Bullies
Bullies.
Even when presented with irrefutable evidence that a parking charge was paid they still go after people with scary sounding court letters. Because they get a discount for bulk claims in the court and most of their processes and letters are automated they can steal peoples time and energy away on spurious claims at next to no cost to themselves.
Despicable.
What a bunch of cowboys jog on with…
What a bunch of cowboys jog on with your threats lol
Carlisle car park
Carlisle car park: paid at the terminal and received a parking notice 14 days later.
From the onset, it was not clear as to why the invoice was issued however as the notice read “failure to validate stay” I felt this indicates failure to purchase car parking ticket.
Appealed the charge via the Britannia process, this was rejected despite sending proof of ticket and again, no explanation received as to why the charge was issued.
Received a further letter which made reference to my plate (displaying no space between the letters and digits) headed up “major keying error”, I then appealed this via popla . Following submitting my appeal, Britannia parking “kindly” decided to confirm the last 3 letters of my plate were only inputted constituting as “a major keying error”. Due to this I lost my case with popla because once the appeal is sent, it can not be amended (tactical move from Britannia).
I opened a case on resolver due to the lack of communication from Britannia parking, filing a structured complaint: highlighting withholding information from me, fraudulently submitting the invoice and for breach of GDPR.
I paid my ticket, therefore no contract was “broken”
I returned to the carpark to check the payment machine was in good working order, it wasn’t and my full plate could not be inputted (backed up by video evidence).
Moving forward, Britannia parking instructed BL law to retrieve the outstanding balance of £170.00, I contacted BL law who confirmed Britannia parking “have withdrawn their request and that the case file is closed” without any explanation.
Britannia parking contacted me today stating the charge is formerly withdrawn due to an admin error, they deny causing me harassment, alarm and distress since April 2026 and due to this, I have a sent a letter before claim notice because I am now going to initiate county court proceedings for damages (plus costs and interest).
Avoid any Britannia car parks, they do not communicate and fabricate information to trick customers into paying highly inflated invoices.
If anyone reads this always appeal, do not ignore payment notices and use resolver as a back up.
Inept greedy morons
They tried to fine me £60 for spending less than an hour in a pub car park, I then had to raise an appeal as the correspondence they sent out was late meaning the charged jumped up to £100. They ever so graciously then lowered the fee back down to £60 and gave me two weeks to pay. I genuinely hope everyone affiliated with this company stubs their toes in the dark for the rest of their bleak existences
DO NOT USE!! 🛑

Paid for 3 hours parking in Knutsford (Canute Place)
…enjoyed a couple of hours..returned back home..and what comes through the letterbox..a parking fine 😳..disgusting!!

Would like to know how they can prove what they saying that I haven’t paid 🤔!
Terrible company…and after reading all the comments on here…sound like they are professional scammers!
Unfortunately this company have taken…
Unfortunately this company have taken over the parking for Fenwick department store in Colchester, there no tickets issued on entry it wrongly said car park full when it was empty and no facility to pay at the machine and the WhatsApp number provided was not taking any calls what a shambles we left and went somewhere else
I broke down and managed to get my car…
I broke down and managed to get my car into a slip road that went through a pub that used Brittania car parks to operate there parking .I didn’t actually pull into a parking bay .(They use cameras) to monitor parking
I checked with someone in the pub to see if I was ok not to pay and they said it was .I managed to get my car going and I was exactly 14mins according to the fine issued.I thought no more of it until 25 Days later I received a parking fine for £100
Reduced to £60.00 if I paid within 14 days ,I immediately sent an appeal in and 15 days on I’ve heard Nothing .According to the BPA
Which Brittania are a member of all people that have parking fines sent to them must be receive Notice of the fine within 14 days ,They sent me mine 25 days later .
They are an absolute Disgrace .
They should wear Black and white Striped jumpers and wear masks 😡
Defective ANPR cameras, statutory POFA breaches, and zero accountability
Britannia Parking trades on the slogan "The way we manage space means more," but their operational setup relies on automated traps and administrative intimidation.
At the Waterside Multi-Storey in Aylesbury, the upper tiers are operated by Buckinghamshire Council, while the ground floor is run privately by Britannia for Waitrose. Despite paying in full via JustPark for a 5-hour stay on the council decks, Britannia’s ground-level ANPR cameras captured my car simply driving up the entrance ramp and treated it as an unauthorised stay in their retail bays, issuing an aggressive £100 demand.
To make matters worse, they issued this notice 39 days after the date of travel—completely ignoring the mandatory 14-day statutory notification deadline under the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 (POFA) required to hold a registered keeper liable.
In the private parking sector, operators face zero financial or regulatory penalty for generating baseless charges, leaving innocent motorists to shoulder the stress, time, and administrative burden of disproving them. Many elderly or vulnerable drivers who have done nothing wrong are simply frightened into paying out of panic.
Operating an uncalibrated camera setup that snares paying municipal parkers and ignoring statutory timeframes demonstrates a total lack of fair dealing. Avoid car parks managed by this operator wherever possible.
No visable signage

