Amazing quirky venue with friendly staff and great music will definitely be back
Tried to book with a Virgin voucher but multiple dates not available and more rules than the Lawn Tennis Association, most of them silly. They treat Virgin voucher holders as third class citizens. Sta... Mehr ansehen

Better service in McDonald's
Went last night with my children as a treat and was really disappointed. The actual ambiance is really good but it is let down by the basic attention to customer detail
We had to ask for drinks after waiting an age and puddings. The cocktails were really basic.
The food was good
We were not asked if we were enjoying the food or the evening
Then after waiting for drinks and food we were rushed out.
Then to top it all when we gave the token for the cloakroom it was snatched and coats thrown at us. I will spend my £200 elsewhere as there is plenty of choice in London
Cancelled my reservation and ruined Burns Night
Absolutely shocking. 2 weeks ago I booked directly via Boisdale's website a table for 2 for Burn's Night at 7pm, and received confirmation text. A few days later I got another text asking me to re-confirm the booking, which I did again.
Today being Burn's Night, I received a phone call from Boisdales at 12:44 but I was in a meeting. I called back less than 2 hours later at 14:28 to be told my reservation has been cancelled and I need to re-book and pay £198 because there's now a show that starts at 9:15pm! That's 2 and a quarter hours after my 7pm dinner reservation, I'll be gone by then.
I was told my booking is cancelled, nothing they will do to help. So my Burns Night has been ruined by Boisdales.
Boisedale was the place
Boisedale was the place. Had some great nights there. Now very expensive. With a band was £390 for 2! That’s with one of the cheapest wines on their list. Place half empty on a Friday night when historically would have been packed. Pity. Good formula but not at that price. Post Covid making up time I get it but I think you have over egged it.
Another great night out but beware 13.5% service charge on prepaid tickets
A second visit to Canary Wharf club (booked back in March) menu is again rather lacking in choices especially if you don’t eat meat or dairy like me but food is good quality and well presented. The staff were very attentive and worked perfectly as a team, venue was full with them serving easily 150 covers around 7.30pm sitting. A bottle of Prosecco is slightly overpriced at £49 but it was very nice, we had a 2nd bottle.
Music quality was not as good as last time we went, we think artists bands should be made to sound check earlier than show, but it was a good Lovers Rock show with two iconic queens of the Genre. If there was any criticism of the night it was that people who were not paying for premium seats with dinner surged forward dancing by tables of diners and left you with no view of the artists. Very hard for the staff to manage this though. The other issue was staff constantly walking in front of you obscuring view.
We do think them charging 13.5% service charge even if slightly discounted is a bit hefty on tickets and dinner prepaid for. I just hope staff gets the service charge in their wages then it’s not so bad.
None the less, the lifts worked this time and service was better, we had an really enjoyable night.

This review is going to be a serious one.
Working with Health & Safety industry for over 20 years, visited boisdales Saturday for our friend’s birthday bash! Lots of spillages on floor, I did advise the short EU ( wasn’t 100% sure if he was EU) guy with glasses behind the bar that there is currently a major spillage on the floor and if he could kindly arrange for someone to clean it up, as it could cause an accident, his response” well it wasn’t his problem, as he didn’t spill it”
My response, “ it will be your problem if someone fell and hurt themselves “
How irresponsible!
I don’t think we will go back after that! As it shows the bar staff will not inform cleaners of spillages. I wasn’t asking the bar staff to clean it, I wanted him to inform someone to clean it up and make it safe.
On 11th April 2023 I went to Boisdale…
On 11th April 2023 I went to Boisdale at Canary Wharf for a special celebration and to see the Definitive Rat Pack unfortunately this evening turned into a complete disaster. The Service was terrible, the waitress poured 2 caffetteries full of hot coffee down on my right arm and both legs. When I returned to my table after cooling down with cold water in the toilet I faced the table all brown with grounded coffee, they didn't even bother changing the table cloth. The manager had the audacity to come in and say "How do you like your coffee now?".
When I got the bill they said we didn't charge you for your drinks curtesy of their health and safety negligence, I guess (we had 2 glasses of white wine, bottle of water and the 2 caffetteries). Looked at the bill and couldn't believe my eyes, I had service charged added to it, at which point I was like “are you for real ... I am not paying service, for having my arm and legs burned”. They took it off the bill and we paid for the food.
