunded once I turn up to the studio for the photoshoot for my portfolio, she explained that this is to stop time wasters. She wanted me to pay it there and then via PayPal whilst she was on the phone. Huge alarm bells now!!! So whilst she chattered on I searched the company to see if they were legit and if there were many reviews, during this she asked a few times if I had received the confirmation from my PayPal so that she could get my application processed etc.. I blurted some crap about my PayPal not working at the moment. Like I said, she was talking so much that I couldn't think of a good enough excuse as to why I wasn't making a payment. I managed to get off the call with her so that I could 'sort out my PayPal issue' She said that she was going to call me back soon, but my gut is telling me that this is a scam!!!
SO PLEASE BEWARE!!!!!
I have done modelling in the past and NEVER paid a penny for ANY of the photoshoots that I did.

Pursued quite hard having made initial contact. When I agreed to a call, it sounded like a call centre given the noise in background. Call didn’t happen at arranged time (nearly 2hrs later) and this was because she was in a ‘big meeting with M&S that ran on’. First red flag for me. Lady was quite aggressive in her tone, and told me this was my ‘interview’ and would take about 30 mins. There had been no mention of an interview. I pushed hard to ask before starting if any money for photos etc would be asked from me. She said no. Then said a refundable £50 would be required to stop time wasters. I said I was uncomfortable with this and that something just didn’t sit right with the entire experience and I was left feeling distrustful. She pretty much hung up the phone. I would advise extreme caution and don’t agree to giving over any personal details, bank info or paying anything up front. If a legit model agency wants you, they will cover costs and not ask for fees or money up front for photos.