Letter with fine did not get delivered to me until 21 days after fine notice was issued so unable to pay within the 14 days for a reduced fine.
Total bloody cowboys
It was an absolute nightmare for me and…
It was an absolute nightmare for me and my friend today and to what we experienced!
We activated Q-Park Go after a lot of attempts but it didn’t automatically take the payment as it should. Luckily we checked later and made sure we paid so we didn’t get a fine! It should NOT be this hard to pay for car parking! Also the car park foyer was in a disgusting state! As it had been used as a toilet it smelt revolting! I can honestly say I do not know what’s happened to this car as this first time I have been in a long time and it was always looked after!
Also to top it all off lifts were not working and the payment machines out of use!
I would never use this car park again!
Request to Pay Parking Session and Waiver of Any Penalty Fee Due to System Failure /Colchester 3624
I am contacting you regarding an issue I experienced today, Saturday 29th August 2026, at the car park managed by Number code 3624, near Fenwick in Colchester.
I parked at approximately 11:00am and attempted to complete the required payment process through your system. I followed the instructions provided, created/logged into my account, entered all the requested details, and proceeded to the payment stage. However, every time I attempted to complete the booking and pay by card, the system failed and displayed an error message, preventing me from completing the session booking.
As I was actively trying to pay, I went into the Fenwick store, which is located directly next to the car park, to ask whether other customers were experiencing the same issue. I was informed by a member of staff that many customers had indeed been reporting problems with the car park payment system and that others were also unable to complete their payments. I was advised that the car park is privately managed and that Fenwick staff were unable to resolve the issue.
I would like to make it very clear that I made every reasonable effort to pay for my parking session. The failure to complete payment was caused by a technical problem with the payment system, not by any refusal or failure on my part to pay.
I am requesting that you manually process my parking payment for the time I was parked today, from 11:00am until 2:00pm on Saturday 29th August 2026. I am happy to pay the correct parking fee for this period.
However, I do not accept any additional penalty, administration charge, or parking fee escalation, as I attempted to pay at the time and was prevented from doing so due to a system error.
I have photographic evidence, videos, and screenshots showing the error messages and the problems I experienced while attempting to complete the payment. I can provide these as evidence if required.
I kindly ask you to investigate this issue and confirm that my parking session will be charged correctly without any additional fees.
I look forward to your prompt response.
Kind regards,
Cecilia Moura

Medical emergency meant I had to park in their car park. Appeal rejected and clearly not even bothered to read it. I have appealed to POPLA. Disgusting shameful company.

Fraud and swindling. Always the way how make money
This was the most difficult and awkward…
This was the most difficult and awkward automated phone line I have ever used .Having parked on Poole quay in order to have a lovely evening out I felt stressed and very annoyed and it ruined my evening . I have no idea if I eventually entered my details correctly or not as it kept taking me back to the start, and meant that I was late as it took so long .What on earth was wrong with putting coins into a machine as in the old days .? I would have given up and parked illegally somewhere else but with number plate recognition one is trapped the moment one drives through the gate. I hate it and will never park there again and would give this minus 10 stars if that were an option.
Had pre booked parking..
Had pre booked parking... Upon arrival was told I need to get a ticket every day as pre-booked parking wasn't allowed! Applied for refund over a month ago... Haven't received anything.
Paid to park, still hit with a £100 “charge” for 25 minutes late collection
I paid to park, but when I returned 25 minutes after my paid time ended, Britannia Parking issued a £100 charge for collecting my own car. The delay wasn’t me ignoring anything—it was an ordinary situation where my walk on the cliffs at Flamborough ran longer than expected.
What makes it feel worse is the way they apply those thief-like penalty rates: a short overrun becomes a huge bill, with no real consideration of context or fairness. I then appealed, and they didn’t consider it at all—so the process feels one-sided.
There needs to be a law stopping parking firms from charging at this level for small, human errors, especially when the core requirement (paying to park) was met.
This is absurd and these company should be stopped to make money in this way
Absolute joke - avoid!!!!
Absolute joke and work in a way that even when you legitimately pay, they find a way to fine you! I would suggest never using any car park they are associated with!
Scum
Scum. Paid to park and they sent me a £100 fine. When i appealed and sent evidence of the parking ticket that i paid for and still have to this day, they had the audacity to discount my fine to £20. When i refused to pay it went back up to £100 and i had bailiff company’s harassing me.
Parked in a carpark on a remote housing…
Parked in a carpark on a remote housing estate to attend a community event. Didn't expect there to be parking charges (why would you?) and didn't see any signs to that effect. A few weeks later received a parking charge notice for £100, saying that I had parked longer than the maximum time, which arrived 14 days after the notice date and then didn't provide the option to pay at the cheaper amount of £60. As mentioned in numerous other reviews, this is obviously a deliberate tactic by the company to maximise their profits. Complete and utter scammers. Should be banned from obtaining DVLA data.
