So far terrible company, the online portal tells you nothing, they do not update you and when you ring them they tell you they need more information and send you an email to action at the same time....
they used the full ten days and we called them after 12 to be told we need other information....this is a joke.
Why do insurances still use them? my claim following a fire was 2 months ago and still need to replace the damaged items but i cannot go out and buy more in case they replace them or give me vouchers as i do not want 2 of everything. Our Poor child has been without a bike for 2 months and we cannot just go an buy a new one.
Terrible Service
Hopefully we will get another update with more emails to send when we ring them again tomorrow, even though their website says they close at 5.30 every day the phonelines are off at 5pm which is a nightmare if you work day shifts
Desperately disappointed
Avoid at all costs.
I have had home insurance with Aviva for as long as I can remember and have never made a claim. When I did make a simple claim Aviva agreed to settle. I had expected financial compensation. Instead I was passed on to Be Valued and it ended up costing me a lot of money because of their poor procedures and errors. Desperately disappointed.
Aviva should stop using them.
Poor system
The claim process was easy enough but it took the full ten working days to be sorted. As it was his bike that we claimed for my adult son, who was listed as a second email contact, accepted the offer and paid the excess. No further emails to acknowledge payment or next steps. Call handlers are not very helpful. Getting through to anyone takes ages with awful on hold 'music'

I have only just started with my claim and already , I am having problems with this company.
I was returning a desktop computer that my son has broken.
DPD turned up with a box that was too small to put the computer in. They said they would be back the next day but didn't turn up.
Bevalued phoned me and said they would send a box.
That is when the trouble started.......
The box arrived and I booked a day for it to be picked up. No one turned up. I booked it again ....no one turned up. Booked again....No one turned up.
I thought maybe the date button was faulty so....I thought I would email them.
Could not find an email address so....I phoned them.
After 20 minutes on the phone at position number 5 and no sign of moving , I ended the call.
Phoned twice more over the next 2 days and again, over 10 minutes without moving a position so....decided to call the AA.
I told them of the issues I was having and asked them if they were aware of trust pilot reviews on the company. 66% were 1 star.
I think it fell on deaf ears.
Next thing , I get a call from Bevalued to arrange delivery and I told the young lady that I was out on Friday until 11am but she still booked me in for that day and said she couldn't give me a time for the courier calling on me.
I again told her that I was not home until after 11am.
It still didn't register with her.
I have now hit my head on the wall several times and that sadly did not help either.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS TOTAL COWBOYS
Would get zero stars they are the worse company I’ve ever had the misfortune to get involved with. Had to claim fir my MacBook through more than after dropping it , they then referred us to these so called cowboys who claim to be an apple authorised repair centre , the MacBook was returned with software installed by them stating it (my MacBook) belonged to a company who I had never heard of, they said it was my fault and they didn’t cover software faults even though they had installed the software after replacing the main board, we ended up going to the ombudsman about this , still waiting but I would avoid any insurance company who uses this shower of sh@te company, I will never insure with more than again it’s not worth the hassle

