I had the pleasure of being assisted by Gurgita during my recent visit to Clarks, and I can’t speak highly enough of her customer service. From the moment I walked in, she greeted me with genuine warmth and professionalism, instantly making the experience feel personal and stress-free.
Gurgita was incredibly knowledgeable about the products, patient while I explored options, and attentive to every detail—ensuring I found exactly what I needed. What really stood out was her ability to balance efficiency with care; she never rushed the process, yet everything felt smooth and well-managed.
It’s rare to come across someone who makes you feel truly valued as a customer. Gurgita did just that, and more. She’s a credit to the Clarks team, and I’ll absolutely be returning thanks to her outstanding service.

Naya was absolutely fabulous in how helpful and friendly she was. We’ve been using Clarks for our children’s shoes for best part of 18 years and in that time we’ve usually had good service but she was the GOAT as far as we’re concerned. An asset to any business.

I had a great experience at the Clarks…
I had a great experience at the Clarks store in Bedford. I was greeted upon arrival and seen within 5 minutes. Naya completed the measurements for my younger brother. Naya has great customer service skills! Super friendly and warm and built great rapport with me. This is refreshing to see in customer service. To add, throughout being there, Naya would check to make sure I was being looked after and I consider this thoughtful.
Aaron provided a wide range of options for shoes and whenever I would ask to try for different sizes, Aaron would always accommodate and go back and forth. For example we wanted a pair of grey trainers, however they did not have the size we needed in store. Aaron found the same trainer in a different colour for us to try for size and we were able to order this for home delivery. Aaron was really interactive and I thought he was super helpful! Again good rapport
At the till there were some issues with the system however Scarlet supported her colleagues with this, which made for a smooth transaction.
I was really happy with service from this store and left with everything I needed!

Imani at the bedford store was very helpful and went over and above in making sure my daughter had the correct shoes for her 1st day of school.
I’d give them a 0 stars if I could
On a wet, miserable afternoon, my wife, child, and I arrived at Clarke’s Bedford Interchange at 4:35pm on Saturday 30th August —only to be met with locked doors and a deeply unpleasant encounter with a member of staff in striped top who I could only imagine was a supervisor or manager of some kind. What followed was not just poor service, but a masterclass in rudeness, arrogance and unprofessionalism.
The lady who had locked the doors was keeping guard, tried to ignore those waiting outside and knocking on the door, eventually she did acknowledge customers (getting soaked outside in the rain). However, she was dismissive, patronising, and openly “go away, come another day”—not just to us, but to multiple families & individuals waiting outside in the rain.
She advised me about a supposed “appointments-only” policy for the final few hours of the day. Yet, no signage was displayed, and no such policy exists at other Clarke’s stores (Birmingham, Milton Keynes, Cambridge, etc.) where I’ve shopped near closing time without issue. I’ve also checked with Clark’s online team who advised the same too. I can’t find anything on Copilot, ChatGPT or Gemini AI either.
From outside in, customers appeared visibly uncomfortable. What I can only assume as management or supervisors did not mind showing their disdain towards other colleagues - many of whom were helping customers. By disdeain, I could see the lady in striped top shouting and pointing at staff members yet just appeared to be unbusy herself except for her full time job of telling customers to go away I found this ladies passive-aggressive attitude and eye-rolling rather appalling.
Despite the 4 pairs of shoes I saw online showing as being in stock at the Bedford, and taking time out to travel to the store in poor weather, I left empty-handed. My money—and my loyalty—are better spent where customers are treated with dignity.
In a time when families are struggling with the cost of living, Clarke’s should be going above and beyond. Instead, this experience made me feel unwelcome, unheard, and deeply disappointed.
The management or supervisory team I encountered is ill-equipped to represent your brand Clark’s. It’s really sad to say write this as my previous experiences visiting this store in last 17 years has been nothing was then great.

Last minute school shoe shopping made less awful
The dreaded school shoe shop was hectic with lots of grown ups who regretted their decision to shop at the last minute.
The staff gave us our tickets, advised on wait times and the person who was measuring was professional and though. I felt assured my little cherubs toes would not be squished.
We were helped today by Amara and she handled the many questions and wiggling around from my bored and cheeky children like a pro.
They got great shoes and my 7 year old is delighted that her shoes are comfortable and stylish.
She also handles a stroppy 5 year old who did not want shoes with good humour and a stress free attitude.
Thank you Amara you are a credit to Clark’s and your customer support is brilliant.

We were at the Bedford store last Saturday for school shoe shopping for our picky 13 yo son. Ethan helped us find the perfect pair for him. He was patient and helpful. Thanks Ethan!

Even though it’s a few days before back to school the service was really fast. our server Ethan was very kind, thorough and patient at finding us shoes that fit and that the kids liked. We managed to find some shoes in store and figure out which size to order the other shoes in online. Great for growing feet!