I mean what a shame, they have really good bands playing there but customer service and health and safety measures is beyond belief.
Avoid this place at all cost. If I could give minus ten, I would have.
I hope all these great artists performing there find a different venue.
Paid £120 for a table and to watch…
Paid £120 for a table and to watch janet kay and carole thompson perform. Couldnt see the stage properly as the waiting staff kept walking past spoiling our view. My table eas very close to the people infront, so when he was recording on his phone i could not see. People constantly walking up and down the left side of me. Starter i only liked one thing , main i ordered steak, didnt like anything else on the menu. Appauled that we were charged for the bottle of water and bread.(i think this should of been included in the price.) People at the back who did not pay as much as us simply went to the front of the stage, whilst the performance was on . People to our left got to stand right near the stage. The question i ask is , what was premium about our seats, where our tables were cramed together, could not pull my seat out any further as i would of knocked the table behind me.very disapointing, would never go there again total rip off.bought a coctail for about 15 quid , could not taste the rum!!!!.absolute disgrace.
Be careful some servers overcharge on drinks
Be careful the drinks prices change depending in the server. I went with a group of friends and thr price of 2 spirits with mixers was £2 cheaper than the previous round for 3 spirits with mixers. The bar man with the bandana was extremely rude and unprofessional, I have never experienced anything like it. The prices are extortionate and bumped up by certain barmen
Shocking shocking shocking….booked for…
Shocking shocking shocking….booked for dinner and The Rat Pack. Dinner was very good but that is where the good feedback ends. Sound issues meant no Rat Pack. No communications at all and I mean at all. After waiting for over 1 hour I approached the manager who was hiding in the reception. No ownership, no apology, no communication. A crystal ball would have given me more information than the manager was prepared to offer. Customer Service was the worst I have experienced. I accept there can be issues but tell your customers what is going on so that we can make a decision. Good customer service = ownership and communication…. Both lacking tonight. Poor on all levels.
Kid Creole
Had a fantastic night celebrating my husbands birthday at his favourite band Kid Creole and the Coconuts - he had seen 8 times before
Lovely venue - great service and good food
10/10 for Kid Creole, the backing singers and the whole band
Top class
Kid Creole and the Cocnuts
bought 2 tickets to see Kid Creole and the Coconuts, despite numerous attempts was unable to get the tickets I had paid for. Ended up wasting £150 on their greed, their greed ruined what was supposed to be a birthday treat.
Spoilt for choice
After my recent whisky investment, I have found myself a lot more interested in whisky drinking. This place is truly amazing.
I had dinner there on Friday. The food was lovely but the real winner is the varied selection of whisky. I had previously read comments that to drink at Boisdale, you need a second mortgage and I can confirm this is true.
My partner and I decided to treat ourselves to a selection of 5 whiskies each and our bill was close to £350 in total.
It's not a place one can go to every week but if you are a whisky enthusiast (beginner or seasoned) you will love this place.
Terrible Experience
I booked Boisdale Canary Wharf for my husband’s 70th Birthday. I booked for 20 members of our family as a surprise (some we had not seen for over 18months due to the pandemic). At the time of booking I was told that due to the size of the group, we would be allocated two tables of ten side by side, which I confirmed was ok. On the morning of the booking, I received a phone call advising that we had been ‘upgraded’ to a private dining room. On arrival at the restaurant the member of staff on the front desk showed my daughter the private room which was away from the main restaurant, my daughter advised the staff member that at the time of booking we had specifically asked NOT to be placed in the private room as you do not get the full effect of the live band which is the whole selling point of this restaurant!!! This particular member of staff was extremely unhelpful and did not seem at all interested in helping us fix the problem at which point we asked to speak to the manager who then proceeded to tell us we had only booked for ten people (although the table was set for 20 in the private room!!!!!!)))) After much discussion, eventually tables were moved around and our party was split into two groups- one table of 6 and the remaining 14 people were squashed into a booth meant for 10…. Totally unacceptable. It took so long to sort the seating that the surprise was ruined. It then took over 1 hour for anyone to take food order, when the food did eventually arrive, some was missing and some of the party did not get served mains at the same time as the rest of the table. Completely shambolic experience from start to finish and would avoid at all costs for a large group.
Logged a complaint on the day and two subsequent phone calls but still no resolution other than a free round of drinks on the day offered to us just before we were about to leave when quite frankly we just wanted to get out of there!