A professional and polite call with Rob
I was served by Rob, but, was really apprehensive prior to the call reading these comments. Rob very much understood I was deaf and really politely worked with me to ensure I could hear him well. Rob explained the situation and how they make progress with my claim being very clear. He listened when I explained my evaluation that despite a loss of my garden tools, I'd want the black and decker hedge trimmer that I'd lost, but not a battery charger as I'd still got one with my 36v chainsaw, and rather than buy a Terratek Grass strimmer in my claim, I decided to invest up and get a black and decker grass strimmer so it could use the same batteries as part of a one system. Rob had an appreciation of my thoughts. I'd also explained that I didn't want a cheap toolbox that I had before but a more expensive trolly toolbox that I was going to invest in so it was easier to carry tools between home and allotment across the road. From a negative situation, I evaluated and explained that I was going to use this to a positive outcome for me. Rob explained clearly their process that I'd go thorough, they would look at websites and might find a cheaper replacement for the SAME product. I honestly accept the company's ethos that why spend more money to buy the same product if it could be cheaper elsewhere, especially given I'm too lazy to use Amazon for everything these days. We all could do with getting out of that trap. I was given the option that they could order for me, or I would be able to accept their cost evaluation and receive cash, like for like so I could move forward with my new ideas. I've not seen that evaulation of costs yet but will review that outcome in 5-7 working days. The point is, it was a polite conversation, it was all made clear to me, I was treated with respect and I found it helpful and re-assuring. My view is whatever I get will be better than nothing, that's what insurance is for and I appreciate that at at time I wasn't expecting a loss. I will be able to add my own money as I was going to anyway, and move forward positively with different tools that will work much better for my needs as my life stands now. It's important for me to see this as a positive 'up yours' to the thieves helping to put me in a better position than before, despite the upset and inconvenience it has caused. Rob was very professional and re-assuring throughout.
Claims Take An Eternity
My insurance policy is actually with a reputational bank, but they use BeValued to deal with their claims.
It took over a week before my settlement was sorted out via e-mail. They take days to respond, despite them saying it is 1-2 business days. I got fed up with the waiting and decided to call.
Saying that though, the first time I called to accept the settlement, I was told by the agent she needed to make some adjustments on the system and she would call me back. They never called back and I had to call back the next day.
The second agent I spoke to was a bit better, she sorted out my Curry's voucher and my cash payment was send to me within 2 business days.
I was advised that I would receive my replacement items from WEX in 2 business days. 3 business days later I still hadn't received anything.
I spoke to a third agent and she advised me I should have the items next day or at the latest 2 days.
2 days go by, nothing.
I spoke to a fourth agent. He put me on hold and then came back to tell me his computer needed rebooting and he would call me back right away. 30 minutes later he had not called back.
I called back and spoke to a fifth agent (Jordan) - he was my shining star, he was the most helpful and nice of all the people I spoke to through all this. He managed to tell me that WEX was shipping it out today and I would receive it in 2 business days. However, he couldn't offer me a tracking number, but he gave me a number for me to enquire myself.
Clearly the customer service here is a big problem. I would advise others dealing with them to be vigilant as they generally don't seem to care enough to even call you back.
Bevalued very good service
My claim was referred over to Bevalued by Barclays/Aviva home insurance . The claim was accidental damage to my ceramic Hob .
I was contacted a few hours after being emailed to say they were handling the claim .
Which they did in one phone call , and arranged replacement to be delivered . Very helpful lady on the phone .
Very happy.
Reading reviews here, I was worried about the repair to my phone. Fortunately for me, everything went very smoothly, from initial contact to final paying of the excess. From claim to having the phone back in my hands was just over a week, and the repair was excellent.
Be Valued or Be ware???
I was directed to Bevalued by my insurer after I killed my laptop with a cup of coffee. I was offered a lesser spec device, which I had to buy (using a voucher) from Currys. I queried it and the reply was a load of incomprehensible geek speak but I was offered a cash settlement, less of course the discount they get from Currys. I politely declined their derisory offer as the laptop I requested was on offer at an alternative retailer at £200 less than Currys.
I called my insurer direct (AXA) they listened to my thoughts on Bevalued, in one 5minute call and without dispute they settled for the figure (less excess) that has allowed me to purchase the laptop I requested.
So my advice don't be brow beaten by this mob they are not there to help but rather help themselves.
So 1 star for Bevalued and 5 stars for AXA,
Disgraceful and dishonest behaviour by BeValued
In July '19 my wife dropped her five month old Apple iPhone and broke the back. Our insurance company said they could get it repaired by BeValued using an Apple authorised repairer and using genuine Apple parts. Stupidly I agreed as I took them at their word. BeValued advertise on their website that Apple products are repaired by an Apple authorised repairer using Apple parts. The phone was never quite the same but it wasn't until this year that Apple in Glasgow informed us that it has been poorly repaired by an unauthorised repairer and the back now glued on the phone was certainly not an Apple part. They then refused to have anything do with it as they no longer regarded it to be an Apple product. We complained to our insurance company who asked BeValued to investigate. Guess what, they placed all the blame on the insurance company and denied any culpability. When challenged with e-mails from 2019 countering their reasoning, they just changed their story and continued to absolve themselves.
Disgraceful company that now has a Trading Standards complaint against them.

They have absolutely no intention of replacing your goods on a like for like basis. They try to replace with cheaper and inferior products.

After 3 weeks still no replacements and now they send it back to the insurance company due to there incompetence, they are useless
Sent a receipt for my sunglasses from Oakley for 180 and they try to replace with a totally different pair for 99.00
it gets worse than that, but they dont Care as they are not worried about customers as they rely on insurance companies forcing customers to them

Unbelievable worst ever to deal with
Unbelievable worst ever to deal with. We have had home insurance for as long as we can remember and have never made a claim. We made a claim some weeks ago when the storms hit the UK and someone thought it was ok to relieve us of our bikes and some other items from our shed as the storm had blown our fence down. Now not only when you fill your claim for out do you feel guilty but they make you feel guilty when they call you. Who on earth keeps receipts for items bought some 20 months ago. I will never ever use this company again and will revert back to our old home insurers.

Customer service is terrible, they have had my claim for 4 weeks and still have not got back to me about my items. Have got to be the worst company I have engaged with in years.
Totally pathetic company
Totally pathetic company, passed to BV by Nationwide home ins. I had lost items, replacement value conservative estimate £4130 as a result of a burglary at my home.
No action for three weeks, after several phone calls to BV lasting 40 mins plus, mostly on hold, plus numerous promises to return my calls I received an email offing £757 in vouchers issued by a company who now longer ship to Northern Ireland due to ongoing Brexit issues.
Called Nationwide who as usual pass the buck to BV waste of time yet again, they ask do you want to register a complaint, I’m sure that would be worthwhile.
I pointed out that the items taken were named and valued on my policy and that the replacement amount was verified, asked why I had been offered a fraction of their value, at this point told this is our valuation and there’s nothing you can do about it. Waste of time paying home insurance to these companies!
No customer service, ignorant, condescending staff, avoid Nationwide home ins and their partners Bevalued!!!!!!!

Unbelievable
So, back in the summer I broke the corner of my Galaxy note. Made a claim and the screen was replaced.
A few days back I reached for the phone and on picking it up I found my thumbnail slipped into the phone as the seal had failed.
So, I called the insurance co, who put me onto their repair co BeValued who initially claimed the phone was out of their warranty. After a discussion they agreed the phone was in warranty and arranged for the phone to be collected.
Yesterday Amber from BeValued called, stating that as the phone had other damage (Scratched screen and a scuff mark) it is out of their warranty.
I asked if they were suggesting the damage had contributed to the seal failing? Not at all was their reply, but it still invalidated the Warranty.
Those who know me, will know a long debate ensued, seemingly to no avail, I asked for a copy of the warranty, Amber couldn’t find one, but has promised to send me one and raise a complaint on my behalf.
Whilst on hold I happened to google BeValued, their rating is 45% of their customers are unhappy with their service!
Of course, I’ve registered the matter with my insurance company and no doubt will be interested how next week goes.
