I had a good experience
I had a good experience with Bimblesolar in March and April, especially considering the level of demand in the renewables sector at the moment. They were upfront about availability and communicated very effectively. Grant was particularly helpful breaking up my order to keep my project progressing while waiting for other parts to come in stock. I am already a repeat customer now and may come back again in the near future too.

not a good experience,A refund could have been given on recite of pick up by you couriers?? It was time sensitive?
I ordered a solis Energy Storage 3.6kW Hybrid 5G Inverter with DC switch for On Grid Hybrid, cost GBP 1,221.58 on the 4 February. The deliver cost £25, a package arrived wed, 9 February, it was the wrong inverter s5-gr1p3.6k-mdceu-m08-4-ct-li-fn G83/3 cost £364.90 excl. VAT. a far cheaper inverter, I complained the same day received a reply Thur.10 they wanted photos of the item and serial numbers on the carton, I sent the photos same day. They replied same day saying that there store personnel would ring me ASAP. I texted them Fri.11 AM saying I was still waiting for the call? i received a phone call in the afternoon, spoke to the person asking for a full refund as I had found another unit £150 cheaper with next day delivery FREE. Could not order that because he refused a refund, even for the difference of the over charge of £856-68, no go he want the inverter back at there stores before any chance of a refund? Told me that it was to be picked up Mon 21 between 09.00 and 17.00. I waited in all day and at 16.45 I received an email saying it would be picked up on the Tue. 22. it got pick up. They received it back Wed 23, although I got a refund on the Thur 24. it would take around three to five day before it would get back in to my bank for me to be able to organise getting another inverter, so I was with out an inverter from 4 Feb to around 24 Feb. not a good experience, would not use again and would not recommend,

Extremely disappointing experience
Extremely disappointing experience with Bimble Solar.
We ordered three Honda Generators at the end of December, not a small order. We were patient, we’re reasonable people, we understand that there are supply chain disruptions going on.
After a little while we followed up on this and we were told that the generators would arrive by the end of January. Still no delivery.
We followed up again in February, where we were then told that orders at the ‘back end of 2021’ had now been fulfilled. Where were our generators then?
We were then told that the price had gone up, so they were cancelling our order. Which is against consumer law. Once offer and acceptance has taken place so legally, they owe you the item at the price you paid.
We chose Bimble because they offered a service where they’d fit hour counters to our generators which is a requirement for our application. Had they have just picked up the phone and said the price has gone up a little, but we’ll meet you in the middle or something we’d have been happy with that.
We received an order confirmation, no goods, and a forced refund when Bimble realised that they weren’t going to do very well out of the order.
And to top it all, they are STILL taking money for the same item on their website...

Great supplier for solar systems
After deciding to invest in a DIY solar solution I did some research for the best components. I wanted a supplier who was able to provide the main parts for my desired solution. With Bimble Solar I found a supplier who could provide Victron, Pylontech and many highly reputable solar panel products. I configured my new system online and asked the technician of Bimble Solar JS to double check my configuration before pulling the trigger. JS was very helpful and patient with my stupid questions. In many phone calls and emails he figured out what I really needed. After ordering of my kit the sales manager GA did a great job to chase the parts not available from stock. I got frequently an update about the status of the order. As the scale of my project became bigger I had to order more stuff. Again Bimble Solar was a reliable supplier of high quality products to an affordable price. Delivery to Scotland was always within 2 or 3 days.
During start-up of the system I had an issue with the charger. Literally within minutes I got a response from the technician of Bimble Solar and the problem was solved in no time. I'm totally happy with my system today and would highly recommend Bimble Solar.

EXPENSIVE & VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
EXPENSIVE & VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Spoken to someone called HUW ("Senior Technical") for a whole day working out a quote for a FULL off grid set up. I had only a week to do this before going back out to Europe. After quoting me above average prices (all their suff can be found cheaper else where and there are plenty of other businesses looking for repeat business) I was whiling to just get it as I was on a short time window but only to be let down at the end of the day (ON A FRIDAY) and by email and no phone call.
They were the closest to me but I much rather go else where and be sure to have the suff I need and not be let down.
Me and my friends were very disappointed by this and we are not going to bother with Bimblesolar. As I've said, there are plenty of others selling the same at cheaper prices and much better customer service.
I am only giving one star as there is no option for NO STARS.

