Great Food, Great Customer Service and 4.7kg Down
Really positive experience overall with Bozu. The food itself has been great, and one of my favourites has easily been the Protein Banana Bread, the macros on it are absolutely nuts.
Since using Bozu, I’ve managed to lose 4.7kg overall, and having convenient meals that still fit my calories and protein goals has made sticking to my diet much easier.
The main issue I had initially was with DPD, as the deliveries could be quite inconsistent. However, Bozu were really helpful and sorted this out by changing my deliveries to Royal Mail, which has worked much better for me.
There were also a couple of occasions where I received the wrong items, but whenever this happened Bozu were quick to resolve it and send replacements. It actually meant I ended up with a few extra meals in the end, so I definitely can’t complain!
Overall, the customer service has been great whenever I’ve had an issue, the food is really good, and Bozu has genuinely helped me stay on track with my goals. I’ll definitely continue using them for the foreseeable future.

No working cancel button on the dashboard. I emailed on 21 August to cancel my subscription in writing, giving 7 days' notice as required by their own terms. They confirmed my order date but told me the cancel option wouldn't appear until 22 August — despite my written cancellation already being submitted. On 22 August the cancel button still wasn't there. Despite my written cancellation, they attempted to take payment from my account multiple times, including at 10:45pm and 00:30am. I had to contact my bank directly and block them to stop the payments, as they wouldn't stop themselves. I emailed again explaining the issue and asking for confirmation of cancellation — they replied asking me to send screenshots and to make no further changes to my account before they'd "investigate," rather than simply cancelling. This feels like a deliberate delay tactic. I've reported the company to Trading Standards.

I have been with Bozu for round 2 years now and they are by far the best meal preps I have ever had the taste and quality of every single meal is amazing and they are consistent every week. Terrible quality, broken packaging, undelivered orders, and unauthorized charge attempts! The plastic containers were broken inside, the food was stale and cold, and the meat was undercooked. My Sunday order was never delivered despite prepaying, and they automatically tried to recharge my card £124.70 after I cancelled. I am filing a chargeback with Lloyds Bank and reporting them to Trading Standards. Avoid this company!

We’re sorry to see your review, particularly as it contains a number of serious allegations that you did not raise with us at any point during your correspondence.
When you contacted us on 14 August, your request was specifically to cancel your subscription because you said you had not realised you had signed up to a subscription and only wanted to try the meals once. We explained the 7-day cancellation notice period and that the outstanding Week 2 payment would therefore still be due.
You then contacted us again on 16 August and specifically asked: “Will it definitely be cancelled after I pay for this one?”
We confirmed that the payment would be your final payment and that you would receive one final delivery, after which your subscription would be closed.
At no stage in any of these communications did you mention broken packaging, stale or cold food, undercooked meat or an undelivered Sunday order. These are serious allegations, and had you raised them with us at the time, we would have expected the opportunity to investigate them.
We are therefore disappointed that these claims have now appeared in a public review when they were never raised with us, particularly when our correspondence clearly records the reason for your cancellation and your understanding that the second payment would be the final one.
We have always been happy to address genuine customer concerns, but we also believe it is important that reviews accurately reflect the circumstances and the communications that actually took place.
Worst experience with a company
Worst experience with a company, communication is poor each order they never reply back to you after numerous attempts, problems with ordering system each week as they just reorder the same thing unless you change it by a certain date and time and even when you do update the order in time, on multiple orders never updated that week, so was sent the same order again week later, ended up cancelling my subscription due to too many errors over weeks of ordering and they charge me for another full week, even after email confirmation of the cancellation! I did get my refund back and offered a full weeks box free of charge but the cheek of it was asked to buy a full week to get this after all the issues!

We’re sorry that your experience with Bozu ultimately left you feeling this way. We accept that there were genuine issues with our ordering system and, at times, with our communication, and these are matters we have addressed internally.
However, we do feel it is important to clarify the timeline for anyone reading your review.
You were with Bozu for approximately four weeks, during which there were some genuine errors with your menu changes and deliveries. We investigated these issues, acknowledged the mistakes and applied a credit for nine meals to your account.
Importantly, on 12 April, after we had dealt with those issues, you emailed us to say:
“Thank you for sorting and coming back to me regarding this all.”
You also said that you appreciated the credit that had been applied. At that point, the issues you had raised had been addressed to your satisfaction.
Unfortunately, a further system error occurred on 16 April and a payment of £104 was taken after your cancellation had already been confirmed. We accept that this should not have happened and completely understand why this caused further frustration. You requested a refund, which we processed, and your account was then fully cancelled as requested.
We would also like to clarify one other point in your review. You state that you were offered a free week but were then asked to purchase a full week to receive it. That is not what was offered. You were given the choice of either receiving a refund for the payment taken or, if you wished to continue with Bozu, having that payment applied to your future meals together with the nine complimentary meals already credited to your account. You chose the refund, which we processed.
We are not going to pretend that everything was handled perfectly during your time with us, it wasn't, and we have taken responsibility for that. But we also believe the review should reflect the full sequence of events, including the fact that the original issues had been resolved and acknowledged by you before the subsequent payment error occurred.
We’re sorry we ultimately lost your trust, and we wish you all the best.

So far I’ve not had a bad experience. The food is good and actually tastes fresh compared to competitors (I’ve tried Simmer, Frive, Foodery, etc).
The feedback I would give though is:
1) Better order management on website, I think it needs a bit of work to make the process easier.
2) Don’t have all your meals delivered on Sunday because they will expire by Wednesday. Have two separate deliveries scheduled with them.
3) Price wise, they are on the more expensive side but the meals do taste good. Perhaps bigger portions to make up for the higher pricing would be nice.

After so many different prep companies out there , I came across bozu for my meal prep while training- the wraps are to die for ! Fast , reliable and tasty . Plus on top of the food , the customer service team are top notch!

Delivery Issue - but management dealt with
DPD delivered parcel to wrong address. Spoke to DPD who advised that Bozu need to raise an investigation with DPD. I emailed Bozu 24 hours ago to ask them to do this and send me a replacement order and no response. Also no phone number to contact them, only email, which is odd for a service-based business.
Update: had a direct call from the management team and two emails since. They have since dealt with it swiftly and I’m happy with the outcome

Feel misled over refund offer
Not a fan of subscription services which don't remind you before they charge. I am not organised enough to be thinking about the next week's delivery before this week's has even arrived! Been with Riverford and others for many years because they remind me and I feel less trapped.
22nd May Told full refund had been processed and personal details would be wiped from the system as requested
28th May They texted me. Told full refund had been processed on 26th May. I said it hadn't landed in my bank account. No response.
24th June Enquired about refund and told it was "switched to an account credit" because "the review was not taken down".
This series of events leaves me wondering whether the refund was processed in May as they stated (twice) and whether my details had been wiped as confirmed. How do you hold a credit on a wiped account?
I did cancel within 5 days rather than 7 because their website was down, but I tried on the live chat who said they would sort it. I do feel misled about the refund. And having it held to ransom over a favourable review is ethically-questionable for me.
Food was ok, but prefer Simmer on packaging, texture and reheating from frozen if I order too much.

Food quality is consistently excellent…
Food quality is consistently excellent and the most flavoursome I have had from a meal prep company. The menu choice is really varied. I have had a couple of issues with the online experience but it is generally pretty decent and easy to navigate.
I noticed some have had poor customer service but I have never had any issues and always found the staff to be very helpful in resolving any issues I have had so far all round it is a 5 star experience.