Brilliant Bimble as usual.
Have used Bimble Solar a couple of times now and have found them to be fantastic both times. Pre sales support was excellent and a big thank you goes to Laura, for listening to my needs, discussing relevant options and helping me to understand not only what it was I needed to buy but why. We needed to make a bespoke kit for my narrowboat and now I'm pulling in the power in December. Delivery was efficient and secure and after sales was there when I needed it. They are a great company who I will always support and recommend to others. Thanks Bimble, for always being brilliant.

They wont talk on the telephone ?

I understand time is money but surely if you won’t chat to a potential customer and help them with what they need that’s not very customer friendly.
It seems to me if you know what you want and you are in the Solar trade they want that type of business ?
But if you are just a normal customer they won’t talk to you ?
Received an email back stating all the things they need to know and they can’t advise without this information etc,etc,etc, so need to do all this by email ?
Would have just been quicker to speak to me 😂

Poor customer relations
Poor customer relations. I placed an order for batteries on the weekend and the order was cancelled on the Monday with no communication from them at all. This was weird as they seemed to have lots of them in stock. Considering the research and price hunting time spent I thought they would have at least appologised for the inconvenience they caused me. I took my £1200 elsewhere and purchased my batteries. Loosing a £1200 sale shows me they have no business sense.

Brilliant Service, 10/10.
Absolutly amazing service. I spoke to a lovely sales woman called Laura. She asked my needs and within 10 minutes had created me a shopping cart with every item I would have needed. Sent streight to my email and ready for me to purchase. Brilliant customer service, absolutly amazing staff (both Laura and the warehouse staff). I could not recommend Bimble Solar enough! I needed advice, and two solar panels. I phoned, got through on the first attempt, spoke to someone who understood my needs and confirmed my purchase choice. I ordered two panels at 12:05, by 12:24 the next day I had my goods. No hesitation to recommend this supplier.

Campervan Solar Setup
I had absolutely no knowledge of solar power or campervan electrics when I went to Grant at Bimble Solar seeking advice for the best set up for our 2007 T5 transporter.
Nothing was too much trouble for Grant as he sent countless emails to me over a number of weeks, ensuring I was completely happy with the system he had specified before ordering. Grant also put me in touch with a local installer in Brighton, who did a fantastic job installing our system for a great cost.
I would absolutely recommend Bimble to anyone looking to buy a solar system for their campervan or motorhome.

We ordered a complete set up for our camper conversion form Bimble. Grant helped us with the products that we needed, and helped me with the overall instructions on how to fit and wire in. I have drove him mad with questions, and he has replied quickly and very helpful, even throwing in a FOC breaker that I forgot to order. I would 100% recommend them, and would 100% use this company in the future. 5 stars is not enough.

The DPD chap who delivered was brilliant, He delivered the parcel then spent ages playing with my dog. The dog was devastated when he left.

Rude customer service, refusal to fix mistakes, extortionate shipping prices
I was unfortunate enough to have the experience of purchasing from Bimble Solar. They refused to answer questions on the phone and ignored email queries about an order, dispatching the wrong items at an extortionate shipping price as a result. The email replies that I eventually got (one email exchange per day max), were rude and unhelpful, basically to the tune of 'it's too late now, not our problem'. Will never use this company again and would recommend anyone to use one of the many alternatives available. After this experience I researched Bimble's reviews on Google and ebay and saw that this isn't unusual for them, wish I'd looked properly beforehand.

Further response to lies by the companies owner below: the shipping problem is down to an error in Bimble Solar's system overcharging customers. Every single courier I checked quotes significantly less for delivery than charged including their choice of DPD. Refusing to fix this problem when highlighted is a money grab and simply amounts to theft as far as I'm concerned. Regardless, the correspondence I had with them was rude and short (as described) and they refused to speak on the phone advising to 'just email' and hanging up. This resulted in unwanted items being dispatched before the problem was resolved as they ignored email queries. It's also shocking that the company director thinks it's acceptable to publish personal private information of customers in a public online setting in response to a negative review.
I at no time threatened to leave a bad review or demanded money back. As you can see from the personal email posted, I was reasonable. Obviously, Mr Atkins has no qualms about posting emails publicly and would likely copy and paste any demand or threat if there ever was one, but of course there was not. A man and a company with no morals.
I've left two negative online reviews in my life, only as a result of particularly injust or poor experiences that I've felt should be shared to warn others. Interestingly enough, it seems as if Bimble Solar have opted out of open public reviews on Google and Facebook.
